I hear it's the u.s. that might be needing Canada's help.

Sure...please take good care of Meng.   The extradition trial should be very entertaining.

When it goes to trial we'll see the evidence and our judges will decide on that matter.

Hard to say since there are many complications such as iran.

It's a sideshow now...more important for Canadian interests than for Trump, who is signaling the end-game and compromise with China on trade.

She was actually more useful as a ploy against Trudeau's virtue signaling and "rule of law" circus.

Unfortunately this situation puts Canada in the middle of u.s. and China.  Imo they should just extradite to a neutral country and let it be decided in court.

Canada's choice...should have cut her loose in a prisoner swap.

But then the u.s. would be upset with us.  Not an easy decision for anyone to make.

Not really....easily justified given the circumstances.    Would have been a ballsy move for Trudeau as well, instead of more weakness.

Trump would certainly have done it.

The circumstances are not the issue.  The issue is that the extradition is dependent on whether or not Canadas laws were broken.

From the article I linked earlier:

"Canada is at a crossroads respecting the United States' request that Canada extradite Ms. Meng, for conduct that could not be an offence in Canada," the lawyers argue.

"Over our history, the Canadian government has stood up for Canadian values, including the rule of law, even in circumstances where this has meant a departure from American foreign policy initiatives.

This is all based on u.s. and iran.  Canada had no involvement, so where do we stand on this matter now?

Whether at a national level or international level, the indices are the same.  The reason many people don’t like Trump is because he plays the zero-sum game:  I can’t win unless someone loses.  Someone else’s success means my failure.  It’s lame.  Think bigger than that.  Raise all boats.  Making money and having stuff for oneself is too easy.  Move beyond that.

Trump wants America to win, not everyone else to lose. Trump is a raise all boats guy, but what he isn't, is a raise all boats but America guy, and that is what rubs you the wrong way. America First isn't about punishing the world, it's about America benefiting more from globalism instead of making sacrifices to help the world at it's own expense.

Doesn't matter....the warrant was based on Obama era sanctions that Canada supported.

Hiding behind the extradition treaty did not serve the imprisoned Canadians well.

It would not be the first time that Canada refused to extradite to the USA.

Canada follows UNSC sanctions against Iran, but also has laws against bank fraud.

But the case has been compromised...she walks.

Not to you.  You're still here, 15 years later, talkin' Canada!

Democrat supporters were making a big thing of Trump using AF1 to campaign with. I informed them that Trump apparently is to pay $170,000 an hour for such flights...and says he will...Obama never did pay for his 'personal use' of AF1. It's not like they have a choice, however...Trump wanted to use his 757...can't as it doesn't have the communication gear needed to run the country.

Trump is not even taking a salary for being the President. Trump is donating his presidential salary to some charities. Obama would never do such a thing, and neither would Hillary. They both love fleecing the American people for whatever they can get out of them, and both have no love for America. Trump is the man, and most Americans are starting to see and realize this. Four more years for Trump. What a great gift for America and for all Americans, eh?  Go, Trump, go. :D

Some not so bright Americans just do not know when they have something good like Trump going for them. Why those socialist demonstrators, like the ANTIFA red guard commie bullies, who keep attacking Trump and his people and supporters at his rallies is beyond me.  They seem to be fighting for their freedoms to be taken away from them. Little do these morons know that they are being used as cannon fodder for the elite globalist ilk who will drop them like a hot piece of coal if they ever gained total control of the world.  Most think that China has the answer. After the Bolshevik revolution the people found out later that their commie leaders had other plans for them. Communist slavery and tyranny. Communist political party's should be outlawed  just like Nazi political party's has been outlawed. But for some unknown reason, communism gets a free pass in the free world. Go figure, eh?

The site is American, it's run from America, not Canada.

Mostly....but it is now hosted in Canada best I can tell:

Looks like DigitalOcean (American) provides hosting on a remote server in Toronto.

The forum engine is Invision Power Board (American)...database is probably MySQL (Swedish/American/OpenSource).

I will also note that the owner/admin has provided this forum service without any cost/fees to members...very long time.

It has moved around at times, but has been very consistent and reliable forum platform compared to many others.

------------

Donald Trump is definitely American.

Lol.  Trump spends more time in mar a lago and his other hotels than the White House.  Why?  Secret service follows him, stays in his hotel and eats food from the hotel.  And not just him, but his kids too.  All bills are paid by the american taxpayer, and guess where the profits go?

American troops may pull out of northern Syria entirely as Turkey escalates the buffer zone invasion.   American troops were not deployed to be stuck in the middle of a war between Turkey, Kurds, and Syrians.

Quote

WASHINGTON — The United States appears to be heading toward a full military withdrawal from Syria amid growing chaos , cries of betrayal and signs that Turkey's invasion could fuel a broader war.

Defense Secretary Mark Esper said Sunday that President Donald Trump had directed U.S. troops in northern Syria to begin pulling out "as safely and quickly as possible." He did not say Trump ordered troops to leave Syria, but that seemed like the next step in a combat zone growing more unstable by the hour.

... Critics say the U.S. has betrayed the Kurds by pulling back in the face of Turkey's invasion, but Esper said the administration was left with little choice once President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told Trump a week ago that he was going ahead with a military offensive. Esper said the Kurds have been good partners, "but at the same time, we didn't sign up to fight the Turks on their behalf."

I'm more interested in what the u.s. plans to do with the nukes they have in turkey.

The U.S. plans to continue nuclear warhead sharing with several NATO nations, including Turkey.

The older B61 gravity bombs are being upgraded.

Given that turkeys relations with nato members souring and threats of sanctions from the u.s.,  it might be a good idea to get them out of there.

The current situation with Syria is less than 100 miles from where the nukes are stored.

Turkey is still a full NATO member and the warheads are under U.S. control at Incirlik.

NATO has insisted that the U.S. maintain nuclear sharing and forward deployed weapons "posture", even though Turkey is incapable of using them alone.
