Public sector costs are out of line..pensions,including politicians, sick days, waste and taxes take OVER 40 % of our income.

<_< More than on goods and services! It's revolting. So lets!

BTW... :( Todays the last day to pay/file income tax...without penalty. :(

He hates taxes and wants all schools, health care, Employment insurance etc. Handed over to the private sector so instead of paying that money to the government we pay EVEN MORE THEN THE 40% to private businesses who offer less then our government does. It is that simple.

Over 40% of our income is now going to taxes. More of our income than we spend on housing, food etc combined. Some, as on gasoline, we are paying tax on the tax that is on it before we buy it. Anything you buy now is with an after tax (43%) dollar which means it's worth less in buying power than ever. It also means more of our earnings..40% + is controlled by your government..I find that deplorable and they waste billions!

Sorry, the link let you hear all that from the video it linked to.

Your original post was kind of incoherent, so it was open to interpretation.

That's why there was a link included.

That wasn't interpretation, it was more like an enema.

All you were complaining about was you paid too much tax. Well I pay too much tax too. So?
And yes, large organizations, including government, waste money and are inefficient. General Motors used to be compared to the Kremlin, for its massive bureaucracy. You know any way to run this country with a few score people?

btw, the one thing the interviewee mentioned was that 'until recently' public servants used to get 20 days of sick leave a year and could cash them in. I'm going to assume by 'recently' he means, 'until a few decades ago'.

You could have added 1 more emoticon before reaching your limit.

"History I believe furnishes no example of a priest-ridden people maintaining a free and civil government. This marks the lowest grade of ignorance, of which their political as well as their religious leaders will always avail themselves for their own purpose."

Thomas Jefferson

What? No. The economy is taxed overall at about 30%, lower than it was in the past.

Depends who you are. If youre a pampered privileged Corporation I think tax freedom day is in February, but normal people its in June. That may average out to about 30% but for most people its a lot more than that.
