I fear nothing except that my people are being shamed into submission for their views. We've let the socialists have their fun but we must draw the line and say 'this far and no further!'.

Common senses Canadian who doesn't buy into everything the MSMedia tells me about my country and how I should live my life.

How is it that you live your life? As a strong Christian?

dobb's I know you well enough to know this is a trap but I'll bite.

Yes, dobbie I try my best to live a Christian life.

Am I perfect? OF course not, it's impossible but I do my best to keep in line with what is a right way to live.

Am I a Bible thumper? Far from it. I got to the pub, drink pints, throw arrows and gamble on occasion.

However I am firm in my beliefs that Jesus was a real man on Earth at some point and died on the cross, set up by the Jews and crucified by the Romans.

You know, standard stuff here.

How much do you want your personal beliefs to be part of the state?

1) Yes, I think much of what they teach is valid for everyday life and everyone can accept it indirectly as is already done and could be expanded upon. Is everything the Church teaches practical for everyday life? Depends on the person but maybe not.

2) Well, I've said this before but sure I'd like all my personal beliefs to be part of state policy but this isn't practical. I believe it takes a combination of ideas from right and left to make society work. My rhetoric is exciting but can we base a society on it? No, it takes both sides to make it work.

I think the question is whether you want Christian beliefs to be the law.

But you have taken to labelling those that are not Christians as being the enemy.

1) Yeah, I gathered that and feel I've answered it. I feel they already are to some extent. Do they coincide with the norm? Yes. Would I like to see expansion? Perhaps. Do I want an extreme Christian representation in everyday life? No. I ma able to live and let live but I don't need it thrown in my face daily by the MSM.

2) My first reaction is to say 'Aren't they?' but I won't. Sometimes it does feel that way though. One doesn't need to embrace Christianity but at least agree with the principles in order to have an easier time in Canada.

That is pretty cagey talk.

Or what?

1) Just trying to answer in an acceptable way without being overly partisan which just gets everyones back up, which doesn't add to a discussion.

2) Or nothing, that's the corner we've backed ourselves into with political correctness. It's sad, we're witnessing the death of our nation and everyone is worried about party politics.

This is why people often distrust Tories. They don't say what they mean and then stick their partisanship in people's faces like bullies and tell us to like it or lump it.

Well, we know that some Tories are biting their tongues about what they really feel and want to do.

oppressors?

hahahahahahaha!!!

King Arthur: I am your king.

Woman: Well I didn't vote for you.

King Arthur: You don't vote for kings.

Woman: Well how'd you become king then?

[Angelic music plays... ]

King Arthur: The Lady of the Lake, her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite held aloft Excalibur from the bosom of the water, signifying by divine providence that I, Arthur, was to carry Excalibur. THAT is why I am your king.

Dennis: [interrupting] Listen, strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.

Dennis: Oh, but you can't expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you.

Dennis: Oh but if I went 'round sayin' I was Emperor, just because some moistened bint lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away.

Dennis: Come and see the violence inherent in the system. Help! Help! I'm being oppressed!

King Arthur: Bloody peasant!!

Dennis: Oh, what a giveaway! Did you hear that? Did you hear that, eh? That's what I'm on about! Did you see him oppressing me? You saw him, Didn't you?

Mr Canada,

No one embodies the death of our country more than you.

Our country was built on hard work, immigration and compromise. You're all about complaining about people who aren't like you.

Please change your name to something more apt.

Well, that was an interesting thread. I gotta say, reading Mr. C's posts is like watching someone with a bad limp trying to walk down the street... you don't really want to look, yet there is something so curiously awkward about their every move that you can't help yourself. Let's revise, shall we?

We start off with the premise:

Secular/Totalitarian/Communist regimes have murdered a total off 100 million Christians. Have we ever heard about this in any text books? Of coarse not. The powers that be cannot be seen to be teaching the masses about anything that will bring sympathy to Christian based society.

Of 'coarse' we've heard of communist genocides. Well, those of us that went to school did anyway.

In any case, the inference is made:

Right and the communist states are secularist exactly what the left wing is doing in Canada. Secularism is the new Communism.

