Trudeau lying about SNC

I think JWR calculated a political victory for herself.  She’s probably right.  The problem is, at what cost to her party and government?  Trudeau I’m sure would like to boot her out of Caucus, but of course he  would lose in the court of public opinion, the source of votes.  So now, as in the days of the Sponsorship Scandal, we see a weakened party that’s divided against itself and may lose the next federal election. I think the public by now sees through the problem with leaning on identity politics, which becomes a race to prove who is more politically correct and progressive, and who can give away the most taxpayer funding to support affirmative action programs.  Maybe not though.  Maybe the NDP will win a majority.  Sarcasm.

When anyone tries to force change on people they do so at their own peril. Identity politics, affirmative action and catering to minorities while ignoring more important national matters are hallmarks of this failed government.  It is important for a just society to ensure that all its citizens are treated equally and fairly.  No one group of people are more or less important than another.  This government has made a habit of ignoring that fact by constantly trying to force their identity politics upon the population.  Peoplekind are not amused and will not forget when it comes time to go to the polls.  As for Wilson-Raybould, I wish her all the luck in the coming election - she will most definitely need every bit of it.

Now, the leftists try to play their old trick, victimhood; poor JT is a good naive boy(victim), and JWR is an evil witch. Too bad, leftists cannot use the "Indigenous"

Both of them are victims of their naivete and over-weaning egos. They both will pay for those character flaws.

Real women don't need to hide behind some 'feminist' banner, taxme.  Real women tend to stand on their own and value the contributions of men.  Real women can think for themselves - unlike so-called 'feminists' who depend on slogans and newspeak but when faced with intelligent logical questions are at a total loss as how to respond.

That "feminism" decided to ally itself with the religion of Islam shows how far out to sea they really are.

More bad news for SNC-Lavalin, and there is nobody Team Trudeau can bribe to fix it.

Thanks Mr USA for letting us know what we already know.

I sure hope this is the end of Trudeau and the Liberals overall.  And I hope SNC-Lavalin gets raked over the coals and slapped around. But since the government sanctioned their mafia-like activities, nothing will happen.

No way, they just need to not let JWR talk, every day there are less people caring about SNC case. BTW, Jussie Smollett's case really proves that Liberals can above the laws

That means this is a cover up. But this is not just a Liberals thing as SNC-Lavalin has been allowed to get away with this kind of activity for decades. This is not just Liberal sanctioned or PC sanctioned,  this is federal government sanctioned. Meaning this issue crosses party lines and they are ALL collectively to blame for this. It's just Trudeau will take the fall for it, as he should, but I want to see other heads roll here too.

What a conundrum. Trudeau is a milquetoast and panders to the SJW and PC crowd. Singh is a national joke and mere place-holder in the NDP's never-to-end search for a "leader" (something they have never had) and then there is Scheer. Now, I have met and debated this shallow, hollow, feckless, excuse for a human and despair for Canada if he ever became PM. He is another Harper, without the charisma.  What to do?

Why don't you widen your search to something very new, lots of new national parties out there, some liberal minded or conservative minded....all you got to do is say fuc* the above choices...some of these parties are going to surprise us all. Have you seen Mad Maxs platform , for a brand new party his numbers are climbing rapidly....come oct they could strip not only disheartened liberals but cons as well.

I have and there is nothing there. Mad Max will prove to be one thing and one thing only...a spoiler for both the Reform (cons) and Glibs. This may not be an entirely bad thing. Bad as he is, Trudeau is a devil I know compared to the deep blue and unknown sea Scheer represents.

Maybe your right, maybe max is doomed to be that guy that is a distraction.... how ever history is full of examples of brand new parties becoming the new goto party, look at Frances recent election, a brand new party that over came the odds...I think Canadians are tired of the 2 leading parties in Canada....they want change....As for PPC not having anything there for a platform, come on, ....then again if your leaning towards Justin's liberals then ya...I can see why you might think there is nothing there....Justin promised us the moon, all he really did was deliver a half ass scheme for dope...and a lot of broken promises, he has had his chance, lets bring in the clowns, to escort him out of parliament and back to the drama dept..

https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/snc-lavalin-warned-of-move-abroad-1.5075840

Time to put all this to rest and just charge SNC-Lavalin with corruption and all that stuff.  Remember when people were talking about jobs? If SNC was charged jobs would be lost?

The jobs will be lost by SNC-Lavalin moving operations abroad if they are charged.

Quote

SNC-Lavalin warned federal prosecutors last fall about a possible plan to split the company in two, move its offices to the United States and eliminate its Canadian workforce if it didn't get a deal to avoid criminal prosecution, newly obtained documents show.

The documents, part of a PowerPoint presentation obtained by The Canadian Press, describe something called "Plan B" — what Montreal-based SNC might have to do if it can't convince the government to grant a so-called remediation agreement to avoid criminal proceedings in a fraud and corruption case related to projects in Libya.

Under that plan, SNC would move its Montreal headquarters and corporate offices in Ontario and Quebec to the U.S. within a year, cutting its workforce to just 3,500 from 8,717, before eventually winding up its Canadian operations.

To me, more evidence of SNC-Lavalin showing how corrupt they are. This is blackmail.

Trudeau has lied about everything since he was elected. And I cant believe there is still 30% of people would vote for him. As he said a couple of weeks ago, he was elected to CHANGE the country, he was elected to lead, not change. And I wish the cons would come out and fight him on CC. We do not need to cut our own throats when we are not the problem. There is a lot we can do without taxing the shit out of people. Which has been proven that it does not work.

I just hear that on radio too. Now, it seems that leaking the "SNC-Lavalin warned federal prosecutors last fall" stoy is a pre-emptive strike from JT side. Few days or so ago, JWR submitted her stuff to the Commons justice committee already. Someone in the committee knew the content and alerted JT team.

