Protests across the U.S. in places like Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and Phoenix. Thousands of protesters gathered in public squares with their hands up in gestures of surrender, chanting slogans like, “Hands up, don’t shoot.”

I suppose the majority of these protestors were white folks raising their hands up in the air chanting.

I have no idea........Since you seem aware of such things, how many white people rioted and looted local stores?

What would be your suggestion as to why the white cop shot the unarmed black teenager while his hands were in the air? The gun misfired?

I don't know that to be the case..........So you can't provide proof that this was racially motivated?

It's unlikely anybody can provide "proof" that it was racially motivated without getting inside that cops head. But sometimnes you have to look at the big picture. But surely you aren't naive enough not to know that racism is alive and well in the US.

So you don't actually know that his was racially motivated.......

So it seems the governor pulled out the county police (the delightful fellows who looked like they were hunting Al Qaeda) and replaced them with the highway patrol, led by a black officer.

Of course if these people were, as one county cop told a reporter the previous night, "animals," you would think this would have led to more violence and looting. But nothing happened. The protests continued peacefully, showing once again how shows of force can lead to the very thing they were put in place to deter.

Here's a good piece on how they screwed the pooch on this one.

We probably would. But the only reason this particular cop's identity is being withheld, is for safety. He'd probably be dead by now. Possibly his family too.

His identity is being released today. I assume when nothing happens to him or his family, you will admit your "probabilities" are full of crap?

So Brown was a suspect in a violent robbery of a corner store, shortly before the shooting ?

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2014/08/15/ferguson-police-say-michael-brown-fit-description-strong-arm-robbery-suspect/

And the "star witness" in the shooting, Dorian Johnson, was also involved in the robbery?

Are you suggesting that he must have deserved to be shot, despite not being armed?

Are you suggesting he's an innocent victim, or that the 'witness' is in any way reliable?

A "violent" robbery where no one was hurt and which police neglected to mention until today. Also, the initial report from police was the interaction between Brown and the cop was over jaywalking. Also note Johnson's versions of events was echoed by several other witnesses. This is straight up damage control designed to demonize the victim here.

Take a wild assed guess. Reportedly there are 83 officers on the force there, 3 are white. Hmmm.

I wouldn't say the officer shot Brown because he was black, but the fact that the police force is 96% white in a community that is 70% black is a problem.

I agree. If Brown was being questioned as a suspect in a convenience store robbery, why did the police fail to mention it until now?

The store security cameras are a police plant?
