Shall we talk , Al-Queda,  ISIS, and other terror groups the USA has clearly supported in the past?  The USA does indeed sponsor terrorism.

It's amazing to me how something so one-sided is pushed to be seen as two-sided.

Palestinians, especially the ones in Gaza are held in an open-aired prison. They have no control over their borders, air and the sea. They have no control over what goes in and out of their tiny piece of land. They are surrounded by a trigger happy military who is backed by a criminal government.

I don't think that the Israeli lovers here would like to have someone walk in and take over their home and land and force the owners of that home to live in the garage? How nice of those Israelis to do that. That pretty much says it all as to why the Palestinians are a little bit peeved off these days. The Palestinians truly are surrounded by a trigger happy military and a criminal government.

That is correct but that happened more than 70 years ago. Those who came over from Europe and by act of terrorism drove out Palestinians and took over their land are all dead now from old age. The current generation has no fault in this. They were not around then. They are surrounded by a very bitter enemy whose culture is (proven historically) to capture by force (of sword), massacre and rape. This generation has to protect themselves and their families from this violent neighbors (the ones that you hate based on your posting history and don't wish them to come anywhere close to Canada but blame Israel for not wanting them to come close to their borders. Hypocricy?).

You are correct in saying that this generation had nothing to do with it. But yet the fight continues on. Why? Instead of Israelis trying to make up in some way for what was stolen from the Palestinians 70 years ago they will not talk to them. Instead they prefer to just shoot them. They are trying to protect themselves also but all they have is rocks to fight back with. What do you expect from the Palestinians of today?

But why do the Israelis of today keep stealing land from the Palestinians? The Israelis have enough land for their needs to survive. That does not make the Israelis look good at all. It looks like they just want to continue on with the hostile take over of more Palestinian land. And you blame the Palestinians for fighting back. Get real.

Where have I ever said that I hate Israelis? Point that out to me will you or quit with the BS. It's always the same old, same old from people like you. Say something critical of Israel or Judaism and boom suddenly one is labeled anti-Jew. Jews really have to get over this we are the chosen ones nonsense. Only Christians are taught to believe that foolishness.

I don't want anyone coming to Canada and bringing their problems with them from whence they came. Canada is setting itself up for chaos and mayhem by letting in so many different cultures and traditions and religions and backing them up with government aid(Canadian tax dollars)that come here and cannot leave their old world and ways behind. Celebrating other foreign religions and traditions and cultures does not promote assimilation, it promotes division. We can now see that division happening in Canada today.

The Arabs and Muslims not Israelis.

Yes I agree with that though it is too much to expect that say Palestinians come here and totally forget about their families suffering at the hands of Israelis or Iranians come here and totally forget about occupation of their homeland or suffering of their families or other trouble spots in the world like Lebanon and Syria or Iraq. The good news is that these trouble spots are getting less and less as years passes. It used to be the whole Eastern and Latin Europe and South/Central America as well as Middle East and Africa but now it is limited to Middle East and Africa. Victory to the oppressed and death and destruction to the oppressors as soon as possible.

As long as the globalist elite corporate banksters keep going into many of those Arab or African or South/Central America countries and keep trying to stir up chit all the time in those countries there will never be any peace over there. As long as it is always about the money and power and control there will never be peace on earth. Israel and America really need to start minding their own business. They need to start to talk not start wars. But until that day comes this crap will go on forever.

But they cannot mind their own business when they are under threat by murderous regimes who don't even have mercy on their own people never mind the people of America. They can't stand by and witness the terrorist regimes develop their intercontinental nuclear misiles and target Europe and North America, Canada included. Also and more importantly the US as a superpower and a democracy cannot and must not be indifferent to gross human rights violations happening in those countries against the people who are crying out for help.

Israel brought on their own problems onto themselves. They asked for it. Where is America under threat from murderous regimes? If they stayed out of those regime countries there would be no problem. Is America prepared to invade South Africa for what the SA communist regime is doing to the white SA people over there. Thousands have been murdered and their land stolen by those murderous communists. But I can be pretty sure that South Africa would end up being last on the American hit list for invasion. Canada just recently turned away a South African white family who were looking for asylum in Canada from possibly being murdered. People who no doubt would have been a great asset to have in Canada as citizen's.

Murderous regimes are everywhere in the third world. How is America going to take them all on and think that they can win? I guess that some of those murderous regimes are only building those weapons to defend themselves from those two countries mentioned above. I believe that Israel has nuclear weapons to defend themselves. So why not other regimes also? Anyway, no one is that stupid enough to start sending nuclear weapons towards America or Israel. That would go beyond being seen as insane. No one will win with nuclear weapons flying across the skies at each other. Canada would not be on any countries hit list with nuclear missiles. That would be a waste of money to do that. After all we are a multicultural country and that should save us from destruction. :D

According to Trump America is not a superpower. Trump is adding another 700 billion dollars to help build up their military. America has not had true democracy since the international federal reserve banksters took that country over in 1913. Democracy really took a chit kicking where things really got worse under Obama and Hillary.  We will soon learn as to what the democrats had as plans for America and the American people. It was not good. If you took the time to listen to FOX news you would quickly soon learn what has been going on against the American people.

It is not the business of America to help fight against dozens of gross human rights violation countries. It is up to the people of those countries to do that for themselves. I am pretty sure that the average American could careless as to what is going on in other countries or Israelis. Then according to your way of thinking America should be invading countries like North Korea, China, Cuba, South Africa and Saudi Arabia right now who are committing plenty of gross human rights violations. Why only just pick on weak nations that are easy pushovers?

