Almanac: Tim Hudak

Tim Hudak is leader of the Official Opposition and leader of the Progressive Conservative Party. He has represented the new riding of Niagara West—Glanbrook since 2007. Previously, he represented the riding of Niagara South.

Hudak won his party’s leadership race in June 2009. He replaces former leader John Tory, who resigned after failing both to win a seat in the provincial legislature, and failing to lead the Tories to electoral victory in 2007.

Hudak became a Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) at the young age of 27.
