  1. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. No wonder Obama got nothing done diplomatically except for paying Iran and starting a new war in Libya. What a refreshing change the last 4 years have been. No new wars. 4 new peace deals and Arab countries normalizing relations with Israel.

  3. It does take a lot of effort, but Trump quickly achieved that which Biden had never achieved in 47 years of lying. Trump is the incumbent, not Biden. Biden's lies failed him...Trump's lies delivered a presidency.

  6. This is not apparent....focusing on Trump's personal and vindictive nature more than his presidential office in the context of previous American presidents is clearly a short term, gotcha game. The man has already served nearly one term in office despite many efforts to take him down, with major impact even now (SC justice appointment...his third). So called unbiased sources should be able to make such distinctions as well, but many don't for fear of a backlash from the woke folk, as hating Trump is their social currency and reinforcement.

  8. These are not debates. A proper political debate is formated with a set time allotment where each side is given, say 10 minutes, to state their plan for government should they be elected, without interuption. They are then given a set time for rebuttal, again, uninterupted. The attack, the gotcha moments, may be entertaining for some, but does nothing to inform the viewer about policy. It is no different than the morons who watch auto racing to see the accidents or hockey to watch the fights. Government is run by a team, not an individual. Those individuals who try to govern without

  10. Just reading the posts from the lefties on this board. Wow, 4 years of eating the MSM pablum has really affected the left. I actually feel sorry for you, I hope you're not actually this afflicted with bitterness and fear, but there's a simple cure either way. Shut off all forms of media that you consume for 3 weeks. I'm serious. I know it sounds impossible for some of you, but re-centering yourself is an important step. The problem is, you're probably addicted to your phones and wouldn't be able to turn them off if your lives depended on it. Drooling like Pavlov's dog every time we

  12. Trump was not on his game...for certain. Which was too bad as this was his chance to be the reasonable one to a bunch of new people. Nobody was reasonable last night...moderator included. That it has come to this...me supporting Trump...it shows how far they've gone left on the Democrat side. I can not and will not endorse Communism in America...even if it is disguised as an old fool with Mao's Red Guard behind him pulling the strings. It doesn't sell well to this cowboy. Unlike the kids all riled-up on the streets, I can recall WHY my neighbors are Hungarian and Czech.

  13. The biggest failure of the night was the moderator, IMO. He should have anticipated this. You don't open the debate the way he did, with these guys. You lay out the law right at the beginning, and then you enforce it.

  14. No, not at all. Calling the 2020 protests "mostly peaceful" isn't slanting. It's a lie. Almost 20 people were killed. Most protests were peaceful til 10 pm, but then most of them were violent riots. Where the riots weren't violent is where there was a sufficient police presence to deter it - IE in Republican controlled cities. There was also a lot of violence related to BLM outside of the protest areas. Protests were actually "widespread with an atrocious level of violence, destruction and theft". The policy of letting rioters out of jail to contribute to the rioting the next night w

  15. The tragedy of the commons, when people cut down the trees in the shire to heat their homes decimating the forest... applies now to a party that wants to burn down the public faith in liberal ideas, in democracy and so on so they can add points to their own voting total. Politics needs to returned to its proper place as a serious pursuit, or it will evaporate and be replaced by dogmatism. And the next generation could easily just decide to outlaw conservatism so their strategy is short sighted.

  16. GOP integrity. (I know, I use the quote by Douglas Adams, bless him, far too much, but it's perfect) "Ah, this is obviously some strange usage of the word 'integrity' that I wasn't previously aware of." Honestly, the idea that the GOP has any integrity left is risible. (Maybe Mitt Romney. At least he admits the truth about Trump, even if he does couch it in genteel language) As for the SC, yes, we know what they are supposed to do. The point I was making was that it seems unlikely, for the foreseeable future anyway, that such is what they are going to do. The glee with whi

  25. U.S. presidents get credit or blame for what happens on their watch....whether it be Bush...Obama...or Trump. Trump increased U.S. manufacturing jobs that stubbornly evaded Obama. African American unemployment rates reach all time lows. So ? If they weren't in such weak positions to begin with, they wouldn't be so vulnerable to Trump's policies. Canada is one of the worst offenders (NATO), not even attempting to meet defence spending goals promised before Trump ever became president. Trump did exactly what he said he would do, challenging the globalists and

What kind of platform are they going to need to win, remember Canadians don't give a rats ass about politics, they want cold hard cash baby, its 2020, and they might have to outspend Justin and his band of lairs.

  32. Many people on the left seem to focus way too much on personality and not actions. No doubt about it, Trump's personality does rub a lot of people the wrong way while others see his style as refreshing. Trump Derangement Syndrome is a real thing with left wingers but I would guess that most Trump haters know little about his actions in the White House or his past accomplishments. Before entering politics , I don't recall ever hearing about him being called a racist , that only happened when he ran as a Republican and won. Anyone that only watches CNN ,MSNBC or the like will likely have a very

Words and phrases are being expunged due to their purported racism/sexism. Weekly there are marches, protests and sit-ins all across our country in direct contravention of pandemic guidelines but ignored by our federal government leaving provincial premiers to clean up the mess. The 'center' has all but disappeared as sides are taken and the divide gets wider. We headed down this slippery slope when the current liberal government took powe

  36. I believe that contempt for Trump is definitely related, if only as the suppression of more balanced or supportive views because of backlash fears. Trading in Trump hatred is social currency, which is ironically identical to the criticisms leveled at Trump "supporters". All presidents have personal (and professional) flaws. Donald Trump is just another American president.

  37. So I was working on some back exercises and flicking through the news channels and on came FOX, which was broadcasting Biden's speech live. I watched it. It was a good speech, what I saw of it. It was all about his plans, and what he would do for the country, and bring jobs back and put an infrastructure plan in place, and unite people. It was earnest, hopeful and optimistic. Then Trump started speaking so of course FOX cut away. The difference couldn't have been more pronounced. All Trump talked about was himself and how mean people have been to him, and how great a job he's done and then how

  41. I agreed with the first part up to your statement about "we pay too much attention to the west." I agree we need to stop wasting our petroleum and coal resouces by selling them off when future generations will rely on them for survival. Western Canada is the Saudi Arabia of uranium. Eastern Canada has the infrastructure to convert that uranium into an incredible amount of energy and it will last long enough to act as a bridge until we can use thorium and fusion. The west and the east need each other. That being said, we could all do with a little less whining from all of us...but that wou

  42. The real question is why does Canada have about 2.5 hospital beds per hundred thousand people when Australia has 3.84, France has 6, Germany has 8, and South Korea and Japan have 12-13. And of these, only Germany spends more than we do on health care. In fact, we spend almost exactly the same per person as Australia. France spends about a hundred bucks a year less.

  44. Most of you remember chants in the streets of Middle East countries over the years "Death To America! ". I used to wonder how anyone could sink down to that level and that mindset couldn't make it's way to North American society. Clearly I was wrong. Growing support among young people for Socialism/Communism in the United States of America? Using violence as a means to an end? Brownshirts openly and freely causing chaos in the streets in 2020 and with the mainstream media turning a blind eye. How did it come to this with the Democratic Party?

  46. Argus is normally against freeloaders. But apparently American taxpayers subsidizing European taxpayers for their own defence is just fine with him. This is another example of how Trump Derangement Syndrome rots people’s brains, and leads them to take stances opposite to what they would normally take. The EU paying more, strengthens NATO. What Argus means by traditional role of leader, he really means traditional financier, at the expense of the American taxpayer. That shit should’ve changed long ago.
