On the contrary, Reagan (and Trump) understand what it means to create real wealth.

Too many people, typically Leftists, only know how to share it.

I love the anecdote about the college professor asking the socialist students if they want to donate part of their grades to other students. "Tina you have a 3.8 gpa and drunk Timmy just has a 2.0 gpa. Why don't you give him .9 and then you will both have a 2.8?" "Ahhhhh hell no! I worked hard for those grades!" They're fine taking the money away from other people who worked hard to earn it, but sharing their grades doesn't work for them.

Re: Trump specifically, the accusation is that he's giving the tax breaks to his rich buddies so that they can all get ahead and that's bad for everyone. The truth is, if Trump wanted money for his buddies, he'd start up big government programs and give his buddies consulting fees, fat government contracts, appoint them as chairmen, etc. People don't understand how much power and money flows through sticky little government fingers in socialist countries.

The other thing Trump's economy does is it frees people to become small business owners. Starting up a business is hard enough in a capitalist system, but if you add the burden of excessive socialist taxes (someone's gotta pay for all that free university, dental, and medical that Bernie is promising everyone), and create an environment where potential employees won't get off their welfare for less than $15/hr, it cuts into businesses from both sides.

I think that's a fair observation, but also it should be said that to create a healthy society you need to be able to do both, to a degree.

If the FBI report had any incriminating evidence in it you can be sure Sen. Feinstein would've leaked it by now.

The Federal debt also tripled under Reagan. Headed the same way under Trump.

The US went from being the worlds largest international creditor nation to the largest debtor nation under Reagan.

Do you think Cooper or Lemon were right about Dr Ford's accusations, or Hannity? Hannity listened to it, spelled out the actual evidence, what did Cooper and Lemon tell you to do?

I didn't listen to any of it. But I know Hannity has about as much credibility as RT, though not as much integrity.

Hannity said that the FBI were corrupt, and it's leaders were showing serious bias in their handling of the Russian collusion case, and that Russian collusion was fake. Sounded like a tall tale at the time - very easy to dismiss as "Fake News".

It is fake news. Anyone who buys it is a drooling moron.

Wasn't it the Democrats' turn to nominate a judge in 2016? Didn't seem to matter much, eh?

Kavanaugh ran the full gauntlet of hearings but ran smack into a politically motivated last minute smear. You're entitled to disagree with his appointment - but your admitted contempt for all things Republican - in the context of this rudderless, contemptible bunch of Democrats is misplaced.

I base my view on Kavanaugh entirely on Kavanaugh.  He doesn't need any help to mark him as unfit for the job. He did that all by himself.

Yeah yeah yeah. Baseless accusations all around Argus. Thanks for the input.

You're part of the crew here that just spews the opinions of CNN without a shred of evidence, a link, an anecdote, or any kind of observation and you consider yourself an informed, open-minded intellectual lol.

You just got the impression that Fox is fake news from watching CNN and that's all the proof you need. And yet you call other people sheep. LMAO. Are african americans who support the republicans sheep? Are they just going with the flow too? 'Cause that's the easy thing to do, right Argus?

Yes. They were at least somewhat competent.

But that's the way it is for the brainless Trumpists.

And I don't give a shit about Obama. I didn't like him either. At least he had some dignity and integrity, though.

Yes it was their turn to NOMINATE. And if they nominated someone that the Senate would have approved then that would have been awesome for Obama. Why is this so hard for you to understand? This isn't the first time I've seen this comment here.

Unfortunately for the Democrats, Obama wasn't elected emperor, so he couldn't jsut put whoever he wanted on the SC. Is that what you need to hear Argus?

The senate never voted on him. He was never even given a hearing. You know why? Because he was too qualified. The Republicans knew they'd look like total idiots voting him down, so they refused to even give him a hearing. So what you're saying is that the president doesn't get to make appointments unless he has a majority in the senate, right?

1)Clinton was competent, Obama turned the country into a dumpster fire. Would you rather go to Iran or the USA in 2016?

2) Trump didn't commit crimes. You exaggerate too much. When Trump said "I just grab 'im by the pussy" he was probably talking about negotiating with Justin Trudeau. And there are varying levels of "supporting abortion". Anyone who is 100% against all abortions all the time is an idiot. By the same token, anyone who thinks that it's ok to stab a healthy baby in the head one second before it pops out of it's mother's vagina is also an idiot. The abortion debate needs to move to an adult level of discussion.

3) The bible has nothing to do with it. I'm an atheist, and I'd never vote for Hillary Clinton if I was American.

4) Typical Democrat. 100% hypocrisy. So hard to debate with someone who flips the board every ten seconds.

Right Argus. If you have so much to say about Fox's fake news then why don't you reply to my points from earlier? Or throw down some examples of your own? Vague accusations is all you've got Argus. It's your go-to and it's getting old really fast.

I can watch CNN for ten minutes tonight and catch them lying. If it was a drinking game everyone would be dead by the first commercial break.

African Americans who can think for themselves reject the democrat narrative. Americans of any stripe who are susceptible to emotionally-charged, fact-starved drivel are sucked right in.

The Republicans didn't stoop to the level of the Democrats and bring in some someone to accuse him of almost raping them, at an unknown location, four decades ago, with no witnesses, and fake PTSD symptoms. Am I right?

