The name-calling and rhetoric coming out of the Conservatives lately should offend any true Conservative. Vic Toews saying Canadians side with child pornographers and Anders here calling Conservative veterans "NDP hacks" and supporters of Putin (not to be confused with Pierre Poutine). I hope they keep this up because there's no faster way to turn Canadians off from your message than to engage in this kind of garbage politics.Once again.. for my entertainment....

"History I believe furnishes no example of a priest-ridden people maintaining a free and civil government. This marks the lowest grade of ignorance, of which their political as well as their religious leaders will always avail themselves for their own purpose."

Also, last night on the news (sorry I didnt read the article posted) they said that the veteran group in the meeting was going to sue him for libel? Not to split hairs here but from what I gathered from them interviewing the two veterans present it seemed to me that it was them individually that said they would sue and not the group. And he said it so wouldn't it be slander?
Back on topic...I loathe this kind of rhetoric but it is possible he was cranky because he didnt get a full nap in.

Yeah if he going to fire back with nonsense rhetoric he should at least have used an actual left-wing leader 'NDP hacks' would support. Putin? Really?

Remember the heat the TTC employee took for falling asleep? IIRC he was on medication that made him drowsy and I believe he did pass away shortly after these pictures were taken.
So.. Where are all the Conservatives .. when it comes to one of their own WELL PAID, Consertive MP SLEEPING
I guess he meets a different pay grade and there can be no outrage for sleeping on the job...

He's not as bad as Dipper Ryan Cleary.
Dippers, Cons, Lieberals -> all of these are insults.

I'm confused, I remember some conservatives wining about me calling the CPC "Cons", If I can't call CPC "Cons" and liberals "Liebrals" then no one can call the NDP "Dippers"
Here's my good deed for the day. We can't write CRAP=conservative/reform/alliance/party either. Just so you know as I was told.

Mike..I know what the rules say (Leiberals I can see)...But Con,Dips,Libs???
It's time to lighten up a little...
Jack - I don't make the rules, nor do I enforce them. I'm just the messenger here.

I know...
But the rules need to be looked at...
Cons...Libs...Dips....They are just goofy short forms and not really perjorative because I've heared members of all three party's use those terms describing the party they belong to...

Well first he said ending the seal hunt should be considered, after it caused an uproar he backtracked and now seems to constantly be wearing seal skin.I don't think I remember this one.
He said last week that after 6 years as an MP a $28,000 pension isn't enough for him because he works so hard. Now he says he misspoke because he was caught off guard at a charity even playing Wii bowling, he also brought up that he was wearing seal skin at the time. He now says MPs don't deserve pensions after 6 years.
As a journalist he use to refer to Jack Layton as "Jackie Layton", and refered to NDP supporters as "Gucci socialist", "aging granolas", and "artsy fartsy types". The NDP were also a "lame political duck" and Jackie couldn't form government with a 100 seat head start.
He was also a Newfoundland separatists and was highly critical of Quebec, but I won't get into all that.
