If Obama and Republican politicians in Congress want to fight a war with Iran why don't they put on uniforms and parachute over Iran themselves?

Why should working class Americans fight and die and get injured in wars that only seem to benefit the rich?

Why don't we draft the adult children of the wealthiest 1% and send them to fight the wars?

Anyway, it's completely hypocritical of the US government and Israel to complain about Iran getting nuclear weapons, because the United States and Israel have nuclear weapons. The USA has the biggest stockpile of nuclear weapons in the world! What hypocrisy!

And all this saber rattling from Israel and the United States government only makes Iran feel more vulnerable and more likely to want a nuclear bomb to defend itself.

Hands off Iran! Leave Iran alone! They already suffered enough under the USA supported Shaw dictatorship.

Well, as always it depends upon your point of view. Your argument about not getting involved is exactly what allowed WWII to develop into a much bigger conflict. Being unopposed, Hitler was free to take military action to higher and higher levels. By the time America finally entered the war it was a raging conflagration.

As for Iran being entitled to having the Bomb just because America does, you can extend that to any country. How about Somalia? Or better yet, Ruanda?

Couldn't you just imagine what would have happened in that Hutsu/Tutsu slaughter of millions if one side or the other had had a Bomb or two?

Like it or not many foreign leaders do not share your impression of the leadership in Iran. In a word, they think they're nuts! Fanatics, with little or no regard for life.

You might (and likely would!) say that those Iranian leaders are nothing like that. Even if that were true, Iran has made absolutely no effort to prove that impression false. Their sabre rattling over the Straights of Hormuz is an example of how they look even more belligerent.

It's easy for you and others to sit here and say "We shouldn't get involved and it won't be necessary anyway." You have no skin in the game. If you're wrong it's not you who will suffer.

because sabre rattling over the straights of hormuz is like the genocide in rwanda. they're soooooooo crazy by threatening to close the path after being heavily sanctioned and being told every day by two nuclear powers that 'every option is on the table' in regards to an attack.

there are issues. You see, 1. an operating nuclear plant is not the same as a plant in construction difference between OSIRAK and places an NANTAZ. 2. Iran has many facilities some in which current munitions Israel has cannot penetrate (only the US has the newest super BBU's. So in this way ONLY the US can take out Iran's hardened facilities. The US however is economically exhausted and would really position itself poorly against China if it were to undertake a war against Iran. Also the destruction of Iran's facilities is not the same as OSIRAK, as I ran will take steps which required continued US war presence in Iran, and Iran will also be better positioned at this stage than the invasion of Iraq because it didn't disarm itself willingly like Iraq did before it was invaded.

Israel has flown test flights, but it is unlikely current Israeli jets would penetrate Iranian airspace successfully as it would need advanced stealth technology only the US has.


It is more likely Israel is testing pilots who will jump into the f35's. With the f35 stealth technology an attack may succeed in damaging some systems, but Israel doesn't have the bombs it needs to take out the hardened sites, and it will piss of the gulf if the wind blows the wrong way, or Pakistan another nuclear armed state. I'm guessing the US still has personnel in Afghanistan that could be effected by fallout, and so too India wouldn't be happy. Russia to the North also wouldn't be happy.


They would fail.

The US airforce could rain hell down, but it would be doing so at the cost of its own future. The US can't afford another multi trillion dollar war, and Obama, ain't gonna do that in an election year, he would loose the hippy vote, and potentially the election as a result. Congress hasn't authorized war with Iran as far as I'm aware.
