Is China actually a Fascist regime?

Who cares, in every case its still a handful of innies vs a vast ocean of outies. Progressives generally chafe under the thumbs of the innies and conservatives usually have their tongues up their butts.

IOW commie governments surround themselves with lickspittles and buttsniffs too and for the very same reason.

Exactly my point.  It is greed that drives corruption, not political ideology

Then why are some political ideologies more corrupt than others? Why are the capitalist nations significantly less corrupt than the communist nations?

I don't think you have a clue what we're talking about myself.

It is greed that drives corruption, not political ideology

It's power that enables corruption, it's buttsniffs that protect power and we've established that buttsniffs are usually conservative.

The most important thing to understand about Communism is that it is aspirational.

Communism is an end state, a Post Scarcity Utopia that will be achieved at some point in the future.

There is no Communism at hand now, even in a Communist country, the Communists have an objective end state called Communism : someday.

In the case of Xi Jinping, he has adopted the classic Stalinist position.

Stalin called it Socialism In One Country.    It is a practical alternative to the idealistic yet naive World Socialist Revolution.

Thus whatever methods the Chinese are using in the interim to seek world domination, Communism remains their utopian objective.

Thus they are indeed Communists, they have simply retrenched into the Stalinist version of.

Because in the capitalist nations, the skill at hiding corruption is better.  But, it is there, in spades.

No, it's because there is less corruption. It still exists, but to a much smaller degree. Your attempt at a false equivalency between capitalism and communism being equally corrupt is pathetic.

Attempts to wipe out corruption are folly.   You can't have a free country which is free of crime.

Corruption is not the threat it is made out to be by the self righteous, the greatest countries in the world have always had plenty of corruption.

When was the West free of corruption ? Never was.   There is slack in the system, it's called freedom.

The idea that things are more corrupt now is nonsense, the problem is not corruption but rather totalitarians promising to rid us of it.

A pox on all reformers, do gooderism is a pestilence.

Posting on the run, but let me throw a few fast ones over the plate.   Ever heard of that social club they call the Mafia?  Flourishes in North America.  There's another fine group of boys called "Hell's Angels", then there is those pesky drug cartels.  But wait:  I am sure you agree the cartels are corrupt (and can only exist with some "inside" help) but what about the whole drug industry that teaches quacks to peddle lies for them?  Don't think that isn't corruption?  Or how about Wall Street?  Every piece of legislation passed after 1929 to keep them in check has now been repealed and the Street has set off on a multi TRILLION dollar orgy of greed with derivatives that crashed hard.  Repeat of 29?  No?  Trillions of dollars of bailout?  Uh YEAH!  That my young friend is corruption at work in the very heart of the capitalist system.

Don't even get me started on what happens behind the scenes with US DoD contracts (a topic which I am familiar on a first hand basis).  Of course, SNC Lavalin up here is just a nice bunch of engineers who are as honest as the day is long.  Quadafi kids were nice guys they just decided to help out of the goodness of their hearts.  When politician pork barrel, THAT is corruption - and is what most government spending undergoes - and now in North America we are talking about trillions a year, each year, every year.  And on, and on, and ON it goes.  I/we also spent years working with illegal farm foreclosures in SK.  Yeah, our courts were the scene of that corrupt behaviour - practiced by EVERY chartered bank in Canada.  One of our band of merry shit disturbers even managed to penetrate an offshore meeting where a major international energy player was asking him to put a few million into a bank accouint in Kiev for one of our former premiers.

I have been there, seen it up close and managed to do my bit put some TINY percentage of the players in jail.  But in doing so, I/we have seen first hand the extent of corruption in crown corporations, government agencies, political party backrooms, etc.  Involved in a MAJOR case in USA now, and all about corruption ("Deep State" players in current lingo).

and ignorance is bliss.

I never said that corruption doesn't exist in capitalist nations though, I just pointed out that runs far more rampant in Communist nations. You're the ignorant one, tunnel visioning only on the corruption issues in capitalist nations so you can pretend the west is just as corrupt as the commies. Pointing out problems in capitalist nations is no proof of corruption being just as bad in capitalist nations as they are in communist nations, and that is the entire basis of your half baked argument where you only looked at one side of the equation so you can create a false equivalency.

