Teachers brainwashing our children?

Recommended Posts

I remember even in primary school when the teacher would talk about certain social things and I would be in vocal disagreement with them.

Teachers are the greatest source of socialist brainwashing that exists in our children's lives. I listen in on every teacher my children have and if I don't like what I hear I pull my child from that class and I've done it. I take an active role in my children most people do not however. I'd bet most parents don't even know the names of their children's teachers or what they are being taught. You might be shocked and appalled if you did.

Most teachers have a clear progressive socialist agenda that they try to push on our children everyday. Everyday they try to brainwash our children. These people disgust me and it doesn't surprise me that more and more people are home schooling their children.

They even have home schooling groups now where different parents are teaching different subjects now and the children get together for recess and field trips. It's pretty amazing how far home schooling has come.

I'd like to see charter schools here in Ontario. Give parents some choice as to where they send their children. I don't think the province is the only group who can run a school.

Since you have children in school perhaps you could be more specfic rather than using generalities. Thanks, I would be interested to see what is being taught in Canadian schools.

The lack of attacks against me tells me I have it exactly right. People who have children I emplore you to go to your childs school and see what they're being taught. It's appalling. You'll have your eyes opened.

Perhaps the lack of attacks means you have it exactly boring.

I know my kids teachers, good friends with principles and counsellors. Mostly what you say is full of shit - generally. But if you have something specific you want to bring up please do. Otherwise: yawn....

Would you prefer if a right wing, big money, assault the poor, racist, homophobic curriculum were taught?

There is nothing for me to discuss with you; you obviously chose to ignore my request for specifics. I will try again, what are they teaching that is so appaling?

Is there libertarian reading, math, science, history, art, and music?

It would be great if they stuck to those but they don't. They push their socialist agenda at any opportunity. Telling children that homosexuals are born that way, that trans gender people are normal...telling children that we as Canadians should change to need of immigrants and that immigrants shouldn't have to change to the ways of Canadians...That's a small sampling that I don't allow.

Okay, those are a start. Now tell me what specific class are teachers telling children these things and at what grade level?

My wife is a Grade 3 teacher, and as far as I know she offers no classroom comparisons at all of Marx vs Rockefeller. The cocial studies curriculum in her grade mostly covers investigating the cultures of Peru, Tunisia and India.

Everybody in the class is required to wear a red beret and never reveal the name of their cell leader. The main subjects she teaches to her class are math, science, language arts and she teaches French to the whole grade. Her grade partners etach music and phys ed to the whole grade in turn. This is likely when the indoctrination takes place. She follows a specific provincial curriculum, and provides much of her own lessons and resources.

Sonme of these statements may not be true. I challenge the OP to identify them without Googling.

What specifically was the teacher saying that you didn't like and what grade is your child in? What did you do after you pulled the child from the class? Did you make arrangements for the child to be in a different class, change schools, home-schooling? I'm really interested in this story. Edited by cybercoma

It wasn't quite so dramatic as I made it sound. I didn't make a scene or anything. I met with the principal and voiced my concerns about the teacher not being in line with the traditional Catholic values I instill at home and that I want my child in a different class.

The principal obliged. That's it. I didn't yank my child from their desk and drag them out kicking and screaming or anything like that. I didn't do anything other than meet with the school principal.

I would change schools if I had to though. The schools have them for 8 hours a day give or take 5 days a week. That's a lot of brainwashing time.

That seems pretty reasonable, but what was the particular incident(s) that lead you to meet with the principal? I'm curious not only about what Catholic values the teacher was contradicting, but how (s)he was contradicting them. You're in Ontario (Halton Hills?); is your child in a Catholic school or is (s)he in a public school?

Halton Catholic District School Board. If it was a public school they would tell me to fly a kite basically, I'm guessing.

So you want public schools to indoctrinate children in your political views.

I don't care what public schools do. As far as I know they have trans gendered teachers and everything. I feel sorry for anyone educated in the public system. Parents must spend hours each night deprogramming their children if they care at all.

Most people who send their kids to public school treat it like a daycare centre and take little interest in their childrens lives. Let them come home from school and let them play video games and watch TV all night.

Then they wonder how kids end up on OCAP.

I think it would be useful to teach children about the major political parties, including fringe parties whose ideas have not been tried. We can use such a lesson to show how the parties generally have improved through compromise and dialogue, and how such flexibility has worked to Canada's favour.

Some examples may be:

R.B. Bennett and his conversion to social democrat (The New Deal)

Trudeau's Wage and Price controls

Harper's budget through the latest downturn

It would be good for children to realize that the big 3 parties are far more pragmatic than even their parents realize. Then the lesson can contrast those examples with new fringe parties that would restructure everything from the ground up, without any experience or model of success.

I would prefer libertarian ideals be taught.

Heyyyy... waitaminnit. Libertarians can be queers. And whores and drug addicts. In fact, aren't queers, whores and drug addicts more or less a prime example of free will and liberty of thought and action?

I don't think you know a damned thing about most people.

If you don't tell what the problem you had how are we going to debate your problem? I think its safe to say since your kids go to a Catholic school its more of a religion view disagreement? Lets see, do your kids take sex education and you don't want to them know any thing right now?
