The protesters are either stupid or are hypocrites

Wait until Canada tries to build more pipelines and terminals on the west coast....your stupid protesters will come out in droves.

Look at all of the oil pipelines already in Nebraska

http://energy.nationaljournal.com/McCown_map.php

They're neither stupid nor hypocritical. It's the route of the Keystone XL Pipeline, through the Sandhills and over the Ogallala aquifer, that they object to.

And so in the meantime, 140,000 more Americans can do without jobs. That's fine with you though, I suppose.

Do you think those 140,000 Americans are more important than the 1,000,000+ people, also Americans, who live in Nebraska? Many of them, including the Governor, are concerned, as I said, that the Pipeline would pass over Ogallala aquifer, which supplies about 80 percent of Nebraska's water for drinking and irrigation.

But of course your concern is for the 140,000 Americans without jobs, eh?

<_<

Yeah, right.

Oh they'll turn up, but our majority gov't will tell them to piss up a rope.

Do you think those 1 million people will have importance over the Americans invested in transcanada, or the millions who will pay the price for potentially higher oil revenues. But nonetheless I am not too concerned. We went with through this thing with r-calf in 03 and the meat packing industry told them to pound sand. Never count out big money. I give those granola munchers a year maybe two if Obama wins.

It's their state, so yes - they have importance as to what transpires in their state. The Nebraska Legislature most definitely will play an important role regarding the outcome of the Keystone XL Pipeline.

I'm concerned about US jobs because I'm concerned about the Canadian economy.

I'm not sure what you're saying .....

Nebraska Advances Bill to Re-Route TransCanada’s Keystone XL

Nebraska lawmakers in a special session have signaled early support for a bill that would give the state’s governor authority over pipeline routes, potentially threatening TransCanada Corp.’s proposed Keystone XL.