All the problems you mentioned are worse under communism than capitalism, yet you want to pretend it's all the same level of corruption. Organized crime, pork barreling, and the government bailing out failing sectors of the economy, are hardly unique to capitalist nations. If you think corruption is bad in capitalist nations, try taking a look at communist nations, the only reason you can convince yourself capitalism is just as corrupt is because you only look at their problems and ignore the far bigger issues in communist nations.

The media has been subsidized by the Liberal Party of Canada, it is the Liberal Party media arm, whether you are too blind to see it or not.

Canada has no free speech, and never did, before or after the twitter mobs. Just because all speech hasn't been banned yet doesn't mean we have free speech dude, your standards are way too low.

We have no property rights, the Crown owns the land, we merely freehold it for them, you can't actually buy it.

The West being more individualistic doesn't make them big on individualism.

The North is not big on individualism it has become so dependent on federal government handouts to the point that many Canadians use the plight of the indigenous in the north as justification for Confederation to continue, so Ottawa continue bribing them into staying because they are too poor to go it alone. Me and Smitty call them Eskimo Communists.

Fugazi Country. You cling to something that never actually existed, except in the minds of the rubes. This "nation" deserved to eulogized long ago, right from it's shotgun marriage inception.

All the media is being subsidized by the Liberal Party of Canada...

What kind of conspiracy theory is this?

What you might mean is that the owners of media outlets are major donors to and lobby the Liberal Party... much like in the USA.

No free speech.... never did... hyperbole anyone?

No property rights... the Crown owns all the land... so the Crown owns your home and business?

I guess you're not a "jellyfish"....you're a hysteric living in a fantasy land... smoking whatever it is you are smoking.

You and Dougie want your fantasy because it keeps thing nice clean..... no nuance just good and evil at war....

Don't let me mess up your fantasy land.

$600 million bribe of the media, before the 2019 election. Not a conspiracy theory, the media even openly admits to it. Guess you missed that one.

The Crown owns the land your home and business are on. Are you unaware of this?

You are the one living in a fantasy land Dr. Y, this Fugazi Country is not worth clinging to.

Indeed. If you want to swear fealty to this loonie leftist Post National totalitarian state, knock yourself out, just don't demand we follow suit, and there is no problem.

Furthermore, I nothing against Ontario : Canada is simply another word for Confederation, it's not even a country, it's just an agreement, which can be annulled, by its own law

The Clarity Act provides. Once Confederation is done away with, The Canada's will be far better off. Confederation is the anchor of a shotgun marriage that is weighing us all down. The provinces will be closer together as their own separate nations than they ever will be being forced into being a Fugazi Country.

Let The Americans In, Let Quebec Out, and Let The Indians Up > Keep The Americans Out, Keep Quebec In, and Keep The Indians Down.

Let go off this ridiculous Confederation, you'll feel a lot better afterwards, like a weight of shoulders.

And hey, I was all for that Postwar Canadian Nationalism thing back in the day.

But it didn't work out.  Failure to launch.  That's all gone now, instead we have a Post National State run by Orwellian Sunny Ways.

Even if you're still a Canadian Nationalist, then I don't see how one could  abide this loonie leftist Anti-Canadian abomination neither.

Well I'm also getting old, I waited half a century for Canada to put its big boy pants on, and it simply never has.  It's more infantilized than ever and getting more so not less.

With me it was age so much.

The American Religion was my salvation, God Bless America.

Flight to Quality. It was the Light of Civilization itself that helped me to see the light.

Well I raised with the American religion, but it wasn't in conflict at the time, my father was an American who became a Canadian Nationalist, it wasn't mutually exclusive then.

This is politics as it ever was... and as you can see the CBC itself reported this political strategy.... so that puts a bit of a pin in your theory.

As for Crown land this is part of our British heritage... this is a feature not a bug of our history and it has worked pretty well for the most part.

From the Wikipedia article on "land ownership in Canada":

Quote

Still Canada has one of the world's highest rates of home ownership, which actually increased during the economic boom of the mid 2000s. In 2008, of the 12.4 million households in Canada, more than 8.5 million, over two-thirds (68.4%) owned their home, the highest rate since 1971

Go on with your "Post National Totalitarian State" = the Evil Empire LARPing... with you as the plucky "resistance"... it's entertaining for us all.

No it doesn't. It confirms my theory. The press is bought and paid for by the Liberal Party of Canada, on the face of it. Your free speech rights don't exist the Notwithstanding Clause overrides them.

It's still not actual property rights, not like in America. In America you can actually own the land, not just freehold it for the sovereign, because you are the sovereign.
