Native inquiry an orgy of progressive guilt-mongering

That's a good thing too, these are all the ingredients you need for the liberal elites to blow themselves up.

Their own media sycophants create a self reinforcing bubble which isolates them from the population.

This is how Trump got elected, this is how the Brexiters won.

It is how Quebexit will win eventually, Vive le Quebec libre! Feed the liberals rope, sit back as they isolate themselves in their media bubble, and let the Pequistes do the rest.

I still think it will require a fiscal crisis,  but, self reinforcing media bubbles are part and parcel of those as well.

Indeed once a fiscal crisis happens, Quebec will be expecting a bailout, and when Canada can't afford to do that, Quebec will bounce.

Australia and New Zealand are propped up by the Chinese.

China’s influence there is recent, 15 years at best.

What gets me is the shameful Television Media we have.  They seem to go along with the results of these inquiries and there is never any contrasting opinions brought forward about the conclusions that were reached and details on how these conclusions were reached.  If one does dare to challenge results like these then you seem to get labelled by the Left.  So much for freedom of speech or thought (all of the things our country in the past had fought for).  Shame on Canada!!!!

What contrasting opinions would you like? The Conservative party has taken to hiding under their desks in terror someone will ask them what the think about the genocide thing. They've clearly been ordered to say nothing which might offend the progressives, especially the ones in media. It reminds me of the old Progressive Conservatives, so desperately apologetic and completely incapable of even trying to defend conservative beliefs or stand up to the Left.

The totalitarian attempts to censor any dissent are entirely driven by fear.

The entrenched leftist establishment is afraid, and they should be, but it is making them irrational.

I welcome it tho, because that irrationality is inciting them to remove all the safety valves which would normally stave off a populist revanchist revolt.

Which will inevitably come, although not until the debt bubble bursts.

People have to lose their homes before they will be enraged enough to react.

You figure an economic collapse will trigger a right wing revolution?

Marx would be laughing his ass off.

It will trigger a revolt against the established order, which is Liberal.

If the left is going to overthrow themselves, that would be convenient, but that is not my expectation.

“The mere presumption of the crime of genocide against Indigenous women and girls in your country should not and cannot leave any room for indifference from the perspective of the Inter-American community and the international community,” Almagro wrote in the letter, dated June 3 and posted on his Twitter account on Tuesday.

“Given that your country has always sided with scrutiny and international investigation in situations where human rights are violated in different countries, I am expecting to receive a favourable response to this request.”

Canadian officials confirmed to Global News they have received the letter and are evaluating it.

But they are not yet saying whether the proposal to create a panel of experts is one they are considering.

“Our government is committed to ending the ongoing national tragedy of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and LGBTQ and two-spirit people,” said Adam Austen, press secretary to Freeland, in an email on Wednesday.

“Canada is a strong supporter of the rules-based international order and the multilateral institutions that underpin it, very much including the OAS, of which we are proud to be an active member. We have received the letter from Secretary General Almagro and will provide a response to this request soon.”

https://globalnews.ca/news/5354323/oas-mmiwg-genocide-report-probe/

This international scrutiny by the OAS should be good for additional millions in reparation payments to victims, survivors and families of Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women and Girls. The question now is, should the OAS conclude genocide did occur, who will be prosecuted in the International Criminal Court?

Agree with much of your post . . .

The one thing that bothers me about Maxime Bernier however is that he couldn't see that he'd be so much more effective in the Conservative cabinet than trying to sway 'the west' as just another politician from Quebec. He could have sandbagged Sheer from within the party . . . Most everyone can see that Scheer just doesn't have the 'royal jelly' that a Maxime Bernier has.

Maxime Bernier had a temper tantrum when he should have been Scheer's stalker from within . . . . bad move Maxime !

Maxine Bernier would have been totally ignored and maybe eventually be booted out of the conservative/liberal party if he stayed in that conservative/liberal party. Maxine is where he should be and he did the right thing. He left the party. He is now able to attack Scheer from his own party w/o the worry of being thrown out of his own the party.

Which are right-wingers - as evidenced by the rich getting richer and the powerful becoming more powerful during their term of office.

Your expectations are based on the way your knees jerk.

The left in Canada is Cultural Marxist, the leftists are the elites, college academics and their student vanguard, public sector unions, environmentalists, etc,  the left in Canada is the wealthy.

The working classes are with us now, because the left has driven them away.

It's not the left of the 19th century, update your files as necessary.

That's not a point, that's a circular logic fallacy.

The point is that the Liberals are not "the left".

This is what happens when progressives get involved. This has put relations back a hundred yrs. This has to be the stupidest thing the left wing has done now. Who does she thinks she is using that word. The problem is with thier own family members and anti women policies on thier land. She needs to apologize to every canadian. And what ever they were paid needs to be returned. I miss harper.

Take a look at the EU elections, elites are getting tossed. Left or right, but mainly left wing.

Who is the left then?   Point them out.

The right sits to the right of whoever is in power.

Union bosses and party hacks in the Soviet Union sat to the right of the premier. A very small handful of people relative to the rest of the population under their thumbs.

I'm to the left of the House of Bourbon and absolute monarchy, the Liberals would be further left then me, the Commune would be the far left.