I am crying out for help in this country also to what the politicians have been doing with my tax dollars for decades now which I find sadly enough here that no one appears to want to talk about the waste of tax dollars or appear to even give a dam about how their tax dollars are being blown. Our dear leaders have stolen billions of taxpayer's tax dollars from Canadians for decades without a whimper from the taxpayer's and then they force plenty of their useless liberal/socialist programs and agendas on Canadians that were never asked for by we the stunned people. Off topic a bit but I thought that I just had to throw all mentioned above in. Excus peas. :)

I think we are totally n a different wavelength here. I don't see South Africa as a threat to America but rather those who don't have mercy on their own people and have directed (North Korea) or will be directing (Iran) their intercontinental nuclear weapons on America.

Most people already know of Israel's discriminatory treatment of Palestinians. This discrimination was highlighted very recently when the Palestinian teenager, Ahed Tamimi was taken in and sentenced for slapping an IDF soldier who wouldn't leave her property, especially after her cousin was shot in the head earlier in the day.

Here is a recent comparison:

Elor Azaria - Israeli soldier convicted of killing a wounded Palestinian by shooting him in the head. He'll be out in May, having served 9 months.

Ahed Tamimi - Palestinian teenager arrested after slapping a heavily-armed Israeli soldier in her backyard, soon after her cousin is shot in the head by Israeli soldiers. She's getting 8 months.

Justice served.

Palestinians are being used as human shields!  By Hamas!   By the way the leftist twisted mentality works, that's okay.....as long as they can blame and demonize Israel for it.

Even our own PM doesn't blast Hamas.....but wants a so-called independent inquiry over Israel's alleged use of "excessive" force.

And you talk about Israel's "descriminatory justice system???"   Gimme a break.  rolling.gif

You guys, are so funny.

So I guess the answer is still .. unanswered.  Does slapping a soldier deserve more time in prison compared to killing someone?

And there was no threat from Hamas. Not from what I say anyways. I know that's not going to be a popular opinion. However you really have to have a steady hand and a steady aim and a good eye to peer through the scope on the sniper rifle and pick protesting Palestinians off.

Does forcibly using a person as a human shield for bullets and bombs deserve lesser time in prison compared to actually shooting that human shield?  I think the first one deserves more time in prison - since being used as a shield, is also a form of torture.

At least you recognize that the person who actually does the shooting does in fact deserve time in prison.

BTW what force are you talking about? I didn't see anyone holding a gun to protesters heads and there were no snipers threatening them from behind.

But speaking of Human Shields:

Bottom line:  A nation can defend itself by whatever force is necessary!  No one can dictate how one should defend one's own borders.

This cockamamie "rule" that's being enforced by those who insist you should match what your opponent's capabilities are, is ridiculous!   "Not fair!.....not fair!"    What are they?  Kids?

National security......is not a hockey game!

Hold on a sec.  Here's an article that explains:

Quote

The video is striking. At first, Ahed (who is standing with her cousin, 20-year-old Nur Tamimi) can be seen pushing two armed soldiers, telling them to “get out” of the area surrounding the family’s home. After one soldier attempts to swat Ahed away with his arm, she responds by kicking and slapping him. The soldier dodges, but doesn’t retaliate. Soon after, Ahed’s mother, Nariman Tamimi, intervenes, urging the soldiers to leave. It was based on this altercation that all three women were charged with assault by Israeli authorities. Nariman Tamimi faces an additional charge of incitement for broadcasting the altercation on Facebook Live. Ahed Tamimi faces a total of 12 charges, including incitement and throwing stones.

The video of the melee garnered widespread attention on both sides of the Green Line. Among Palestinians, Ahed was heralded for standing up to the army. Some who praised her compared her to Malala Yousafzai and Joan of Arc.

Bassem Tamimi, Ahed’s father and a veteran activist—who himself was charged by Israeli authorities for organizing protests in 2012—called his daughter “a representative of a new generation of our people, of young freedom fighters” in Israeli newspaper Haaretz, adding: “My daughter has spent her whole life under the heavy shadow of the Israeli prison ... her own arrest was just a matter of time. An inevitable tragedy waiting to happen.”

For Israelis, she is seen as living proof of the army’s restraint. For Palestinians, she appears to have emerged as a national hero representing of a new generation of Palestinian resistance.

She gained notoriety once more three years later, when she was filmed slapping and biting a masked soldier trying to apprehend her younger brother.

In a way, last month’s incident was the same story. As the Times of Israel reported, Ahed told an Israeli military court the altercation was sparked by something that had happened only an hour before it took place, when an Israeli soldier shot her cousin, Muhammad Tamimi, in the head with a rubber bullet. “I saw the same soldiers who hit my cousin, this time in front of my house,” she testified. “I could not keep quiet and I responded as I did.”

Palestinian Ahed Tamimi accepts prison term plea deal

The Tamimis have a long history of both peaceful and violent resistance.

The prosecution said Ahed hit the soldiers shortly after hearing Israeli troops had severely wounded her 15-year-old cousin, who was shot in the head with a rubber bullet during a stone-throwing clash.

Tamimi’s mother, Nariman, and a cousin were also arrested for the same incident. Lasky said Nariman was also seeking an eight-month plea bargain.
