Makes sense.

Well, at least you're not trying to hide your contempt.

If it was true, however, he'd be afraid to in case anonymous callers he's smoked crack with called in to call him a liar.

More conjecture.

Yes you could call it "conjecture" ... and you could also call it deductive reasoning.

Deductive reasoning based on personal speculation...no, conjecture about sums it up.

My point was there's no gain for them in faking it, so the video likely is real.

So an assessment by you into the motive and mindset of Somali drug dealers has led you to the speculative conclusion that in your opinion, the video is likely real, and with this conjecture we may as well destroy the career and character of the mayor.  If it turns out to be true, all good, and if it turns out to be bunk, well...too bad for him, we can add this smear to the others and build the case even further that he is incompetant.

I think I will reserve my judgement until I have more conclusive information.

It might be wise too for Harper not to appoint people to represent provinces that they haven't lived in for decades.

The audit on Pam Wallin is focused on  her travel expenses, she does not even have a residence in Ottawa.

I don't blame  Wright for quitting, who needs all that stress but in the end as the Tories kept saying  its the Minster in charge that has to answer and in this case is the PM. I sure on Tuesday,  QP will be very  nasty , to say the least.

I would venture a guess that Wright "offered up" his resignation under considerable persuation by Harper to mitigate the damage and soften the blow that is surely coming next week.  I don't think it's going to help, there's blood in the water and the feeding frenzy has begun.  There will surely be more fallout to come.  If anything good comes out of this, maybe it will generate some motivation to clean up the garbage in the Senate.

The Star as far as I am concerned by running this story without proof once again shows it lacks any ethics. It smeers

by inneuendo and I say to the Star and all of you engaged in your frenzy, put up or shut the phack up.  Tsk. There is

that word again.

I don't know if this video exists or if it doesn't, i don't who or what is on it if it does.  I'm not sure if it shows Ford smoking crack with Somali drug dealers, but it had better not or he's done.  I think the truth is going to come out, and it is going to be very interesting when it does.  I believe the credibility and reputation of the Toronto Star is every bit as much on the line as Ford's carreer.  Bringing forth an unsubstantiated allegation like this is a very risky thing to do, and the repercussions will be just as significant for the Star if the allegations turn out to be false as they will be for Ford if they turn out to be true.
