Are humans really responsible for climate change?

Ouch, got me. Remind me to never go up against you guys again.

Man oh man that stung.

That's ok. But no need to get panties in a bunch, the world is not going to come to an end in ten years. It's not going to happen that way, not due to climate change. Lots of other ways it could very quickly, of course.

I knew Greta Thunberg would resonate with certain aspects of the left. She being so pure, and cute n' all. Eines Wunderkind. Europeans love their mythology of a child that will come and save the world.

Its going to happen due to the incapacity of our planet's ecosystems to support our economy.  The war over the scraps will likely be over fairly quickly.

I suspect her anger will resonant more, especially in the end.

Her lies will do her in, and hopefully the stupid alarmists will all go down with her. Today, the Liberals proposed a plan to become a carbon "net-zero" economy by 2050. Maybe you and Greta will given them heck.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner.  Well, almost.

The pressure on the planet due to our economy is a direct result of people wasting all of their time and money trying to figure out how to do the same things in a slightly different way - while NEVER addressing the real problem.

I we don't control population pretty soon, it will control (as in destroy) us.

If that was the case we would have been deleted along time ago, man has been at war with each other ever since we learned to throw rocks.....there are a lot more deadly forces in the world like disease, starvation,

Greta looks more like the European mythical character "Pippi Longstocking". So she is the climate Pippi.

What's probably more likely in the interim are kids going on hunger strikes.  Many individuals have been and are on hunger strikes already as we speak.  If these turn into mass hunger strikes and kids start dying the political response should be interesting to say the least.

There's going to be a lot of anger alright but there could also be a lot of sadness. That could make a difference maybe even enough to make a few hard-boiled conservatives crack.

Hunger strikes never work.

History shows that the response to far leftist shenanigans will be fascism, leftists won't have to starve themselves to death when they are hanging from the lampposts.

In fact,  history shows that the left will be blamed for everything, that's how fascism works, the left will be scapegoated, then they will be liquidated, women and children too.

In any mass crisis, there is no empathy, the fangs will come out, Homo Sapiens Sapiens apex predator,  hyper tribal and territorial.

The humanitarian impulse only comes from apes who are not in crisis, if all the apes are in crisis at once, that will incite war of annihilation.

And of course in this atomic age, it wouldn't be long before that went thermonuclear.

There's no silver lining to the doomsday scenarios of the left, doom means what it says.

By whipping up doomsday hysteria, the left is cutting its own throat, fascism is on the march already.

The Nazis were the worlds first environmentalists, environmentalism is Malthusian.  People are the problem.

The head of one of the two organizations which first called for the formation of a UN group to look into global warming says people should stop paying attention to climate alarmists and extremists like, uh, Greta.

The head of the world’s foremost weather science organization issued a surprise rebuke to climate alarmists in remarks published on Sept. 6, marking what may be, according to some experts, one of the most significant developments in the climate debate in decades.

Petteri Taalas, the secretary-general of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), told the Talouselämä magazine in Finland that he disagrees with doomsday climate extremists who call for radical action to prevent a purported apocalypse.

“Now, we should stay calm and ponder what is really the solution to this problem,” Taalas said. “It is not going to be the end of the world. The world is just becoming more challenging. In parts of the globe, living conditions are becoming worse, but people have survived in harsh conditions.”

Greenpeace co-founder Patrick Moore called Taalas’s remarks the “biggest crack in the alarmist narrative for a long time.”

“The meteorologists are real scientists and probably fed up with Greta, Mann, Gore, & AOC catastrophists. Good on him,” Moore wrote on Twitter on Sept. 7. AOC is the acronym commonly used to refer to Ocasio-Cortez. The three others named in the message are Michael Mann, a climatologist; Greta Thunberg, a 16-year-old Swedish student; and former Vice President Al Gore.

Nonsense. People die every day, and it's completely natural. Poor Greta must be very distressed because conservatives are such a bunch of heartless, old white men. We only care about money, not the little children! She's probably at home now crying inconsolably, not eating. Disillusioned, she has realized there is no hope because we conservatives simply do not care and will not change. And with Trump looking to win again, we're not going to allow things to change.

Have wondered why Homo Sapiens are as complex as they are . . . . reason, memory, guile, resourcefulness, etc. . . . .  So much more than any other species on the earth.  Smarter than we need to be to live in this world.  So smart that we can eliminate ourselves.  Do the red ants spend countless centuries figuring out how to eliminate the black ants . . . Are the Grizzly bears planning an all out war on the giraffes . . .  Mankind is the obvious 'alien' on this planet.  We have learned to enjoy shitting in our bed.

