I applaud public shaming racists and idiots.

This will push for standards and create discussions.

I don't see her changing her behaviour but her poor son will probably learn from this experience and distance himself from his mother's ignorance and bigotry.

I am pretty sure that her son will do just fine. Maybe she has just shown her son as to what is really going on in Canada today with our present day immigration policy of maybe preferring to have more non-white doctors than white ones. Just saying.

What types of standards are you wanting to see pushed?  Indeed, this incident will create plenty of new discussions in the near future.

Applauding public shaming of someone who has a preference to see someone of their own choosing is not racist at all. It is their right to do as they please. It only becomes a racist story if the lame duck media wish to try and make it so. The trouble with our liberal media is that they like to pick and choose as to what will be reported as a racist story or what will not become a racist story. It would appear today as though only white people can be racist. All others get a free pass.

If Canada's current immigration rate stays the same, our natural population growth would become negative by 2020.

White folks need to fulfill their obligation and screw. Screw, for God and Country!

So you've never heard of the Caucasus Mountains? Do you have google?

I advised him once that most Caucasians are in fact Muslim today and include wait for it the MOUNTAIN JEWS. Yes there are such people. No not the soft drink, the people. He doesn't get the word he uses is a geographic region. borrowed by a European who found the people in the area when he visited attractive. If you broke the truth to Taxme and explained Caucasians include semites you could trigger an anxiety attack. Leave it alone. Some people can only grasp humanity using black, wh ite and yellow labels.

As for the lady in this story until someone actually meets her and talks with her, they label her. You know what that is like-labeling people because of preconceived stereotypes right Omni?

Lol I love this thread. a Bunch of bigoted liberals and Taxme. Y'all deserve on another.

I speak only for myself. I have had some good and very rarely questoniable doctors. They've come in all varieties. I don't really much care what variety they are as long as their finger nails are clean, they don't have b.o.,  and I can feel some empathy coming from them. I don't ask much.

I have one female gp now and I would never strip in front of her and wait for the other male doctor. She is too beautiful for me to strip in front of. I would need to have lipsuction, a h air transplant and my face stapled before that happens. Then I would sneeze and undo it all anyways.

Japan has managed to maintain a small but non-zero rate of economic growth despite a stagnant and aging population over the last 15 years. It is also one of the world's most technologically advanced, healthiest, most peaceful, and most socially cohesive countries.

Japan has done this by spending borrowed money they don't have.  Japan has by far the highest public debt in the world, quite higher than even Greece, and 2-3 times higher than Canada, France, UK, USA etc. (as a % of GDP).  That economy is completely unsustainable and playing with a house of cards ready to collapse.

Increasing the population means increasing a country's GDP production/output and increasing domestic consumption. That's a basic economic fact, there's no way around. Infrastructure needs are solvable if politicians aren't idiots.  We have 35 million people, that's well short of the 300+ million in the US which has been able to.

I don't want to have much population growth in Canada frankly, I'm fine with the pop we have, I'm not a fan of big cities, but economics don't care about what I feel.

This important point to consider is that CANADIAN IMMIGRATION MUST BE FAIR AND BALANCE (about 100,000) and PROPORTIONAL. As an example this planets Muslim population is only one out of 6 billion. Therefore the total proportion of Muslim immigrants to Canada MUST NOT exceed 17% of total immigrants. Does Canada observe this proportion. If not then Canadian immigration is flawed. Another points immigrants MUST be SELECTED based on merits like education and/or wealth and ADAPTABILITY to their new home and the what they will contribute in their lifetime to Canada (paying taxes, creating jobs, educating people.....). The purpose is for immigrants to better Canada not Canada better them. If this is not so then again Canadian immigration policy is flawed.

Canada stopped discriminating against non-whites and non-Christians in 1967, and implemented an immigration points system that values education/training, language, etc - ie, the skills that make one self sufficient. It works well, and has been copied by other countries.

Discrimination based on religion is not part of it, nor should it be nor will it ever be again.

None of the hundreds of thousand of refugees admitted past couple of decades passed any of those. Our health system is overloaded with all these most requiring medical attentions not to mention our education system. As for our immigration I think that adaptability should be added to it as an important factor. Not any point to bring highly educated individuals who hate our culture of freedom and democracy or those who wish to impose theirs.

Came across this article today speaking to what immigration costs the average American worker. It echoes some of the research done in Canada by the Fraser Institute on the cost to government of bringing in low skilled workers.

For U.S. corporate interests, America’s current immigration policy is a sweet deal; for native-born workers, it couldn’t be more bitter. They lose a staggering $500 billion per year in lowered wages, a “wealth transfer from workers to firms” according to George Borjas of the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, a contributor to “The Economic and Fiscal Consequences of Immigration,” a National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, Medicine study published earlier this year.

Argus' article actually speaks louder to the cost of accommodating exploitive corporations - corporations that were likely also complicit in the plunder of so many of the economies people are now flocking from. Blaming immigrants for the injustices of corporations we spawned is really effed-up.  We not only let our corporations loose on the world we also pressure the places people are fleeing from to accept them with open unregulated borders - we deserve everything we sow.
