Trudeau lying about SNC

Jody did nothing wrong except in the minds of the liberal kool-aid sippers. The taping is perfectly legal under the criminal code and the only folks who see it as wrong are those who are pissed it showed her 100% correct and Trudeau et al complete liars. Trudeau has mis-handled this issue from the outset and is solely responsible for the entire fiasco.

No leader in his right mind would put up with such crap in any company or party.  Get real.

This is what I find so confusing ….this liberal attitude, most liberals are pissed that a phone conversation was taped...and could not give a flying F#### about the content of the conversation, which reinforces the fact she was pressured, clarifying one more liberal lie...."she was not pressured in any way the liberal gang of thugs have said....along why all the rest of the lies that have been proven to be just that lies....and still liberals can not see any of the wrong doing, continue to swallow what ever kool aid Trudeau is pumping out..." and then have the balls to lecture the rest of us what is right and wrong with this crises.

Nothing wrong took place the liberals say...and yet Brisson hung up his boots, then Trudeaus number one man quits for no reason, then the number one public servant packs it in,  along with one minister...all of them were on the money train, at the top of their careers , had many more years ahead of them...and they just decide to quit and we are suppose to just over look all that and not ask why? not even question the who, where, when, etc etc...

You're right, it's not a crime to do what she did, but her tape isn't admissible in court as evidence either.

I'm glad she did it. Even though it's not legally "evidence" it's proof to the public that she's telling the truth. Wernick shouldn't be saying things over the phone that are against the public interest.

1) Michel Fourier pleaded guilty to receiving over $2.3M in payments from SNC in connection with SNC being rewarded a $125M contract to build 1 bridge.

2) Trudeau's government is awarding 1,000 times as much money in "infrastructure spending projects".

3) Trudeau created the deferred prosecution law that was SPECIFICALLY designed to keep SNC in the loop.

4) Trudeau and his cronies did everything in their power to protect SNC from prosecution, just so that they could get their hands in the federal coffers.

How much did Trudeau stand to personally gain from this? Were his offshore accounts going to receive some of that SNC windfall cash?

5) Trudeau committed political suicide to keep from being investigated. He knows he is done as PM now, so what was it worth it for him to go this route? Is he worried that the results of an investigation would be far worse than just becoming the leader of the opposition?

It is admissible and has been both admitted and accepted, in the court of public opinion. Which carries more weight than the the court of law...especially these days.

So it’s come out that JWR tried to lay out five conditions for Trudeau before she would accept her Cabinet shuffle, which included firing three key people (Wernick, Bouchard, and Butts), promising not to let the new Justice Minister set up a DPA, as well as have Trudeau make a public apology. Incredible. She really thought she was running the show.

Thank you. They should have listened to her.

No they should not have.  My only hope now is that Lametti disregards her attempt to influence the decisions of the Justice Minister, which is of course inappropriate, though probably not illegal.

Lametti is a Trudeau lap dog. He'll do whatever Trudeau tells him to do. Something Jody had too much in the way of ethics to kow-tow to. Then SNC will get away with major crimes and the course of justice will have been subverted by the PM of the country.

I don’t think that’s true.  I think a DPA would provide a measured and appropriate consequence.  I just hope Lametti has the balls to do it.  I was impressed to see JT act decisively and do the right thing.  Maybe there’s hope yet for the Liberals to hold onto power.

That's kind of what I got out of news reports yesteday. They are 'shocked' that someone recorded their conversations. And not shocked by the content? They SHOULD be admissible in court as it's not fabrication on Raybold-Wilson. She did not force those other people to say what they said.  I had a feeling that the recordings would tell us a lot more.

She did what no one else was willing to do, hold people accountable. And her reward? Getting kicked out of the Liberal party. She had to record because none of this would see the light of day otherwise.

Are you ok with 20+ years of SNC-LAvalin corruption sanctioned 100% by our own corrupt government? That is the real question here.

They’re a massive international operation based in Canada.  I don’t think it’s fair to punish thousands for the crimes of a few.  If we shut them down in Canada then head office jobs and business taxes leave the country.  We need money to pay for those land claims JWR supports.

I am not convinced the recording (they haven't used tapes in many years) wouldn't be admissible in court, not that this one needs to be, because police wiretap evidence is and the other side certainly doesn't know they are being taped.

There you go fear-mongering again. SNC cannot leave Canada for at least 5 years. The are in a secure contract which would cost the dearly. Furthermore, they wouldn't leave Canada anyway as they have plenty of opportunities here. They have been banned from Many other Federal projects for at least 5 years and no jobs have been lost. So get off your hobby horse, it is going nowhere.

Do you know how many Canadian internaitonal operation HQ in Canada?

Not few, the whole upper-level managment are. BTW, it is a safe bet that you are fine that SNC used gov't funding to bribe the foreign officers
