Education Over Expulsion At Dalhousie

You are right. I'm just glad to know that you respond to the latest response in a thread and do not take the OP into consideration.

Sometimes. Not every time. I would say at least every day. Well, not absolutely every day, but most days in the week. I expect I must do that four or five times a week, at least four or five, only some weekends... like last weekend, there really wasn't the time, so that moved the average down a bit. I should say it's definitely a solid four days' of doing that every week... at least. I mean, I reckon I could do it five times a week, but I have to work.

;)

Why would you toss out remarks regarding women's issues with such disregard?

Yeah, you should probably report your Dentist to the College, CC!

This is your response. Perhaps if you read and digest the full ramifications of this post as it relates to women, you may not have responded this way. If you can't bother to read and contemplate the entirety of the post, that is your problem. It is not mine.

If you don't know what I mean, that is the fault of your comprehension skills. Not mine.

I should also make the point here, while I'm at it, that I don't take a back seat to you or anyone else on this site when it comes to Women's issues. As I've said before on here, there are really only women in my life.

I know what you mean. You are misrepresenting what I said. That's either your mistake, or your dishonesty. Two pages ago, I would have cared which.

Perhaps you should clarify what you said.

Okay. It's not late, and I only have half a day tomorrow, then I'm off for a while. Let's see if I can get the hang of this multi quote thing.

cybercoma said this. I didn't see it at the time. I was skimming.

Just belonging to such a misogynistic Facebook group shows that these men are completely incapable of the kind of judgment needed to be in a position of trust, particularly where they will be administering nitrous oxide on patients locked in a room alone with them.

Then Moonlight Graham said this. I read this post.

I agree, except that dentists are rarely alone with patients (they have dental assistants with them almost constantly), I highly doubt many dentists lock doors, and the dentists that I've been to always work in rooms with either no doors to the rooms whatsoever or with doors always open.

That made me take a look at cybercoma's post, which was quoted by MG, and as I said, the joke is a no brainer. Cybercoma definitely does give the impression that he is used to a Dentist who operates alone with his patient, behind a locked door. That's not behaviour one normally associates with a Dentist, as MG pointed out. So I made the comment.

It has nothing to do with any potential Dentists. And, while I'm at it, I should make it clear that I don't actually believe that cybercoma's Dentist administers N2O to him behind a locked door, with no-one else present.

I didn't have to actually believe it to make the comment.

I'm not interested in the subject matter. I read some threads because I'm interested in the arguments.

It had nothing to do with the OP subject.

I just can't let this go. If you are not interested in the subject matter, why should I spend the time reading your posts when you clearly are not interested and why should I spend the time composing a response to your response. Why am I wasting my time?

You need to take responsibility for your comments. This whole post has to do with degrading women. Suck it up.

I know you can't. It's strange. But then, why am I replying to you, right?

You have no obligation to read anything I post, just as I have no obligation to post with you in mind.

This place is a distraction. It's fun to participate, and sometimes it's fun to just read the arguments. Maybe someone is having a ball reading the last three pages of you and me going back and forth. Maybe not.

Hang on a minute. Cybercoma intimated he was used to having dental appointments in a locked room with just him and the Dentist present. My opinions of the case in hand (don't actually have one) are not represented by that very innocuous comment.

I haven't read anything about the case beyond this thread, and I've only read half of that.

Your comments indicate you don't read much either.

My position is that dentists have a fiduciary relationship with their patients. Are you arguing against that? They're not in a position of trust, where they're able to administer mind-altering narcotics?
