Why hasn't America ever experienced a coup and a dictatorship?

Leaders who refused to cooperate with such plans would be picked off by CIA-supported "jackals". Thus the overthrow of Mohammad Mosaddegh in Iran (1953); the Jacobo Árbenz coup in Guatemala (1954); the Salvador Allende coup and murder in Chile (1973); the mysterious airplane explosions that killed Jaime Roldós in Ecuador and Omar Torrijos in Panama (1981); the overthrow and murder of Maurice Bishop in Grenada (1983); the bloody invasion and capture of Manuel Noriega in Panama (1989). Somehow Fidel Castro in Cuba successfully dodged dozens of assassination attempts.

And now Venezuela.

1) You just quoted huffpost lol

2) Some rando is making vague accusations about the US picking off a handful of political adversaries, to thwart the spread of communism (google how many people were killed by communism in the 20th century), and that's reason to compare the US to the Huns, Mongols, Romans, Ottomans, Persians, Nazis, and all the various caliphates that raided India? If your comparison is even accurate, how many people did the US kill (50?) compared to the Persians in 1 year? Seems like they were doing the world a favour if that's the case.

John Perkins: Confessions of an Economic Hitman

He was one of the people doing the dirty work of the USA in taking economic control of countries to take all the profits from their resources.

That's what the USA is doing to Venezuela right now.

And Canada is involved too, because Canadian-registered mining companies want the mining profits from Venezuela.

I guess the oil companies still have you bamboozled into being afraid of "Communists" under your bed. They've made a lot of profits, destroyed a lot of countries and bamboozled a lot of naive people on that lie.

What's your objection to Huff Post?

Must be the factualness - nothing makes a bias sting more I guess.

The sky must be falling then jacee, because foreign-owned companies explore, drill, and refine oil in Canada too.

Where is your proof that USA is taking the oil profits away from Venezuela jacee?

When you make statements like that you need to provide facts, cite sources, etc.

Here's one single huffpost article proving that the overall worth of their reporting is less than zero.

Here's an excerpt:

Quote

as the White House and its supporters smear a woman who makes credible, significant accusations of sexual assault against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

These "credible, significant allegations of sexual assault" don't include a day, a week, a month, or even a year.

They don't name a house, a specific area of a town, they don't name who hosted the party.

She can't find a single person to say that she ever talked to them about it in the recent or distant past. She didn't talk to her mom, her dad, her grandma, her best friend, the police, high-school guidance counsellors, her ex-boyfriends.... no one.

Every single person that she named as a witness said that they had nothing to testify to.

She claimed that she couldn't fly in to testify under oath because she has a fear of flying, yet she has flown multiple times in her life.

The Republicans offered to bring their lie detector and their lawyers so that she could testify in her own city, and that was stated multiple times on various national news outlets "but she never saw or heard of it, and her lawyers never informed her of the offer".

She claimed to have claustrophobia and said that she couldn't stay in a hotel room because it only has 1 exit, but she lived many years in an apartment with 1 way out.

So how can you define her allegations as "credible and significant"? If you can do that then you can claim that my objection to Huffpost is unreasonable.

Which specific article disproves its rating for being factually high is undeserved?  You linked to dozens upon dozens of articles.

I gave you sources and countries you can Google about how the US destabilized them in order to install a regime friendly to US corporate interests. Or read John Perkins book.

Venezuela ... US sanctions to destabilize the country, and Juan Guaido is the US stooge they would like to install. The CIA tried to pull a coup there just this month ... but the people and army of Venezuela were not interested, chased Guaido and his little band of paid off supporters away. So now Trump is really pissed and threatening to send US troops in. First the CIA will likely try again to assassinate Maduro. His (and Chavez') only 'crime' was in nationalizing Venezuela's resources so the profits stay in the country to benefit Venezuelans ... instead of US corporations.

There is no 'communist' threat.

The US is the threat.

Despite all the evils they have done and the coups that they have staged and the evil dictators they have supported.... why hasn't itself suffered through any of those?

I'm talking about coups and dictatorships:

Where hundreds if not thousands die during the coup,

Where after the coup, any political rivals will be murdered along with their families,

Where any activists, journalists, protesters or armed rebels or any who are against the regime in anyway will be murdered along with their families,

Where businesses and properties are plundered by the regime and extreme corruption rules the land,

Where there is only one supreme leader who can do anything he/she wants and can stay in power forever and give this power to his/her heir and the people won't be able to do anything about it, otherwise they will be murdered along with their families.

That kind can of coup and dictatorship.

So, why are other nations susceptible to this but not America despite all of the terrible things it has done?

And why hasn't Canada and the rest of the world staged one for it to avenge those suffered through one?

John Adams surrendered power to Thomas Jefferson.

This is what makes America great.

The peaceful/civilized transfer of State power without someone's death, between opponents.

=====

Some 200 years later, we saw this tradition in evidence when Barack Obama stood beside Donald Trump.

I don't know either, that's why I'm asking.

Isn't it in the nature of dictators to be ruthless especially when the population is rebellious?

For the money.

It's all for corporate profit.

That is why the world must unite to destroy it!

This is something that I've been asking for for so long and nobody out there is listening! The only who ones who do listen are people who under some sort of delusion that it is slowly crumbling when that is not the case!

The only way to guarantee its extinction is if the world united against it, united against it, UNITED AGAINST IT!

What if the US was to turn on your country, jacee?

Sometimes, perhaps America's population just isn't rebellious enough.

Oh enough WestCanMan..... you sound like this person who is under trial and will not plead guilty despite numerous hard evidence that she is indeed guilty.

Are you one of those canucks who have been enriched by it?

NO!

If the world complains about it, if the world hates it, it has to do something about it!

What if the US was to turn on your country, jacee?

What about yours?

Canada is complicit with US takeovers, in the interests of Canadian mining companies.

Mike, define the "US" - or even, "American".

Their current flag has 13 bars and 50 stripes. (Subject to change. Many disagree about the bars - and even stripes.)

====

IMV, America is a place with 50 different states/countries, united under some very basic, simple principles.

Abroad, we always see them as American. And they always describe themselves that way. But in fact, they're not.

Mr. August1991, instead of wasting time here, why don't you warn your rulers about the impending doom that they will soon experience?

I never said that their rating for being factually correct was high. You did. I just proved that they lie.

Now you know.

Get a life Mike. Serious accusations come with a burden of proof.

It’s time to put up or shut up.
