Don't like it ?   Then stop being deadbeats.

They can't, DND is so broken that even throwing money at it doesn't work.

The CF is a zombie, it's already dead, even when they try to pump some fluids into it,  it just leaks out all over the operating room floor.

Canadians are so unmartial, they think that the military is just another bureaucracy, they don't view it as a living thing which they already killed a ways back.

Well Bill Taylor's testimony and the July 25th call would indicate otherwise. So would Mulvaney's admission that there was a Quid Pro Quo.

The call did not have a quid pro quo at all, that's another lie. Mulvaney made a generalization. Taylor said that a question was asked. That's not the same as saying that a declaration was made.

When you consider Trump's threat to execute whistleblowers, it's good that he remained anonymous.

That's another lie. Trump's comment didn't go that far.

Blah Blah, Kavanaugh isn't being impeached.

Speculation except for all the evidence. Yet you have no evidence Biden got Shokin fired to protect his son.

How do you calculate your 99%?

Those are all the false CNN narratives that sucked you in. You literally never learn.

There's a video of Biden describing the exact nature of his quid pro quo. His son was absolutely a part of the board of that company. An investigation definitely would have turned up the exact sleazy nature of his hiring there. Not one single person on this planet thinks he got that job on his ow merits. Even you know it but as usual you won't admit it.

True...even when funding is authorized...DND procurement is so dysfunctional they don't spend it.

Easier to bitch at Trump about protecting the "post WW2 order"....on the American dime.

They don't have the infrastructure to run the procurement nor to support the things the government suddenly wants to buy from time to time on a whim.

They just have to return the money at the end of the fiscal year unspent, because the whole structure to procure and support was jettisoned by the Chretien Liberals back in the 90's

For example when Jason Kenney tried to buy the two French Mistral class LHD which were built for Russia and available at rock bottom prices.

The navy doesn't have the sailors to man them, the navy doesn't have the maintainers to maintain them, the navy doesn't even have the docks to dock them.

They would have just sat rusting in Halifax harbor.

Eventually Egypt bought them, because ships of that scale are simply beyond the means of the RCN to even operate now.

The CF is just a glorified armed constabulary now, it has collapsed below the threshold of a military and it ain't coming back.

The hiring was blatant and up front. Tell me do you hold Trump to the same standard?  Why do you not also criticize how his sons are using their father's Presidential status to make deals? Where have you been? Do you want to tell me the outrage you have for offspring of politicians beings and  ends only at Biden Jr.?  The selectivity is about as credible as your trying o blame what Trump said and did on CNN.

I appreciate that you're stepping up with facts and information, but the difference between these business deals and Hunter Biden's business deals is as stark as it could possibly be.

1) Hunter Biden was gifted a position on the board of a company that we would both admit was investigated for corruption, in a country where his father was extremely busy overseeing the corruption investigations because of his position as VPOTUS. Hunter had no prior experience working in the Ukraine, he didn't speak Ukrainian, he had no experience working in the oil and gas industry, and he had his own large company to run in the USA at the time. His hiring had absolutely nothing to do with his ability to contribute to Burisma in a meaningful way and he made a base salary of $50,000 per month. Hunter and Joe both claimed that Joe didn't know about the job and that they had never talked about the job, and then the photo came out with Joe, Hunter and another Burisma board member which forced the Bidens to admit that they had in fact talked a bit about Burisma. Dems were infuriated by the picture coming out, and were not concerned at all about the fact that the Bidens had actually lied about their communications and knowledge of the Burisma job. How fishy is that on a scale of 1-10? IMO it's a 10.000.

2) The Trumps were doing the same business that they were doing before Trump got hired. They had extensive prior experience in the industries in question, they aren't undertaking new real estate projects that weren't started before Trump became POTUS, there's no obvious language barrier to them doing what they're doing, they didn't take any jobs from more deserving people who live in those countries, and they have only provided actual merchandise/real estate that was of value consistent with the amount of money that they received for it. You could make the case that Ivanka's jewelry gets boosted value and attention due to Trump's new position but they always reaped the benefits of the Trump brand, and it's debatable if his job of POTUS has raised or diminished the value of a jewelry company with his name on it. How fishy is all this on a scale of 1-10? IMO it's as low as it could be. There's only so much that they can be required to do to stunt their personal family business while they're involved in the Whitehouse.

In all honesty Rue, do you see more similarities between Hunter and the Jr. Trumps and their business dealings or do you see more glaring differences?

As a person who believes the old adage that brevity is the sole of wit, I have to commend you on your ability to say just 5 words and yet manage to lump yourself squarely into two distinct groups of followers. Kudos/ugh.

So it was Vladimir Putin who waylaid the Democrats to appoint Neil Gorsuch?

Vladimir Putin delivered 5 to 4 at the SCOTUS for conservatism?

Slava Rossiya!  Urra!

al-Baghdadi killed in a raid apparently. Trump gets a symbolic foreign policy win like Obama with OBL, if true.

Purely symbolic, counterleadership operations being a dubious strategy, whack-a-mole decapitation resulting in further decentralization to no particular gain.

None the less, kudos to the Army Compartmentalized Element for a tasking well executed.

Congresswoman Katie Hill resigns amid allegations of inappropriate relationships with staffers and THOSE raunchy naked pictures

Democratic Congresswoman Katie Hill quit Sunday, days after DailyMail.com revealed she was part of a ‘throuple’ with her husband and a campaign worker and an ethics probe was launched into her alleged affair with another aide.

The New Puritanism is self defeating, as nobody can live up to the absurd self righteousness of the priggish progressives, they least of all apparently.

U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has been forced by pressure to hold a vote on the Trump impeachment inquiry.   This will make House members go on record with a vote.

House to vote on resolution establishing next steps in impeachment inquiry

The House will vote this week on a resolution to formalize the next steps of the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump.

The resolution — which “establishes the procedure for hearings,” according to a statement by Speaker Nancy Pelosi — will mark the first floor vote on impeachment since Democrats formally launched their inquiry a month ago.
