You guys were caught down right stealing, the party of entitlements, This is nothing compared to what the libs did to canadians. How many actually went to the wrong place? , how many on those lists was not going to vote anyways? This just bob rae being bob rae, trying to get in the back way.

Potentially usurping democracy and rigging an election to potentially foist an agenda on Canadians through a potentially false majority IS a little worse than a money scandal...

It's likely true that there was confusion over the polling location as often happens, E.C. changes the poll or the voter cards get printed incorrectly, it happens. So it's likely true that the campaign office tried to rectify that with more incorrect information, but not to deliberately confuse voters. But, that will be spun of course as something nefarious, those who've worked on a campaign will know how such things happen.

All we have so far unverified statements of what they think they remember, so again there's no hard evidence about anything... I await facts.

Mike Duffy is partisan of course but his theory isn't off the wall IMO, I think there is more to this than meets the eye. The problem now is that the media and the opposition have a done a very good job at framing the narrative so no matter how innocent the party is, or proven to be, it will not be believed.

Possible Third Parties G & M

So it was...

The National Citizens Coalition???

The Fraser Institute??

The Manning Institute???

The Canadian Taxpayers Federation???

Making this out to be a top-down clandestine democracy-overthrowing operation is being a little disingenuous as well, don't you think?

Well,I'm fairly certain it was'nt some Dockers wearing punk from Guelph behind potential voter surpression in possibly 27 ridings...

Again,if this is true,it had to be a well coordinated effort (by the way,I'm not impugning the PM or any sitting Conservative member) reaching into some higher level within the Conservative party...

If you don't think so,I suppose there's always The Magic Bullett Theory for folks like you...

Harper is to smart for BS like this, it is someone that did it without the knowledge of the party or the left did it and when you look at rae's backround ,this has his prints all over it, Rae is all about bringing down goverments without a election. His history is full of it,that what he does.

Was he to smart to be caught on tape trying throw out a bribe during the Cadman Affair???

Regarding partisan drive by's, seems a little like the pot calling the ketle black with the unsubstantiated rhetoric being thrown around.

Could you point my ideological partisanship for me please???

And please,be specific...

I don't believe I said that in my post. What I said is lets wait for some facts to surface. This will be investigated I assure you. Believe it or not, Bob Rae is hungry for Conservative blood even more than yourself.

You think I'm a Liberal....

:lol::lol::lol:

Strike One on trying to nail down my ideological partisanship...

Do you think the most widespread case of election fraud in our country's history is amusing? That there shouldn't be consequences?

Why not hold an election? If you believe the Tories would still win anyway why not agree to call for re elections? or are you scurred

Why does the left all have to be drama queens.

First Racknine, now Campaign Research has served defamation papers on Pat Martin for public comments he made on the show QP yesterday.

Martin has already said he won't apologize to Racknine. I doubt he'll change his position with Campaign Research.

Again, I made no reference as to what leaning I assumed you to be. I merely said that the opposition will ensure this doesn't go away without a full review. Geez!

Jack doesn't care about the fact, or any full review. There's mud to be slung.

Also, if you're really interested in voting how dumb do you have to be to be swayed by a robotic phonecall. I get tons of them during election campaigns.

If you were actually keeping up with the story or the thread, you would know that there were live calls made as well.

Potentially usurping democracy and rigging an election to potentially foist an agenda on Canadians through a potentially false majority IS a little worse than a money scandal...

They are different but equally deplorable. The major difference is adscam is close to two decades old and is a terrible angle to take; the story broke close to 10 years ago. Sheesh PIK I see your Ad Scam and raise you a conservative Rail Road scandal of 1862. We may as well discuss these "hot" topics while they're at the height of their relevance.

Be that as it may, what is entirely likely to happen is a series of bi-elections. There would not be a general election called, nor should there be. Many of the ridings had very clear winners and as upsetting as the whole affair may be, there's no need to plunge the entire country into another general election so soon after the last. The GG would not do this, nor should he.

For a bi-election to be held they would need to prove that there was potentially sufficient interference to alter the election results. In some ridings it's highly likely that bi-elections will be called, especially if there was a margin as small as 18 votes. However, I'd be sincerely surprised if all of the 38 ridings currently claiming possible electoral interference will see bi-elections.

Regardless this is not good for the conservatives, they have a majority but by no means is it a landslide, they can't afford to lose a ton of seats. The upshot for the CPC in this instance is that 2015, if they stick to the 4 year election "rule" that is, is still a long ways away, and Canadian voters have surprisingly short memories.

So you're saying that the CPC is responsible for this or do you just have this canned phrase saved to your clipboard so you can cut and paste it any time someone even remotely criticizes the CPC?

I agree but wanted to point out something... whoever made these calls probably didnt bother to do them, in ridings where the race wasnt gonna be close. They probably targeted ridings where they thought they could make a difference, so you might find a lot of the ridings target were those tight races.

That's odd. I don't recall any voters ever complaining that they were told to go to the wrong polling stations on election day, let alone the volume of people that appear to have been mislead in this instance.
