Trudeau lying about SNC

Recommended Posts

It's not getting into the weeds it is how the DPA works, nobody is arguing what powers  the AG has, but rather the limitations of those powers. if it is proven that a case does not qualify for a DPA then one can not be issued, hence why their are restrictions or guide lines on how they are issued.....those guide lines are for everyone in parliament, including the AG , PMO office and everyone else...

Have you been following the case at all, even Justin has slipped up and admitted to pressuring her, have you listened to recorded phone conversation, have you asked your self why Butts , the senior civil servant , plus another minster, quit without any warning....Man it does not take a lot to string you liberals along does it...it takes blind faith in ones political leader to another level....

Trying to be too bad
Trying to talk too tough
Trying to jack the lad
You'd think he'd had enough

But he's not the man you'd think that he can be
I just don't know why you can't see
That he is only the imposter
That he is only the imposter

Ontario PCs will place stickers on all gas pumps bringing attention to the fact that increase in gas prices is due to the Federal Liberals carbon tax. Or as the PM likes to say "price on pollution". That should suck some votes away from the Grits.

Just out of curiosity do you think Sheer should have the charges dropped if it's left up to his government to decide?

If you are referring to the SNC charges, that they be given a DPA, "NO" I don't think any government should drop the charges...SNC has a long history of this behavior, under many different CEO's , what I think should happen is this whole DPA thing be look at again, to see if this is not just political tool to favor the rich and famous....

I think it is time to stop corporate welfare, stop paying for others mistakes with tax dollars....SNC is not the only one, remember the bread pricing scandal, their back in the news once again....There should be laws in which these big CEO's who make these mistakes should be stripped of all their wealth once the company goes under because of these stupid mistakes or decisions....

Just read that the Liberal caucus chair Francis Scarpaleggia said in a statement that  the rules Michael Chong established for caucus decisions such as expulsion do not apply to the Liberals because they opted out of them.   I found this

https://nationalpost.com/news/canada/philpott-says-trudeaus-caucus-expulsions-violated-law

A set of amendments to the Parliament of Canada Act, spearheaded by Conservative MP Michael Chong, was passed in 2015 in an effort to make it more difficult for MPs to be removed from caucus — part of an effort to decentralize political power on Parliament Hill and put it back in the hands of rank-and-file legislators.

Those rules require that after a federal election, the MPs of each party hold a vote to determine the rules for caucus expulsions. But in November 2015, after the Liberals formed government, they deferred the matter, and as a result the rules — which would have required 90 Liberal MPs to express support for expelling Philpott and Wilson-Raybould — were not formally adopted.

Glad to hear it and I'll have you and your homies backs if it comes down to a coup d'etat to put a stop to it.  I'm pretty sure its precisely this sort of back-room horseshit that sinks us into hopeless military quagmires and that leave you out to dry afterwards.

Providing that the case meets all the requirements for a DPA.....

It is not back and white. Do you remmember this when the JT's minions asked JWR to grant SNC a DPA, they would mobilize friendly medias and scholars to justify her action.  At the end, DPA is not a wrong option, but it is just not as right as "no DPA" option.

Yup.

Think the Conservatives are any different?

We need a real change. :)

What does real change look like?

Would a Bernie Sanders-type government be any better?

All that happens when you massively increase taxes is you demotivate people, and you end up with most of the money in the country flowing through the sticky fingers of the government. It's the exact opposite of what the SJW crowd is trying to accomplish.

The way an SJW sees it is like this:

The government grabs massive amounts of money from successful individuals & corporations and uses it to give them and their friends a boost to get through college. YAY! It taxes the life out of industries that burn fossil fuels. Yay! Wealthy businessmen like Buffet no longer have big gobs of cash YAY!

Here's the reality:

Warren Buffet is just as rich as ever, his businesses are just in foreign countries now and he keeps as much of his wealth offshore as he can.

The Laffer curve shows how, when you tax people too much, they no longer have the incentive to work as hard. They work part time and turn their attention to getting on the government gravy train.