Bernie is a scum bucket. He's been silent throughout the Lavalin fiasco because he is a sleezy coward and doesn't want to alienate Quebec votes. He should have spoken up weeks ago instead of continuing to hide. He's also an idiot. I listen to him in French. He has the i.q. of a cucumber.

I don't know.  It makes Trudeau look spineless and dishonest actually. I think it was leaked from the former Privy Council head Michael Wernick. When you see a document leaked you have to ask who does it vindicate, certainly not Trudeau, it paints him as a panicked, conflicted coward manipulated by Lavalin. It doesn't help Lavalin because it directly contradicts the statements of their CEO last week.

Interestingly it would if you were Wernick justify his feelings of anger that he felt the threat was public policy and that is why he got involved.

I think its people inside Lavalin plus Wernick who think Trudeau bailed on them and their CEO is bailing on them.

The CEO's comments sound like someone last week who has had enough and wants to plead guilty. Trudeau has had enough and wants this over. So I think its Wernick who left in a tantrum andf feels he has been hard done by, It does enhance the argument JWR was pressured by Trudeau so it could be her but it also plays to Wernick saying he spoke to Lavalin every day, there was nothing wrong with that and he had good concern over them leaving Canada.

The timing points to Wernick. Then again I am guessing and your guess is as good as mine.

What it leaves to be questioned is this...why wouldn't Trudeau or Wernick or both have conducted an independent study to see if Lavalin could leave Canada or would?

That claim makes no sense. Lavalin actually has very little federal government business in Canada as most of it is with other people or governments in Canada. As well most of that is with subsidiaries who would be making money in Canada but untouched by any potential fed. gov. business ban so they would have no reason to move abandoning their on-going projects. They also would face a huge financial penalty from Caisse Populaire on an unpaid loan if they tried to move any part of the head office before 2024.

There is a r possibility Trudeau panicked because Lavalin has other dirt on him like info as to Liberal MP's including Justin himself taking money from Lavalin and given Trudeau was so blatant about placing himself in a conflict of interest with the Aga Kahn, accepting favours from Lavalin could be quite conceivable.

However the leak plays out to showT rudeau as one dumb weak ass and the current Lavalin CEO as a liar and it doesn't really add to JWR's position but it sure as hell adds negatives to both Lavalin's CEO and Trudeau in one foul leak.

I think given the wording in the release that places all kinds of emphasis on Lavalin caring about their shareholders and this is why they tried so hard for a dpa because they supposedly carer about their shareholders , it points to old time executives in Lavalin now facing a class action law suit by sharerholders  in a Windsor class action law suit starting in June. I think it was leaked by them  to try protect them via Wernick who is close with the old corrupt executives who the new Lavalin CEO is trying to distance  himself from and try dismiss.

My gut says its executives sued at Lavalin over the shareholder insider law suit with or without the assistance of Wernick.

It is inconceivable the current CEO of Lavalin let this out. The press spokesman for Lavalin clearly will be fired for commenting on it and humiliating the CEO. Watch for that. If he is not either the CEO is a  lame duck and totally lost control or is one stupid man. From what I understand he sees himself on a mission to clean up Lavalin and distance itself from asking for the dpa and former dirty transactions.

From what I understand he wants Lavalin coming clean and pleading guilty.

Geez Rue tell us how you really think about MAX, then again lets compare him to the rest of those up for election....Justin, well, we don't have to say much here, May she is a full blown tree hugger, thats wants us off fossil fuels now, NDP leader not sure if he even knows he's in a federal election or not, can barely handle the NDP party let alone the entire country....Scheer is a poll and media guy he is not going to make those difficult choices unless it is popular, it boils down to more of the same liberal shit....same tactics same corruption, same everything except what is considered conservative.....

After all that who is left Rue, suddenly the cucumber is looking pretty good....his platform is a lot more palatable than most, it has a lot issues that the other parties are afraid to tackle...like the dairy cartel, pandering to big corps and interest groups, Cutting back massive amounts of foreign aid, looking after Canadians first, cutting back on immigration,  . plus most if not all of the cons promises, like getting out of the immigration pact, cutting the carbon taxes, plus a lot more....

I think that Canadians are tired of the same old two wingnuts to choose from, I know I am, I tired of all the corruption, pandering, that goes with the 2 main parties....I'm also tired of being lied to, campaign promises that are never kept...and when you start to sift through the garbage that is out there right now, your choices are limited....and as much as I dislike Trudeau  I'm not going to waste my vote, By voting Cons  just so that Justin does not get back in power...I've been disappointed way to many times for that.

It would only if JT were Trump.

It is all about JT brand , and that brand has lower approval rating than Trump now.  It showed that bad mouthing JWR did not work. Liberal party is doubling down on the victimhood and makes Lavalin a villain (it will not be a problem as long as liberal is in power). Liberal party : "Ya,  JT made a mistake (being weak). However, he will learn from that mistake". Liberal bets on that a helpless JT will appeal to their base.

Well that's it for Wilson-Raybould and probably Philpot too.  They are gone from caucus after this latest revelation from the former AG.  I listened to the entire tape of the conversation she had with the clerk of the privy council that she recorded without his knowledge.  There is absolutely no doubt that her perception of undue pressure being applied was correct.  Wernick is like a dog with a bone and keeps coming back time and again at her about how important the DPA is to the PM.  She states clearly that she is trying to protect the PM from political interference in the case but that didn't stop Wernick.

There is no way the liberals can continue to keep Wilson-Raybould in caucus now as the other MPs will demand she be expelled - right or wrong - she is gone.

So the never-ending tale of SNC Lavalin continues - more fodder for the MSM and the opposition and really bad news for the PM and the liberals.
