israel's sponsorship of terrorism

31 posts in this topic

....Another poster tried to use the Israeli draft to argue that the rich do actually fight in wars. When I was saying that the rich do not fight in wars that they profit from I was referring to the United States.

But of course...only peaceful and poor communist states are free of "terrorism" and "oppression". There never really were any Cuban troops in Angola! ;)

If Israel is behind the recent liquidation of Iranian nuclear scientists (which seems to a dangerous job in Iran, lately!), then good for Israel. The possible acquisition of nuclear weaponry by Iran presents an existential threat to Israel, so Israel has a moral obligation to prevent this from happening. Those who wish to label this as "Israeli terrorism" are engaging in the usual hysterics and attempts to paint Israel with the same brush that is reserved for Islamist filth like Hezbollah and Hamas.

Let's not pretend that Iran doesn't have blood on its hands. It provides support to Hezbollah, Hamas, and other terrorist outfits in and around Israel - including weapons, technology, intelligence, funding, and political/propagandist support. For the purposes of trivia to those that didn't already know - during the summer 2006 Israel-Hezbollah war, Israeli soldiers captured Iranian weapons and tech and intercepted Farsi communications. And that's to say nothing of Iran's complicity in mass murder in two terrorist attack in Buenos Aires in the 1990s, material and political support to terrorists who actively murder American and coalition troops in Iraq, and on and on and on.

If Israel was indeed indeed behind these recent liquidations of Iranian nuclear scientists, then bravo.

You would be one of the FIRST to air your complaints about an Israeli scientist being killed in the same fashion We'd never hear the freaking end of it.

Every single intelligence agency on the planet can be considered a terrorist organization. That includes the Mossad, CIA, MI5 and yes Canada's CSIC.

Don't worry. A complainer complained and now the likes of 'Bob' will just be a small victory for you and others on the glorious march towards free speech.

Today, on a radio program, I listen to a journalist from Israel, talking about the problems in the Middle-East and Iran. He said he didn't understand how the talk about Iran so-called Nukes were real, when the government of Israel hadn't prepared 60% of the country for war with Iran, even if Iran just used missiles and not nukes. He also said that IF they were making the nukes, that they are so far into the round that nothing could touch them.

Remember the bunker busters that Israel took delivery of in the last few years??

Why should an Israeli soldier shoot an Iranian soldier, and vice versa?

Are any of you familiar with the Christmas Truce during the first world war? There was a book about it, I believe it was called Silent Night if I remember correctly. Anyway, one Christmas Eve the soldiers on the Western front who were sick and tired of the war stopped shooting at each other, and instead began meeting each other in the no man's land between the trenches, and soon they were drinking together and playing football together and otherwise having a great time.

The next day they didn't feel like fighting either. So they drank more, had more fun together, and this went on day after day. The lower officers were cool with this, as they were sick of the war too.

But when the generals living further back behind the lines found out about it they quickly put an end to this spontaneous peace by threatening the soldiers with court-martial and execution.

The Israeli working class is plenty upset about their difficult living conditions in Israel. The Israeli bourgeoisie underpays the Israeli worker, but simultaneously charges the Israeli worker dearly for basic necessities. Of course, the Israeli politicians are the friends of the Israeli bourgeoisie. In addition, many Iranians (perhaps many rank-and-file soldiers within the Armed Forces itself) are not too happy about the Iranian regime either.

And many of us Americans are not interested in a war with Iran. Many of us are sick and tired of the one percent and their prostitute-politicians of both political parties. The enemy of the American worker is not in Iran. Iranians are not foreclosing on American homes! The Iranians didn't ruin the economy with derivative schemes! The Iranians didn't give away our tax money away to the wealthiest 1% in bailout schemes! The enemy of the American worker is on Wall Street and in Washington, DC
