Chechen Guards of President Saakashvili
Ethnic problems were always inherent in the Caucasus. And in the light of it Georgia is not an exception to the rule. Recovering own independence, the country, in fact, has lost its autonomies. First of all I’m speaking about Abkhazia and South Ossetia, of course. Georgians shed a lot of blood during these conflicts. And I think the main damage was caused to them by their perennial enemies - Chechens. There is well-known that thanks to own militancy Chechens succeeded in basing on the territory of Georgia, for instance in Pankissi Gorge. Former Georgian leaders were turning a blind eye to this problem. And it seems to me only present-day President Michael Saakashvili decided to resolve it in reality. He has sanctioned antiterrorist operations in villages, where Chechens live. Thus, he achieved some progress and as a result he demonstrated who is “a master in the house” as the saying goes. Furthermore, he was able to change most Chechens from enemies of the Georgian people into own allies in the struggle for restoring the territorial integrity of Georgia. And former Chechen militants and bandits gave up their criminal past and began to reinforce Special Task units in Tbilisi in order to operate in various possible military campaigns against separatist regimes of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. So there’s no denying Saakashvili has “wisdom” and talent of killing two birds with one stone. Legalizing Chechen semi-criminal military organizations, he is going to confer on them a greater part of responsibility for losses that come after active actions in autonomies. Thus, many Georgian soldiers continue to be alive, whereas their Chechen brothers-in-arms win back forgiveness for their past can-carrier and in the end they will be granted the right to live further in so hospitable Georgia. Good idea, isn’t it?!

I don't get it where you get "those" thoughts about Chechen's in Georgian army. Georgians are very friendly nation as a whole, but I seriously doubt that they can so easily forget all the crimes they have committed against Georgians in Abkazia.. Saakashvili is not Putin which can shake hands with killers like President of Uzbekistan that has just recently killed 4000+ own civilians)
I think there is a threat that Russians once again may use those Chechen terrorists against Georgia as they did before..Some big huge country's never learn by there mistakes.