I doubt this story will be taken very seriously outside the usual denialist circle jerk.

The Epoch Times.

Epoch Times - Right Bias - Conservative - PropagandaRIGHT BIAS

These media sources are moderately to strongly biased toward conservative causes through story selection and/or political affiliation. They may utilize strong loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by using appeal to emotion or stereotypes), publish misleading reports and omit reporting of information that may damage conservative causes. Some sources in this category may be untrustworthy. See all Right Bias sources.

  • Overall, we rate The Epoch Times Right Biased based on editorial positions that consistently favor the right. We also rate them factually Mixed due to the publication of pseudoscience as well as propaganda against China and strong support for the Trump administration.

As Petteri Taalas is a credible right wing source, here are some other things he's said in the past week.

We have seen fairly dramatic change in climate change so far, we have been breaking records in temperatures, breaking records in greenhouse gas concentrations, in carbon emissions

We must focus on adaptation.

We know that climate change will proceed for the next 50 years, anyhow, with increasing disasters and problems due to climate change, and we must focus on adaptation.

We are not the dominant species on earth because we are nice, you don't get to where we are, by being nice, everything I have, all my liberties and prosperity, is a product of aggression and war. Si vis pacem, para bellum.

The absurd naivete of the contemporary left is that they have deluded themselves somehow into thinking that alarmist hysteria favors their agenda.

When in fact, the opposite is true, insecurity inherently favors the right, the far right most of all.  Mass insecurity is the recipe for fascism.

Notice how the left has no viable solutions, yet they keep invoking doom, while demanding action, action, action.  That is how fascism works.

The contemporary left is as a result going to burn in a fire of their own making.   The action is going to happen and it is going to happen to them.

Can't say I'm going to miss them.

Invoking doom becomes a self fulfilling prophecy, but it's doom for the lefties, while they think it will be the doom for the far-right, so they accelerate themselves right off the cliff and bring about the rise of the very group they are so worried about stopping. Can't say we didn't warn them.

Once again, we're back to the 1920's.   The Fascists all started out as socialists, from Mussolini to the German Workers Party.

This leading psychologist is speaking up and saying what a lot of people are thinking, she is  an 'entitled political pawn' in need of treatment.  ( and no he is not attack her)

This young lady is being used and abused by people with a radical agenda.   They really should stop scaring the life out of children and tone down the rhetoric, the world is not going to end in 12 years.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7501829/Psychologist-says-hes-worried-mental-wellbeing-climate-change-activist-Greta-Thunberg.html

'I worry about her going the same as child TV stars, that they just burn out and potentially have a disastrous psychological outcome,' he told 3AW on Wednesday.

'Can I make it clear, I am not a climate change denier. I actually think that we do need to do more about saving the planet.'

Dr Carr-Gregg said he was wary of Greta's Asperger's and history of mental health in his analysis of the teenager, who he believes has a 'sense of entitlement'.

'I am worried that we use a kid like this, who arguably should be getting treatment because she's said she's had anorexia, said she's got Asperger's and said she's battled depression,' he said.

'As a parent, if this was my child, I'm not sure I'd be putting them on the world stage.'

Dr Carr-Gregg said he was worried about Greta's future, her current psychological health and how it would impact other young people.

Will somebody please ask Argus how many times and for how many years his ilk intend to piss, moan, scream and kick about the cost of adaptation?  Mark my words these people won't skip a beat when it comes to switching gears from denying climate change and preventing action to now stalling and putting off the day of adapting to it.

I suspect in just about any other case that adapting to a worsening situation would include not making the situation worse so who the fuck do these people think they're kidding? You know deep down in their hearts they're already looking beyond adapting to the next step which is embracing it.

Nothing more than fear mongering, "people are going to die", give us a break,  ....thats bullshit, utter and complete bullshit...first off what parent is going to allow there children to carry out a hunger strike to the point of death, and if they do then we have a much bigger problem don't we….....What adult is going to allow their spouse, friend, or other to do the same....Here in Canada we have a law that states once a person is unconscious consent to perform life saving measures is given, I call 911 and they ship your ass to the hospital where they give you an IV force feeding you.....unless you have been given permission to die by a judge / medical professional. And if you sit by and watch that friend die for a cause beyond their fixing well sir " your an asshole"....not much of a friend...and should be locked up...

Besides a lot  Canadians could miss a few meals anyway,  hunger strike away,

Why is there such resistance to simple logic?

It's sad watching the change in response to climate change deniers.

1) "Nope! It's not happening!"

2) "Okay. It's happening, but it's not caused by humans! It's a natural occurrence."

Don't you people get sick of yourselves and the goal post you keep moving?
