Biography

Marco Navarro-Genie is Lecturer of Political Science and History at St. Mary's University College in Calgary, Alberta. He has lived in Alberta for nearly two decades. Marco has taught political science at the University of Calgary and Mount Royal College in Calgary, and at Concordia University in Montreal. He has been teaching at St. Mary's since 1999. His research interests include Modern political philosophy, comparative politics of developing states, and federal and provincial politics in Canada.

Marco is an Izaak Walton Killam Scholar (2004-2006) and Fellow at the Institute for Latin American Studies at the University of Calgary. He is author of _Augusto "Cesar" Sandino_ (Syracuse UP 2002). He regularly comments on local radio on Alberta politics for Radio-Canada's Le Cafe Show, CBC news, and RDI (Radio-Canada's French-speaking national news network).
