Poor, Poor Americans ...

I didn't read any of the answers or the OP's description except that he is from Russia.

Now Mrs. Russian, why doesn't Russia destroy the United States of America and kill all Americans? You mentioned that they are poor, as in financially poor? That would be easy to kill them all then.

And think about it, Russia and the world kills them all, you won't have to hate and feel insecure anymore..... so why doesn't the world do that?

Seriously people, can somebody give me an answer to this question that is not BS?

You've been given answers that aren't BS, on numerous occasions, you just don't like the answers, because it doesn't fit with your "The world hates America" worldview.

Russia can't kill them all, but it came close to killing a whole lot of them in 1983, but ol' Stan Petrov made sure that didn't happen, and was fired for it. The Russians might nuke America one day, and you might get your wish, but that day hasn't come yet.

The world doesn't hate America, you just think they do, because you heard some people say they hate America, and are projecting their views onto a lot of other people who don't actually share those view.

That's a real answer, not BS. You simply refuse to consider that your worldview isn't accurate, and won't consider any responses that don't mesh with your silly perception.

There is a tendency in my life that what I wish for doesn't happen and what I don't wish for happens, so maybe I just won't wish for it then.

And you have proof that your's is accurate?

Yes, the fact that the world isn't ganging up to destroy the US, is proof that they don't hate the US enough to want it destroyed. If they did want to destroy the US, because they hate it so much, then they'd be actively trying to destroy it, as we speak, yet that isn't happening.

Wishful thinking is a helluva drug, and you are under it's sway with this constant asking why America hasn't been destroyed yet.

Maybe they are planning......?

More wishful thinking. Any proof of that plan, or are you going to be ridiculous and claim that because I can't prove their isn't a secret plan, that is proof there is one?

Sir..... remember that it was a bunch of dirty farmers who were poorly armed who defeated them in Vietnam.

If a third world nation such as that can do it..... imagine what other nations can do.

That's because America was attacking in terrain they didn't know as well as the enemy. America could have won in Vietnam if they fought it properly, instead of chasing the Viet Cong into the jungle, they should have just sat back and waited for North Vietnam to attack them along the coast without the cover of the jungle, and then hit them with B-52's when they are out in the open. LBJ screwed up real bad, if they had done it the way Nixon did from the start, they would have won.

It's a lot harder to make America quit when they are invading you, taking heavy casualties, and the media is against them, than it is to successfully invade and destroy America itself, especially when uniting against them would just bring them together like the Soviet Union did in the Cold War. Big difference.

The British tried when they were on top of the world, and even they couldn't do that when America was fairly divided. America is much more powerful now, than they were then, by a considerable margin, and that much harder to invade and destroy as a result. The world uniting against them and attacking the CONUS will just give them a new common foe to righteously fight, and the media will support that war.

Pearl Harbor the sleeping giant at your own peril, Japan knows. The biggest problem with your "why not treat America like Japan and Germany" schtick is, the only way Japan and Germany were brought down was by America and The Soviet Union, and the later doesn't exist anymore.

There is no America or Soviet Union to take down America anymore, the closest thing there is to that, is the Russians, and they are in a much worse position to do than they were as the Soviet Union, and they didn't they pulled back from the brink every time when they could have nuked America. The Cold War went pretty damn poorly for the Soviets, it's only going to go worse for the Russians if they went Hot War with America, in all likelihood.

Pie in the sky, wishful thinking. America isn't going anywhere, unless the Russian's nuke it, by miscalculation, misapprehension, or mistake, at the brink. America being around is a good thing, whether or not you know a few people who think that isn't the case, is besides the point.

When people talk about "the standard of living in any country", then, as a rule, they mean "salary".
It is not right....

For some reason you take an adversarial tone that's not necessary. It diminishes from the overall interest in what's otherwise a very informative post.

Every country has it's pros and cons. I doubt that anyone who lives in Florida is interested in moving to Siberia to have a few extra rubles on hand lol.

At the same time, Russia is in no danger of having an influx of immigrants break the bank.

You win some, you lose some.

Just reduced the amount of the initial post included in the quotes. My post was too awesome to edit.

That's an entirely ignorant comment. The majority of Americans didn't want to be there, that's one of the main reasons why they "lost". The other is that the Vietnamese that wanted communism were more forceful than the ones that wanted democracy. America wasn't willing to kill the required amount of people to get their way.

It's the same way in Afghanistan. The Taliban are willing to kill schoolgirls and anyone else who opposes their views. A lot of the population there is completely cowed and will not resist them. It's hard to win against a foe who can out-evil you to the extent that the Taliban can. Until you have the will to sink to their level you're at a huge disadvantage, but if you stoop to their level you lose more than just one shithole country.

Iraq had a decent enough army, better than a 3rd world army by anyone reasonable estimate. American tanks rolled across Iraq at 60 miles per hour laying waste to everything in uniform. America can win wars, they just don't like the cost of policing for the next ten years.
