I can concede that the remarks to Pelosi are race-baiting. But ultimately their goal is to get GASP!!!! Healthcare for all Americans and to keep children out of cages.

Do you really believe that?  Really?

You'll have to ask him, but I suspect he resents any independently thinking (and empowered) non-white person who would dare challenge his righteous ("moral"), progressive ideology.   "Black folk" are supposed to be beholden and indebted to leftist causes.   How dare they "support" Trump !

Racism is their go-to weapon of choice, except when the tables are turned.   But it is losing its impact, having been diluted and co-opted from its original impact and power so much over the past decade or so.

So he thinks you are in chains symbolically still, intellectually speaking.

It's so figuratively racist, and disgusting.

Yes, but it is a common social and political dynamic in the U.S. because the Democratic party is very dependent on the so called "black vote", and anything that reduces turnout and votes in "urban" cities and counties hurts their election chances.

This is why we see prominent "people of colour" with conservative views on Fox News and social media channels.   Other African American groups have openly challenged the Democrats to earn their vote instead of presuming they have no other choices or ideas.   As in 2016, there is no Obama to save the Democrats in 2020.

Trump did better with Black and Hispanic voters than many want to admit, especially males.

It's still something that makes me uneasy a bit, because where I grew up in Québec, everyone got along very well and racism was not accepted at all. Even in my super white rural neighborhood growing up when I was a child, there was no tolerance for racism at all, some kids would get beat up for that. It's not something you bring up in Québec. You may bring up the other person's language (English vs French) for its lack of cultural assimilation, but race, never.

It's crazy that you have this mentality, and I noticed it when I traveled to Brazil too, this kind of 'race mentality'.

Racism is a fundamental building block in U.S. history and development...it cannot be totally extinguished for lots of reasons, including special interest groups who will never give up on racism as a political weapon.    That's why some of the Democrat candidates are beating the drum about slavery reparations....and identity politics revolving around race.

Racism ideology inflames and enrages on all sides of the spectrum, even when it is used as an obvious ploy from an otherwise weak position.   So called "people of colour" (a racist term) cannot get past this mindset and baggage forced upon them by those who wish to use it for their own agenda.

And yes, there are historical parallels with Brazil that match your description.

At least some of the American Indians are now operating hundreds of casinos across America and are doing quite well and making plenty of money for themselves. Those American Indians are at least not costing the American taxpayers as much as the Canadian Indians are costing Canadians taxpayer's. The Indians in America have realized that they can make plenty of money if they go and create new jobs for themselves like opening up casinos. "Whataboutism" that?

FN run Casinos in Canada. Ever heard of Casino Rama?

You are engaging with a troll army unlike any other.  The Trumpists are second only to Soviets in double think.

They even brainwash black people to be racist against their own people.

That's a disgusting claim to make.

Black people have an independent mind of their own, even if you think they are that inferior.

Racist garbage.

I still haven't seen an apology from the hate-filled race baiters for misrepresenting the story about the "calming feeling" quote. Even when faced with citations that show the full context. They cling to their lies like they do their guns.

Those hysterical women are Trump's best campaign-assets in next year's election. He can always say that if the Democratic candidate, whoever he is going to be, wins he just might include some of those women, or all of them, in his cabinet.

Because she is LYING about the situation. Claiming Haj Amin al-Husseini & crew were the Jew's saviors is pure fantasy. No apology needed.

Canadians, once again I ask you this question, if you have such a huge problem with the US, let it go. Find other nations and form alliances and new trade treaties with them. Find nations that share your values and I'm sure there are plenty especially over at Europe. There are 193 other nations out there. You are part of the commonwealth aren't you? Try finding finding nations there. Let them go and free yourselves of this frustration. And if your excuse is your government won't allow it: have you tried using your votes? Have you tried running for politics so that your voice can be heard and hopefully will be followed?

Also, Canadians, it is not your place to tell the Americans what to do. They elected a racist? They elected a misogynists? So what? It is their president after all. Why do you feel like you have the right to dictate to them? If your argument is because they do the same thing, well, two wrongs do not make a right and you are always free to stop them but Canadians, don't be hypocrites because you only end up making yourselves worse than what you claim them to be.

If you are worried them falling apart may effect you, like I said you are free to find other nations that will help you. Do it now so you won't feel worried anymore.

Stop going back to them only to end up beating a dead horse. They don't care. They are not listening. They are not hurting. At the end of the day, you and only you are hurting yourselves. Hating can cause a lot of bad health effects you know.

If you are unable to achieve any of this and unable to accept Trump as president of the USA then democracy in your country has failed because I thought democracy isn't about who you like but rather who the majority likes.

No doubt that casino was built with the help of the Canadian taxpayer's tax dollars. How else would they have been able to open up a casino?  Opening up a casino does not come cheap these days. And we all should know by now as to where the native Indians got that money from to open up a casino. Me, a taxpayer for one. :( . Just saying.

If the democrats or the alt-left liberals here can show me as to where Trump has ever said a real racist derogatory word in any of his speeches anywhere, please show it to me. Otherwise, those promoting racists alt-left democrats and their lap dog American liberal press should just shut the hell up, and that goes for the alt-left liberals and the leftist media here in Canada. Give me the beef or dry up.

Many new jobs have been created, and markets are way up, and Black and Hispanic employment has been on the rise in America. But all the lefties in America and Canada still can't seem to get it and still can't stop using the "racist" word. The word "racist" and "impeachment" is all they seem to have left to try and use against Trump. Not working very well. I will bet that when those lefties have their alphabet cereal in the morning they always spell the word racist and impeachment out. Hey, you never know, eh? They really do love that word "racist" and "impeachment", don't they? Somehow using or saying the word "racist" or "impeachment" all the time appears to be them trying to make their day feel great and worthwhile living for.

Whether or not her ancestors actually provided safe haven to the Jews, it's dishonest and horrible to try to twist those words to suggest she said she got a "calming feeling" from the Holocaust suffering. It was clear she didn't say or mean that. You'd think you would condemn such outright irresponsible lying just because it makes your side look pathetic.

But I guess that doesn't bother you anymore.

Right, she should apologize.   interesting piece here

the curious case of Omar

In four intensely reported investigative columns — here (August 13, 2018), here (October 23, 2018), here (October 30, 2018), and here (November 5, 2018), — David Steinberg has explored the evidence suggesting that Ilhan Omar entered into a sham marriage with her brother in 2009. This is his fifth. He titles it “Meet Leila Elmi: The Missing Link Showing Ilhan Omar Married Her Brother.” Drawing on his research, interviews, and social media evidence he makes the case that Omar has engaged in a variety of fraudulent activities and willful misrepresentations related to her marital arrangements. He writes:

How on earth has Ilhan Omar even been elected to the HOR?. Minnesota, I know, but even considering Minnesota that doesn't make any sense.

She'll never apologize. But her rewriting of history to make Haj Amin al-Husseini the Jew's savior is just like saying Adolf Eichmann was the Jew's savior.

She got a calming feeling from expressing the lie that the Mufti was the Jew's savior...you're free to support her in this lie. It doesn't change the actual history of the Palestinian Cause and it's deep involvement with the Third Reich and the Final Solution.
