I was around to watch that crooked creep Harris sweat on the stand while lying to the judge about Ipperwash.

And I'll be around to watch crooked Ford go down in flames too.

He can't even speak in public without getting booed offstage. "For the people" ??  Lol Anybody who believes that is an idiot. Crooks like Ford steal money from children to give to their rich friends.

Maybe we can agree on something.

Harris was a jackass who sold the 407. I may be conservative, but I don't like sending $40 to some Spanish company that owns the 407.

People are dying on the 401, because of the congestion, and hardly anyone uses the 407.

I don't believe in privatization roads.... Tolls are more expensive than paying taxes.

Paying taxes for roads, is always going to be more efficient, and the only reason government wants to privatize roads, is so they can waste the money somewhere else.

John Tory tried to privatize the Don Valley Parkway.

I'll never vote for a politician who promotes Toll roads.

If you wanna see me vote Liberal... Just try and privatise another highway.... I dare you!

I have my limits.

Doug Ford is not the brightest bulb.  You don't need a college/university degree but you can clearly tell that he doesn't have one because he's not very educated on a lot of issues.  One of his policy priorities has been making beer easier and cheaper to drink.  Books > beer.

So, are you trying to say here that unless Doug does not have a university or college education that Doug is not educated enough to be able to say or do anything on a lot of issues that have to do with politics? Personally, it looks to me like the university or college education that some of our politicians have, the more they show me that they probably just graduated recently from grade three. They may have even bought their degrees. Hey, you never know, eh? Similar incidents occurred not too long ago in America with some American actresses. Most politicians are just a bunch of lapdogs anyway, and are totally clueless about the real problems that are going on in Canada today. Political correctness has a good hold on their gutless tongues. How can anyone have respect for those people anymore? Politics appears to be a game of kiss your leaders butt if you want to get along and stay in politics.

Many of these lapdog politicians get ministerial jobs, but most are totally clueless as to what to do with and in their new jobs. It is their underlings that have to teach them something about their new job, which no doubt they could careless about anyway. After a shake up, they could be giving another ministerial job somewhere's else, and have to be taught and shown what the job is all about. Except for a few people who get into politics. most who do just want to get in politics for the benefits, pensions, salary and most of all, the prestige.

Doug Ford will do just fine for Ontario. Voting in the other alternative, like Wynne, will be a disaster for Ontario once again. No one can be that stupid again, can they?

That's not what i said at all. I specifically said you don't need a college degree to be a good politician, but you do need to be knowledge and smart. He clearly isn't book smart at all.  You need some book smarts and people smarts and experience to run an entire province competently.

And where does Wynne come into play here? Wynne is a gay socialist, and those people appear too really lack book or people smarts. Wynne and her supporters appeared to have a gay and socialist agenda only that no one in Ontario really wanted to have anything to do with. Wynne could not have been very popular in Ontario because she did lose the last election. Probably because she had no book or people smarts. It would appear as though Doug Ford had the books and the people smarts that surely must have got him elected as Premier of Ontario. Where and how did Wynne run Ontario with any kind of experience or competency? What can you point too that would make her appear as though she was experienced or competent enough to run a province with anything? Just asking.

As Ontario keeps going deeper and deeper in debt because of all of the liberal/socialist programs and agendas that the majority of Ontario people ever asked for, there must be cuts or else the province will explode from it's humongous debt that it is carrying. One cannot keep running a province on borrowed money forever. Sometime that debt will have to be paid down or eliminated. The only way to elimiante Ontario's debt is to take an ax to the government. There must big less taxes, less government, bureaucracy, and more freedom to get Ontario back on track. Keep going in debt can only mean more cuts to school programs and education. Mass immigration does not help the situation at all. It makes the problem even worse. Aw well.

I'm in favour of significant cuts in ON.  There's a lot of fat to be trimmed, health care and education would be one of the last things i'd cut, but certain things could be tweaked there.  I was just responding to the false claim he hasn't cut education.

The problem with Canada and Ontario is that there is just way too much government/bureaucracy/rules and regulations interfering in our every day lives. Taxes are killing this country. Crack down and attacks on freedom of speech almost every week thanks to political correctness, and from the appointed leftist liberal activist judges who have and show no love for freedom of speech one bit. And as I said already, immigration is causing plenty of problems with the education and health care system. Tens of thousands more new immigrants on the payrolls of those two mentioned. Doug needs to point this out, but like most Canadian politicians in Canada, they will not to do so. Most of our politicians have become too politically correct. Maybe what is needed is not cuts to education and health care but maybe we should cut back on some of the politicians that we have in Canada. Too many are getting paid for doing absolutely nothing at all, except for maybe creating more havoc and chaos for we the people of Canada. But I will take Ford over Wynne any day. At least with Ford the people in Ontario will not be getting any more socialist programs shoved down their throats. Plenty of taxpayer's tax dollars saved there alright. With conservatives in power, we get a lot less government intruding on our lives. Ford over Wynne works for me. ;)

I have read up on it and it is the wynnes cuts, not ford cuts. And who cares, the teachers are going on strike again. They will never be happy. And it seems it is more money holding things up.

