Highlights.. Canada was 8th last year, now is 4th. Lowest number since before 2007.
U.S ranked 1 spot above China. Iraq & Afghanistan are in the bottom 5.. so much for making it safer.

The world has become more peaceful for the first time since 2009 according to the annual Global Peace Index (GPI) released today. Austerity-driven defence cuts creating gains in several indicators of militarisation and improvements in the Political Terror Scale have lead to changes in the annual rankings.

Hmmmmm...let's see...last year Canada bombed Libya and was still killing the locals in Afghanistan, but still got a "peacefulness" ranking of #8 ??? What about the Vancouver riots? :)

It hardly seems fair that Canada (or the USA) can raise hell with military actions in other nations just to get a better Peace Index back home. That's cheating. :)

Canada falls beneath the radar always. We were in Afghanistan for a decade and the taliban pretty much ignored us when they made threats. It was all about the U.S & Britain.
Same with Al Qaedia.

I have a couple of comments...A) Iceland is all but officially bankrupt
B) We seem to continue to accept immigrants from Somalia...? Why?

Because people are suffering and need our help.
Why wouldn't we accept refugees from Somalia?

All your missing now is a few tears and a phone number and i'd send you some money...
