Rob Anders vs Pat Martin
01 October 2012 - 01:01 PM
Ok, we know these guys. They are unabashedly outspoken and often shot themselves in the foot when its not caught in their mouths.
Challenger:
Rob Anders is known for Denigrating Vets, calling card carrying Conservatives Liberals and sleeping while on the Job during veteran affairs committee meetings. Obviously looking for a TTC promotion or Senate Seat. Of recent he claimed Mulcair caused Jack Laytons Death.
Anders has a history of saying really stupid things and is a close confidant of the PM.
Champion:
Pat Martin, has assumed the title since Guergis early exit previous to last election.
Of Late Pat Martin bold accusations have come back to bite him with a big lawsuit, regarding Racknines role in the Robocall scandal. Pat Martin has been successfully vocal regarding Asbestos, but just as unsuccessfully ruffling status quo. Always good for a soundbite, and fearless, it seems this is his ALI moment. Can he rope a dope a final win, or will a young gun with a long future of foot and mouth disease unseat him.
Controversial Champion vs Demoted Insider.
Get your votes in..
And I would add in A Liberal, but I don't think there has been anyone loud and vocal enough to compete. I could only think of Hedy Fry and she really hasn't made news since the cross burnings..
THIS POLL IS FOR FUN!!!!
Do not take this seriously

Liberal Leadership Candidate Coyne says Liberals Don't stand for a

Deborah Coyne is campaigning on the Liberals not Standing for anything
http://www.hilltimes...der-coyne/31944
Warren Kinsella appears to be taking a hissy fit over it.
Basically telling her to take a leap...

I guess people forget that Seinfeld was a very successful show about nothing.
So either you are about nothing or about something.
If Coyne is right about the LPC , then I think Jerry Seinfeld would be an excellent leader.

Ontario NDP leading Polls
17 September 2012 - 02:03 PM
NDP 36% and the PCs 35%. Liberals are in third place at 22%.
Thats a statistical tie with the PCs even though its a one point lead.
http://www.torontosu...l#disqus_thread
Ironically the NDP in first in voter % would receive a 3rd place in terms of seats
according to forum research, being pipped by the Liberals.
IT would result in a PC minority government.
Interesting to say the least.

Carbon Tax Farce
13 September 2012 - 06:12 PM
It appears that while Stockwell Day preaches to save Carbon Tax Christie in BC, the rest of the Federal Conservatives are busy sending memos fabricating a Carbon Tax boogeyman. And why not it worked well the first time with Dion.
Only thing is, Dion, much like the LibraCons in BC would have implemented such a tax.
Considering the Federal NDP campaigned against the regressive tax, its ironic that the Conservatives have chosen this field in which to drop there first allotments of horse manure to kick off the fall session.

So, will Conservative Orwellian tactics prevail or common sense.

The Conservative party sent out an “internal memo” over the weekend to warn Conservative MPs that Thomas Mulcair wants to introduce a carbon tax.
“As we prepare to come back to Ottawa for the fall session of Parliament, it is also important to ensure Canadian middle class families understand the threat posed by Thomas Mulcair’s risky and dangerous economic plan,” said the memo, from Conservative national campaign manager Jenni Byrne. “Canadian families know that a tax on carbon is a tax on everything and therefore a tax on everyone.”
So, will Conservative Orwellian tactics prevail or common sense.
