Andrew Tzembelicos
Personal Information
Andrew Tzembelicos serves as the Managing Editor for Maple Leaf Web and Policy.ca. He earned a B.A. (Honours) in Political Science (with a focus on International Relations) from Queen’s University at Kingston and a M.A. in Journalism from Carleton University. His Master’s Research Project, TV or Not TV: Television and Its Role in the Canadian Election, assessed the nature of TV coverage vis-à-vis the electoral process. Andrew has extensive experience in communications. He has worked in political communications on Parliament Hill, as well as with Department of University Communications at Queen’s University and the Institute of Intergovernmental Relations (also affiliated with Queen’s). He completed internships with the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada, and the television program Pamela Wallin Live. Andrew has written for publications including the Queen’s Gazette, the Queen’s Journal, Centretown News, and University Affairs. He also contributed the ‘Chronology’ chapter to two consecutive editions of an annual volume of Canadian politics entitled Canada: The State of the Federation.
