I don't think you get the gist of the post "who cares"...... what radical muslims did do is bring it into our living rooms
....and awoke the bull, and now they are going to get both horns....

I'd say I've been getting that gist for at least 8 years now. At least you've akcnowledged that muslims did not start this fight. At least some part of you cared enough to get that fact straight.

Saddam started this when he invaded Kuwait. I'm not sure if you'd call Saddam a Muslim...perhaps, eh?

No, I don't think that's quite right, it seems fairly clear the US and the British started this when they overthrew Mossadegh, but what do you care?
As for Saddam I was calling him a monster back when the US was still calling him a friend, but again, what do you care?

I wasn't aware we had troops fighting in Iran. You learn something new everyday.
Re: Mossadegh. A Communist sympathizer who nationalizes one's oil wells in the McCarthy Era gets what he deserves. Plus I'm sure you're aware that the Shah was put in by the Soviets and British during WW2...not the Americans in the 50s. He just took over from Mossadegh as per the Iranian monarchy of many thousands of years. The Shah was put on the throne in 1941 due to his daddy courting the Nazis...going so far as to rename Persia to Iran (Aryan). But why am I telling you this?...You're an expert on this!

I think thats the problem nobody cares who started what, it's been generations now....and both sides have no idea why we dislike each other....just that we do.....does it really matter to know who started it....we both wake up scratch our balls, spit on the floor, and wipe our ass with our favorite middle eastern dictactor toilet paper.....look out the window and snarl "wonder what those damn middle easterners are up to today"....
But for years it had been contained to one side shooting down a jet, the other side blowing up this or that....ya we disliked each other .....but 911 and OB brought all that into our front rooms....they attacked on our soil....WTF was he thinking ""bring the war to America he said"""....i guess he was counting on the US not doing anything.....Surprise, surprise ,surprise.....my five year old could of told him that was a bad move.....and then they act like they were surprised at the amount of NATO forces pouring in to Afghan....OBL gave them the keys to the door all the US did was kick it down....and now some of us are wondering maybe we started this whole thing....""""WHO CARES"""

Meanwhile, please explain in point form (if you're capable) how this event in 1953 caused 9-11 in 2001 and so forth. I look forward to your detailed response.

DOP seems to. You don't seem to have any disagreement with the fact this is a war involving two sides. Do you care enough to explain to him how to connect the dots? I doubt he has much time for anything I might have to say.
In any case here's a link or two to chew on, assuming anyone around here cares.

"There is no surprise," Zogby said when asked about the fact of CIA involvement,
But he added that Obama's admission of it was a "very important statement, it's the beginning of closing the chapter."
Of course there will be other chapters that need closing too, but its a start.