In the real world, when you tax the top end too much the Captains of Industry move their wealth and their companies to foreign countries and good-paying jobs go away. The free university degree that you got is no big deal because if you get a good job and make  alot of money you don't get to keep much of it... you're paying for other kids to go to college and to be on welfare. Foreign-country-Buffet gets even wealthier and the gap between rich and poor increases. The money that the government takes in inevitably goes to their friends' companies and the people in power get bigger kickbacks. Companies within countries that don't care about fossil fuels have a huge edge over your own tax-burdened companies. Your own companies die off. Like in Canada, for example.

If I have a farm and I have 4 plots of land that each grow $300K worth of food, and I live in a socialist country, do I even bother to harvest it all? For an example: in a capitalist country the first $700K is expenses, $100K goes towards my mortgage and the last $400K is profit which i will get taxed on. In Sandersland my expenses will be much higher because the minimum wage is higher. I also have to pay a lot more into medicare, etc. So $800K is expenses, $100K is mortgage, and I have $300K profit, but now I get almost nothing for the last $100K. About $10K. So if I leave $100K worth of food to rot on the vines I almost make the exact same amount of money, plus I'll save about 1/12th on wages for harvesting. Now there's less food to go around, but my bottom line looks better. Just imagine a whole country where everyone knows that there's not much point in getting out of bed at 5 am to make a difference. They can sleep until noon and have almost exactly the same lifestyle. Pajamaland.

Jane Philpott has just blackened Trudeau's eye...again: https://nationalpost.com/news/canada/philpott-says-trudeaus-caucus-expulsions-violated-law. Intellectually Trudeau is no match for either Philpott or Jody. This he proved today with this little ditty:  https://globalnews.ca/video/5145683/trudeau-defends-libel-lawsuit-threat-against-scheer. This, from the "man?" who has spent weeks lying about SNC. Oh, the irony burns.

The scary thing about all this is how CTV has Trudeau's back through all of this. They're like his Ministry of Propaganda.

They aired a segment the other day about the importance of governmental regulation of social media and they mentioned SNC Lavalin when they were talking about fake news on the internet (CTV complaining about fake news lol). I'm not at all happy that they're equating the SNC Lavalin issue with fake news but anyone dumb enough to believe everything they see on CTV is beyond hope anyways. I should make an ad offering bridges for sale and run it on that channel.

Christie Blatchford: After the way Trudeau treated them, why do they even still want to be Liberals?

" For God’s sakes, why are those other people — the muscled-out and muzzled Jody Wilson-Raybould, the booted and betrayed Jane Philpott, the deeply confused members of Philpott’s riding association in Markham-Stouffville, Ont., — all still proclaiming themselves to be proud Liberals? "

Maybe because they listened to Scheer being interviewed by Rosemary Barton and of course Faith Goldy and decided to stay put.

What are you expecting from CTV? Most of the hosts are middle aged middle class moms. They really dig JT's style. Yesterday, they said JT was only a poor puppet, and all of the problems were caused by his puppeteers. They made him did all the bad things . BTW, one of the hosts told people to go to buy hybrid car instead of complaining the carbon tax  :P

1. So what ?  You don't think a middle-class mom has the ability to form an informed opinion ? Bizarre.

2. So what ?  The hosts don't write their own copy.

3. No they didn't.  WTF.

4. No they didn't.

Television is actually 'new media'.  It was never as good as newspapers.  And fake blogs, meme sites and anonymous youtube channels generated as work-for-hire from eastern Europe is THE worst.  You might as well get your news from those old racist Bugs Bunny cartoons.

When are you two going to come to the realization that this is not a partisan issue? This is neither a Liberal or a Conservative or an NDP problem. This is a Canadian Government problem.

1. Good pt, I don't have data to prove it yet , but you cannot say I am wrong. However, I feel that most "middle class moms" options are "domestic" options.

2. 3. 4.  <= it means that the host will "form and express a judgment of government policies" on air