The proof is there if you want to see it. She had no payoff - but it's become clear that this poor woman had been undergoing therapy for more than just PTSD. The Democrats sat on the allegations for two months - knowing that a proper and full Senate investigation would have dismissed them as totally uncorroborated - and caught her in some of the more outlandish claims that she's made. They brought her forward at the last minute to do nothing but destroy Kavanaugh's reputation and in the meantime, throw Ford under the bus. Thanks to this particular disgusting group of Democrats, Ford has done more harm than good for #MeToo. Time will tell if that harm will torpedo any hopes they had for winning the House.

Kavanaugh has his share of outlandish claims, all of which have been refuted by people who knew him at the time.

Obama had the Tea Party to deal with, the party of "NO!". It didn't matter what he proposed, what he tried to do, how he tried to compromise, the answer was always "NO!"
Since the US government requires compromise, a party that won't compromise makes it pretty hard to get anything done. I'll grant you his foreign policy sucked ass, but hey, Trump's is, if anything, worse, and involves sucking up to dictators and insulting America's friends.

LOL. Wait till the Mueller investigation is done. Trump's whole long history in real estate was one of shady dealings, doubtful tax claims, cheating suppliers, and dodgy financial backers. Banning said that they're gonna get him on money laundering, not collusion, and he's probably right. Everyone around him has been found to have been cheating and breaking the law!

The bible has nothing to do with it unless you're a party and a candidature who does the "Praise the Lord!" routine. If you're going to represent yourself as the moral conscience of the nation and the party of family values it's damned important to walk the walk and not just talk the damn talk. Not only was Trump a serial adulterer, so were all his major backers. Like that slimeball Newt Gingrich, who postured so wonderfully during the Lewinski scandal, only to have it emerge later that he was a long-term serial adulterer himself.

Typical Democrat.

No, sunshine. It's not that I'm a Democrat. In fact, if I'd been an American I probably would have had to force myself to vote for Clinton, but I'd only have done it because Trump was such a buffoon. Otherwise I'd have voted Libertarian.

You won't find a single lie on CNN. They don't operate that way. Even FOX avoids outright lying. Instead they simply interview crazy people who spout nonsensical 'opinions', and give twisted versions of the truth.

What democratic narrative? You mean the one where the Republicans in every state are doing their best to keep Black people from voting through a variety of gerrymandering and voter ID laws?

Who has proof of anything re: SCJ nominations? Is there some level of proof that’s suddenly required, when just a week ago the Democrats and their toadies tried to set the precedent that evidence was just a formality?

I think the problem is some people have zero'ed in on the "Innocent until proven guilty" mantra put forth by the Republicans.

Innocent Until Proven Guilty.  Reasonable doubt.

This is a fantastic standard in criminal cases. A necessary standard in a free nation. I'm a fan!

However, people have been arguing that it is the only standard in all contexts at all times. Yeah...that's bullshit...as evidenced by fresh chants of LOCK HER UP at Trump rallies. This time, Feinstein, not Clinton is in their sights.

This standard is for criminal prosecution. Only. Even in the courts. For instance, in civil trials, this standard is not used. Preponderance of the evidence is used. Pretty vague? Yep. It comes down to who a judge or jury decide best proved their case. There is no reasonable doubt standard nor innocent until proven guilty.

But many Trump supporters are pretending it is also a cultural imperative. LOCK HER UP! That our very society rests on this standard. No it isn't and doesn't. Not even in the courts.

Your kids are playing in the park. A strange man is staring at them. You get an instinctive feeling of danger. Do you tell yourself he is innocent until proven otherwise? Hopefully not. You make your children safe. Because you DO NOT live your life by that standard. No one does.

How many careers or social lives have been destroyed in the past because of claims of homosexuality, or sexual promiscuity, or atheism, or any list of things people decide to be outraged about over the years. They were not operating under innocent until proven guilty, because we never have.

So stop arguing that it is the foundation of our society. It is not, and never has been, and never will be. It is the standard for criminal trials. It is the highest standard in the land. And it's not even the standard for all trials. Only criminal trials.

I don't know much about the early Obama years. I was happy that they elected an African American, I thought it would be good for the country. All I really ever cared about before was that they didn't start any crazy wars. Obama put the USA in the toilet. He couldn't have done more damage if he tried. Wrong about Russia, weak against them, wrong about Islamic State, weak against them, wrong about domestic terrorism, weak against them, wrong about police shootings and ran his mouth, started the country on fire and never did anything about it, and you could basically blame his big mouth and big ego for the rise of Donald Trump.

The Mueller investigation is a huge farce. The FBI has lost every shred of integrity they ever had in the last few years with their "bungling" of the Clinton investigation and now their sham of a "Russian collusion investigation". The pressure tactics that they are using on Cohen and Manafort are a disgrace to democracy. The DNC primary was a disgrace, the rigged debates were a disgrace, Hillary destroying evidence and getting away with it was a disgrace, Bill Clinton and Loretta Lynch's "coincidental" tarmac meeting was a disgrace, ad the top 5 members of the FBI and Brennan are a huge disgrace. There actually is a swamp in DC. I don't know how far it pre-dates Obama but it's disgusting.

The Republicans have a bunch of misogynist/cheaters. So do the Dems. Let's be honest, probably a handful of people in Congress and the Senate combined could live up to the scrutiny that's on Trump. People like Maxine Waters are even openly crass and disgusting on national tv.

Whether you're a Dem or Libertarian you're still buying into the hypocrisy of defending Bill Clinton, the actual rapist.