Hmmm ... have you already forgotten Ford being booed by Special Olympics athletes, because he cut educational services for autistic kids?

He still can't speak in public because his cuts are so unpopular in every community, including ridings and people who voted PC.

People do negotiate raises every year or so. That's just life. Nothing to see here.

Well, regular teachers can earn up to 100k in Ontario.  That seems pretty insane to me.  But VP's and principal's don't make a ton more than that.

Almost every dollar spent in Ontario is on health, education and public welfare. You can't avoid making cuts in these areas.

Question. The earlier cuts to class sizes were sold as a way to improve the quality of education. Is there any evidence they did so?

Ontario implemented all day junior kindergarten. It was supposed to be more than expensive babysitting. It was supposed to make for better prepared kids at grade one. Did it? The recommendation for all-day also recommended the province use early childhood educators, not teachers. The teachers unions persuaded the Liberals to use teachers instead, thus massively increasing the cost. Why not go back to the recommended ECEs instead?

Is the salary structure at hospitals appropriate? I remember many years back seeing an ad for cafeteria help at a hospital which paid about three times the minimum wage, far, far above what any similar job would pay in the private sector. The heads of hospitals make more money than the health ministers and the deputy health ministers combined. Why? How many highly expensive administrators are in hospitals and do we need them all?

Speaking of which, why do the heads of universities and the various bureaucrats under them make so much? Why have administrator positions proliferated throughout universities? Why do so many of them earn six figure salaries? Why do we need so many teacher assistants? Why don't professors teach more classes?

There are ways to cut money from health and education without harming health or education.

Contracts end, negotiations begin. Kinda normal, happens all the time. Tell the government to get off its butt and settle instead of making a big stink about nothing.

The bottom line is Ontario spent like idiots with its past Liberal regimes and this current government is stuck trying to salvage run away costs and debts. No oneinheriting the b.s. debts the Liberals set up would be popular. Its easy to feed a fat boy cake which is what the Liberals did. Its another to put the fat boy on a diet while he screams and whines about how unfair it is his cake has been replaced by jello. Ironically a fat boy is the one in charge of Ontario's diet. Kind of ironic but the fact boy is doing what has to be done. No one likes going on a diet. Regards, Oprah Winfrey.

Ford is benefiting from a good economy, caused in part by increased consumer spending due to the increased minimum wage, and resulting increase in corporate tax revenues.

Other than inflating the 'Liberal' deficit by playing with the books, the Ford govt has done little that actually decreased the deficit.

Well, if the politicians would stop wasting taxpayer's tax dollars on tens of thousands of unwanted and unneeded refugees every year by the hundreds of billions they would probably have no problem paying their nurses and teachers more money and better working conditions. I can never resist a chance to throw in what legal and illegal refugees are costing and doing to the Canadian and Ontario economy from all of the tax dollars that those refugees are receiving every year from the taxpayer's of Ontario and Canada. And yet people like yourself and so many others refuse to acknowledge this well known fact. I am calling all of the taxpayer's in Ontario and Canada a bunch of stunned people because they all have this same attitude all the time that legal and illegal refugees is not the problem. I won't even mention as to how much foreign aid is costing the Ontario and Canadian taxpayer's tax dollars every year. Well, maybe just this one time. The last I heard on The Rebel, it was costing Canadians over 6.1 billion in foreign aid every year. But yet, point this out to Canadians, and all I get is a ho hum attitude, or that I am anti-refugee. All this just keeps showing me that most Canadians could careless as to how their tax dollars are being blown. And yet they are the same ones that keep crying about how their poor teachers and nurses are being treated. It's not Doug Ford's fault. It's massive immigration and foreign aid as just two of the problems. Hello out there? Are you all getting it yet?

Personally, I kind of doubt it.

As if Wynne's cronies never got drunk on taxpayer's tax dollars. Liberals and socialists are all alike. They always want to whine and cry and blame the other party in power that they have a problem with and do not like. What? Do you think that people of Ontario are all that stupid here in Ontario land? The liberals and socialists have done more harm to the economy of Ontario, and have blown pretty much hundreds billions of taxpayer's tax dollars from cronyism, and Wynne has given the Ontario people more government, more rules and regulations, more or higher taxes, and took away incentives to want to create thousands of new jobs and employment, and attacks on freedom of speech. Conservatives like Ford will never come anywhere close to what the liberal socialists have done to Ontario. With the liberals and socialists, it is all and only about gay/trans rights, gender pronouns, refugees, climate change and carbon taxes, and not one of them will ever help to make Ontario great. They will not create thousands of new tax creating revenue jobs for Ontario.  They will only make a few special interest minority groups rich.

Those liberal/socialist agendas and programs will only put Ontario deeper in debt, and eventually could bankrupt Ontario. Hopefully, the conservative Doug Ford party will try to lower their influence on the Ontario majority people. Liberalism and socialism are two very sick diseases that need to be eradicated as soon as possible. Works for me. ;)
