"History I believe furnishes no example of a priest-ridden people maintaining a free and civil government. This marks the lowest grade of ignorance, of which their political as well as their religious leaders will always avail themselves for their own purpose."

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Thick As A Brick by Jethro Tull yet, 44 mins and some seconds long. Thick As A Brick II was released April 2nd, have to get a copy. Sadly it hasn't been released on vinyl, just CD, oh well, you can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes you just might find you get what you need. :D

Can we assume all 10+ min songs by prog-rockers Rush and Pink Floyd have already been posted lol, they are kinda assumed on such lists.
"Why has government been instituted at all? Because the passions of men will not conform to the dictates of reason and justice, without constraint." - Alexander Hamilton

"Did you know that today 27,000 children will die of preventable diseases such as diarrhea, measles, and malnutrition? That's the same as if an airplane full of children crashed every 16 minutes, killing everyone onboard." - Aug. 2005 edition of 'Warcry', official magazine of the Salvation Army

Actually no,one shouldn't assume that...

And we haven't got to the really self indulgent stuff from Yes and Genesis...

I don't know if this is the longest but the CCR's "I've heard through the grapevine" is 11 minutes, which I have on the album, but this version is under 4 minutes make for radio.
