Trudeau is now revealed a racist too?

Recommended Posts

Have any actual minorities expressed outrage at this terrible terrible scandal or is it, as usually, white middle-class leftists and champagne-socialists virtue signalling? If Trudeau wasn't such a hypocrite I'd almost feel sorry for him about this witch-hunt.

It almost always is.  The fun bit is that Trudeau was their king.

There’s always the Trump response, or should I say the American response: deny and lawyer up.

Not applicable here...Trump the American never claimed to be the paragon of virtue signaling...quite the opposite.

Two problematic approaches.  Trump is blatantly belligerent.  Trudeau is the gentleman, but he’s hypocritical.  Trump still probably trumps Trudeau on hypocrisy when it comes to personal immorality versus his pro-evangelical rhetoric.

The pair of them are cartoonish and ridiculously incompatible.

But Trump has no such pretense...he is the bastard who still won, now famously and correctly determining that Justin Trudeau is "very weak and dishonest".

Trudeau created his own trap...then fell right into it.

For all the foibles of both of them, I can see them both getting re-elected.  I certainly don’t find JT more ridiculous than Trump.

Again, this is not about Trump or his foibles.

And if Trudeau wins in October, so be it....no skin off my nose.   Canada's choice.

...but you will still worry about Trump, right ?

Oh you’ll have plenty to say about JT too...

But never how to go about making that choice, something you feel free to do about American politics.

Trudeau is what he is...some of us around the world recognized that much earlier than others.

BC2004, everyone knows your politics.  You’re Republican.  Don’t try to play non-partisan, even on Canadian politics.

Here’s something more to chew on.  It seems Trudeau displayed histrionics for the right too, including Faith Goldy.  On Trudeau as Captain  Morgan:

Nope...have never been a Republican...have voted for many different U.S. parties including independents.   I was on the local Ross Perot campaign team in 1992...we did very well in that election.

But the point here is that Trudeau is your prime minister and Liberal party leader, and I have never posted in this forum that Conservative leader Scheer or any other party should prevail in this or any other Canadian election, or how that election's outcome should be determined.   That is Canada's choice.

If Canada want's to elect racist Justin Trudeau to another term, then go for it.

I don’t care if you weigh in on Canadian politics.

Good to know, but you are very late to this cross-border game.

It's not my place to tell Canadians who/how to elect office holders, but it is delightful fun to blow back all the sanctimonious posturing your way, especially now with Trudeau's virtue signaling tits in the wringer...big time.

I don’t identify with JT, Trump or anyone on those political scenes, US, Canadian, British or otherwise .  They’re too akin to circus performers.

Riiiight....you are above all that...meanwhile, the rest of us have to live in the real world.

I suppose that is one way to deal with it.

This "September surprise" raises fascinating questions about party leader and election resignation protocols in Canada, for which there are no obvious answers.   Apparently the possibility has never happened before absent death.

Exactly.  Don’t you love how every time Trudeau does something wrong, the discussion ends up being about somebody else?  First it was the ethics violation, handed down by the ethics commissioner.  Yet most of the discussion ended up being about Harper.  Now Trudeau dons black face, and it’s all about Trump.  It’s absurd.

Trudeau can relax...now that a Green Party candidate has admitted to a Newfoundland comedy show that aired on CBC with lots of "brownface" as a makeup requirement.

Quote

Greg Malone says he called the Green Party shortly after Trudeau's pictures surfaced to share that he painted his face brown and portrayed Mahatma Gandhi in a sketch while on CODCO, which ran on CBC Television in the late 1980's and early 1990's.

How much more will come out ?   Declare one week for blackface/brownface amnesty and CBC complicity !

I often disagree with Coyne, but in this column his response is almost the same as my own feelings. It isn't that Trudeau is revealed as a racist, but more that his sanctimonious hypocrisy is laid bare for all to see.

Perhaps the most damning thing that can be said is that, when the prime minister claims he was unaware, as a 29-year-old teacher in 2001, that dressing up as a member of a racial minority was offensive — that, in fact, it did not dawn on him until after he was elected as an MP, in 2008 — most of us believe him. It is difficult to believe he could be that racist, but it is all too easy to believe he could be that clueless.

Even so, the photos and video are disturbing, quite apart from their offensiveness. It requires more than mere ignorance or insensitivity to dress the part with such care, even to the point of blackening the parts of his body his clothes concealed, or with such enthusiasm. His delight in blackface appears to be of a piece with other aspects of his behaviour, such as his party trick of falling down stairs, and to stem from the same psychological wellsprings: the vanity, the insatiable desire for attention, the showy theatricality.

Hi TSS and you know I love your posts so this is just debate. The so called WHITE middle class leftists and champagne socialists support Trudeau and are apologizing for him.

Who do you think his constituents are? As for you adding the word WHITE, he has plenty of middle class leftist champagne socialist supporters who are not "white" and in fact he panders to anyone thing that moves that is not white if you are going to use racial references, so I am not sure what you are getting at throwing in the white remark.

Jagmeet Singh  is NOT white but he sure as hell is another middle class leftist and champagne socialist  wile we are at it. Mr. Singh like Trudeau has never worked, He got his law degree then used his ethnicity and connections in his community to get elected provincially. He claims to fight racism but he has no problem using his race card to get elected. Its life. Now Jagmeet makes a heart felt speech about how hurtful Trudeau was but this is the same Jagmeet who remains completely silent about Bill 21 in Quebec which directly discriminates against any visible minority-suddenly he knows when to not play the race card. As far as I am concerned Singh and Trudeau are both full of it.

This is not about skin colour. Its about people claiming to be superior to others and then being shown to be no better than the people they claim to be superior to.  Its also about people using the race card when its convenient.

Blaming or stereotyping people fo how they react to  the stupid actions of Trudeau is immaterial to the implications of what he did. Anyone who did what Trudeau did running for public office let alone seeking any kind of job would be fired. The fact he proclaimed Tory candidates to be racists for past comments when he did what he did makes him a hypocrite of the worst kind. This repeats his sense of privilege where he called out the Tory government he defeated as unethical over Mike Duffy and then in less than 3 years has violated every basic precept of ethical behaviour there is including accepting vacations, interfering in the legal process for politically partisan reasons and allowing his Finance Minister to engage in insider trading to sell shares of Morneau's company before a new law cut into the value of the shares.

You feel sorry for Trudeau? Why?. Trudeau is a spoiled, sheltered, two faced, hypocrite, period. He is a silver spoon posing as a man of the people and once again his pants fell down and we see the same short comings again and again. There is nothing to feel sorry for. In fact feeling sorry for him if we must use the stereotype is something probably a champagne drinking socialist would do since they were at the same gathering as him where he needed to go to hell with his Mr. Dressup Routine.

Still is. He's admitted no guilt. It wasn't HIS fault. He was a victim of his privilege! Thus it's society's fault.

The lefties are eating that stuff up and cheering for more.
