How Justin Trudeau made Canada the Weakest Link

Recommended Posts

No good to run to the UN....Trudeau claims that Canada is the world's first "post national state".

Meanwhile, the reality of Chinese nationalism has bitten him right in his post national ass.

A post national state has no citizens, so not my problem.  House of Windsor rolls on without them.

The weakest link leader thinks he can have it both ways....his post national state is now begging for support from a lot of other very sovereign, nationalistic states.

That kind of rhetoric may fly in "sunny ways" Canada, but not in the rest of the world.  "Soft power" is very important to weakest link Canada, not China, where "hard power" matters more.

I notice that the fate of the convicted meth smuggler has quietly disappeared from the main narrative....he deserves whatever he gets for being so stupid.

Even if I was moved by the plight of a fake country, I still wouldn't negotiate with terrorists, do your worst China, I won't flinch.

And yet Canada remains one of the best countries in which to live and work...

But for how long. With no pipelines and a steady flow of people coming in, it is going to burst. And we are all fucked, just because of one idiot and the assholes that vote for him.

What trudeau needs to do right this minute, it to tell trump we want the paper work on this chinese women to show what they have on her, by the end of the day or we release her. Then phone the pres of china and tell him because of his childish actions, your equipment will never be used in canada.

Trudeau's post-national state ideas are just pure hypocrisy. In reality, he's an ethno-racial-cultural tribalist, an ideology that underpins Canada's bizarre and extreme version of multiculturalism.

The weakest link just got weaker with Ambassador McCallum getting "turfed" by Justin Trudeau.

This is the work of..."amateurs":

Quote

The Trudeau government had frittered away much of its capital well before Ms. Meng was detained. Now, with Mr. McCallum’s ouster, this country’s foreign policy is revealed to all the world as the work of amateurs.

Here’s the worst of it: Mr. McCallum didn’t just misspeak, he spilled the beans. He almost certainly channelled the thinking of people inside the Prime Minister’s Office. Everyone now knows that the Canadian government thinks there are good legal reasons why Ms. Meng, should not be extradited. Everyone now knows that Canada resents the United States government for making the extradition request in the first place, and heartily wishes Washington would withdraw that request.

I don't think the Trudeaupians have any influence never mind control over the Hon. Judge William Ehrcke, very experienced jurist, I don't think he gives a rats ass what the government wants or thinks should happen.   Trudeau is basically a passenger here, he has no control of where this goes.

Where is Chrystia Freeland hiding out ?   Isn't she the foreign minister ?

I don't think she has much influence with the Trump Administration, which is who would have to withdraw the extradition request, which they are apparently not going to do.

Okay, but who did McCallum work for...Freeland or Trudeau ?

What would it help to fire Freeland?  Seems to me she's one of the more competent Trudeaupians, the bench is pretty thin here, I don't see how Trudueau can fire his way out of this.

What's the chain of command ?   Did McCallum just go rogue ?

I don't think he went rogue so much was not getting any direction and was just being honest.  I've met the man, he's not Machiavellian, he's an economist not an operator.

The Chinese like him cause he doesn't bullshit them, that's how he gets things done in Beijing, or rather did.

Right...John McCallum has been around for a long time...he even mumbles better than PM Chretien.   Nothing surprising there.

But how is this organization set up ?    Who runs Global Affairs Canada ?    The PMO ?

Yeah, everything is run through the PMO, it's just Gerry Butts and Trudeau making shit up as they go, that's how it works because the MP's are so weak they are just window dressing.

Well hell, no wonder this is such a disaster ?   Trudeau has no experience at such things, and Butts just thinks he does.

These clowns have now collectively managed to piss off more than half a dozen nations...all at the same time.

All inclusive to the failed state Confederation, because all the Liberals have to do is find a front man like Trudeau, and then steal the NDP's platform, and then they can rule indefinitely, because unless the left is split, the Tories are dead in the water.

So there's no Darwinian forces on the Liberals to find competent MP's, they just get cronies who are there to peddle influence and have a government job and pension for life.

And yet, Trudeau might actually pull off a couple of pipelines, a carbon tax, and more remarkably, re-election.  If all three were to happen he would have the last laugh and Canada would be one of a few countries to maintain the policy fight against climate change and a progressive, “feminist agenda.”  Annoying in some ways, but affirming of human development in others.  I’d still rather see a conservative as PM.

From 100,000 feet, it looks like Justin Trudeau and the Sunshine Band are in way above their heads, and drowning badly without the usual backup from the Estados Unidos.   That is, with such poor relations with the Trump administration, they are on their own to figure it out and are not doing so well.   Where is Obama when Trudeau needs him !

Indeed, only the Hegemons have foreign policies, fake countries like Canada don't have the staff to play at this level.

Maybe they did after World War Two for a few decades, but those guys are long dead now.

Previous PMs who were opposed to U.S. foreign policies were far more adept at leveraging disputes with far more aplomb, garnering wider domestic support in Canada.

Trudeau is capable of neither....as now even Canadian media is piling on.