There you have it ladies and gentlemen, Canada is heading the same way as communist countries. We now spice up the assertions with some really over the top melodramatics:

Little adorable Christian kids who believe that God loves them, innocent, are crushed under foot by the Godless secu-socialists who tell them what they know are all lies.

Good Lord! And

My apologies, one of my oppressors is an atheist. I thought it was you but I have been wrong before, once.

Someone is oppressing you? On MLW?

And at the end of all this 'oppressing' and 'crushing little innocent Christian children' the grievances ends up as:

2) Or nothing, that's the corner we've backed ourselves into with political correctness. It's sad, we're witnessing the death of our nation and everyone is worried about party politics.

OMG, you started off the thread implying that Canada is one step away from a genocide against Christians...

This is pathetic note is how you end things? It's all about the poor poor oppressed wittle Tories? We must support Steven Harper or there'll be a mass genocide of Christian Canadians?

So you are a Christian? What type of Christian are you? What church do you belong to? Did you do today? What does your church believe in? How is your church superior?

Yes, which of the 33,000 branches of Christianity are we talking about here, since these christian nationalists would have to fight it out among themselves for the right to rule if they were able to depose secularism. Right now, the Catholics, Pentacostals, Baptists, Evangelical Lutherans, and especially the growing Mormon segment of the Religious Right, all represent groups claiming to be "God's true church," and most of them have incompatible standards for salvation and defining who is a true Christian!

It's not like we haven't been through this before. Anyone who wants to take the time to study the history of the fracturing of Catholic dominance in Europe can trace the beginnings of the movement to separate church and state to the horrendous bloodletting that went on during the 30 years war -- when the notion of stopping heresy was taken seriously and heretics had to be fought at all costs. It was because the fighting ended in stalemate that the philosophy of secularism started to take hold, and the clerics had to be content to leave judgement to the hereafter.

Right now, these idiot christian nationalists are using the typical, phony strategy of blame-shifting, by accusing secularists of attacking their religion. This only makes sense to the christian nationalists since they consider any and every roadblock in the way of their desire to control all aspects of modern society, to be attacks on their religion. They are obviously taking notes from the Muslim fundamentalists who never did develop an appreciation for the merits of separating religion from government and law.......and we all can see how well it's worked out for them!

I could see this whole game when I read his first post quoting propaganda from the late christian fascist - D.James Kennedy. On U.S. conservative forums, the fundamentalists vastly outnumber any libertarians or other secularists, so at least once a week there would be threads posted quoting articles and videos, mainly from Kennedy, all claiming that secular atheists and humanists were responsible for the great massacres of the 20th Century (notice that you'll never hear them ask who is responsible for murder early on in the new 21st Century), and the falsehood that Hitler was an atheist, keeps getting repeated without any evidence, and falsely linking humanism with communism. It doesn't matter what contrary evidence you show them, the same stupid charges keep getting repeated with the same stupid links from sites like Worldnetdaily! For that reason, they have obviously taken a page from Hitler himself, since the idea that people will believe a lie if it's repeated continually was first offered up by his chief propagandist - Goebbels.

Secular socialist people for the most part hate Christianity and want to see churches burnt down just like they're doing in Norway. This is a global issue not merely Canadian. Christianity is under attack by these people. Most of it by city people. We mustn't let these socialist urbanites cheapen Christianity any further.

Stand tall and hold your ground - Those that allow the spirit of the Christ to reside in them are feared - it's like the Boss coming home - the one they never expected to ever return...Yet the BOSS lives in many - kind of healthy type of possession ---------------------they may hate you but they need you - and the reminder that a Christian gives to all is - get out of the way - the boys are back in town! - so they do attack -but they feel like common house flys - just irritating...I would not worry about it my friend...if there are a million Christs risen from the grave on this planet - They will never ever get them all....it's actually law that is under attack - people hate the rules...the most ancient rules in the universe...to bad....we are not moving - this is our planet.

What a coward - I can see Jesus screaming like chicken little as we speak - Christianity is under attack oh no! Christainity has always been under attack - they attacked the founder and they will attack the last standing member...that's the nature of the game. It's your job! What do you expect form the pagans - them to kiss your feet - dogs attack - Christians control dogs - they are not controled by the dogs---they are confident.
