Kenney Picks Fight with Ottawa to Make Himself Look Good

No more running to Ottawa with threats of pipelines and no more leverage to build those pipelines.  Nice!

Well, I can now see why the NDP socialists are in power here in BC with talk like that. At least in Alberta, they have private vehicle insurance, gas prices are lower, and I believe that beer and wine can be sold in grocery stores which I have been waiting to see happen for decades here in BC. BC has become the home for leftist liberals and socialists NDP, and full of Green party environmental crazy people. Drop a piece of napkin on the ground and these crazy people will go nuts on you as I found out one day not too long ago.

Albertan's bring plenty of money to the Okanagan Valley here in BC. What are you going to do if Alberta should separate? Try and destroy the economy of the people living in the Okanagan Valley by stopping them from coming to BC?

Canada needs more oil pipelines, and not less. But thanks to those crazy enviros, and some native Indian bands, living in BC, if they had their way, they would have us all driving around in Fred Flintstone type wooden vehicles. I want more free enterprise, and not less. Canada needs a real and true leader who will get out of the way of progress and thousands of newly created jobs. Liberalism and socialism will never solve and get rid of unemployment but will only keep adding to it. But if Alberta goes, well good luck to them. Kenney is really now stuck between a rock and a hard place to sleep on. ;)

What Canada?  I do not need more pipelines, wildlife do not need pipelines, our environment does not need pipelines.  I do not need China to make another 5 billion babies so Canada can build more pipelines to supply them with oil.

Nice we have some environmentally cautious groups in BC.  But they must be even stronger and opposition to the wide spread destruction even greater!

It is the department of Immigration and Citizenship adding to the number of unemployed by 300,000 to 500,000 people a year under any political leadership! Get your facts straight!  Once they bring those people in, then comes the "Creating jobs for Canadians" propaganda to start building mines and pipelines!

Where in the Okanagan are you?  Kelowna?  I hear the place has turned into a zoo over the past 10 years.   Kamloops is growing like another tumor too.

1. How is Canada supposed to keep shipping more oil if it does not have more pipelines? Quebec does not want Alberta oil, but has no problem getting it's oil from America or Saudi Arabia. Why? I know why? They hate Canada, and they especially hate Alberta, a province that has been propping up their "separatist' governments for decades now. If Alberta goes this country is finished. Quebec will lose and will not be able to steal money from the people of Alberta anymore. Works for me.

2. They are not real environmental groups in BC. They are noting more than a bunch of eco terrorists groups who are forever and always against progress and jobs in BC, and who are quite clueless about how the world works. Those eco terrorists groups are now taken their orders from some native Indian tribes that are against everything that ahs to do with progress and new jobs. If there is any destruction going on against the environment, well, I guess that you have never given one thought to the fact that mass 3rd world immigration may have something to do with it, eh? Think about that for awhile, will you, and get back to me?

3. Immigration "IS  the problem in Canada. The more immigration, the more damage that will be done to the country. Everything is going for a chit these days, thanks to our politically correct bunch of buffoons in Ottawa who keep allowing and bringing into Canada almost four hundred thousand new legal and illegal immigrants into Canada every year. Where are the environmentalists on this one? Why are they being so quiet on immigration, when they must know by now, unless they are all totally stupid, that more immigrants means more assault on their precious environment, and on our wild animal population living in the wilderness?

I would sure like to know as to where Kenney stands on immigration? He is probably like the rest of our clueless politicians in Canada land where they all must be saying these days, what immigration problem are you talking about? Kenney and Trudeau will never bring down unemployment as long as they keep bringing in hundreds of thousands of legal and illegal so called refugees into Canada. As a matter of fact, I am pretty sure that they are wanting even more new immigrants to be brought into Canada. Crazy bunch of fools.

Yeah, they need some of the deep ocean drilling rigs in Alberta.

What percentage of our exports do you think come from oil, what % come from subsidized industries like automobiles, and what % come from highly-subsidized industries like aviation?

Aside from oil & related products, Alberta and Saskatchewan also ship out a big percentage of the coal, wheat, canola oil, pork, beef, etc that come from this country.

Look around your home and in your fridge and your garage and see what percentage of the electronics you buy, the produce that you eat, and the cars that you and the other people around you drive come from other countries.

How do you intend to convince other countries to send those things to Canada for our Canadian dollars when we get rid of such a large percentage of our exports?

You don't have a plan cougar. You have bitterness. It's not a formula for success.

Whatever the percentage, it is something we can always change.    You had a government that exported skilled jobs to Asia and left only service and resource industry jobs.  This left us at the manufacturing mercy of Asia.

If we all have a much better quality of life than they do this way, OK.  But I am afraid this is not the case.  All we have done is degrade the wage base for our own citizens and push them further into debt.

You can call me what you want.  I have no problem with that - opinions of people I do not value are of little concern to me.

The min wage in China is less than $200 USD/month. In Shanghai it's $3/hr (USD). What are we ever going to manufacture here at a price that will compete with the cost of making the same things in China, where they have over 1.3 billion people?

That's just one Asian country. There is another Asian country with over a billion and several with over $100M. Manufacturing here is never going to make us a global force.

How much you value me is of no consequence, but you should think a bit more before you post things like this.

With the $200/month apparently they are still able to live and make it to the next day.  Not only that but they manage to feed 3 or 4 or 5 kids to make their population grow.

In Canada you will not be able to do that with $2,000/month.

This should make you think that something is not quite right.

Sheesh. To be honest I am both, Point well taken. Why do we always cloak this debate in extremes and see no middle ground...  we can find a way to balance environmental concerns with financial ones when constructing pipelines or ship.  Next, instead of whining about dependency on oil, we Canadians need get off our oil addicted asses and invest in solar and other forms of energy. Across the world as we speak, solar energy is making huge strides. How about we aid industry develop  solar and alternative energy in Canada instead of using air pollution or global warming as an excuse to hike taxes to spend on non alternative energy  government spending of uneeded prorgrams and servces, Give business tax incenstives to  replace the oil industry instead of doing nothing but whining and taxing We environmentally concerned people have to get economically active in investing in alternative forms of energy, not just whining and thinking the current government will use the taxes it is charging on oil to help the environment or find energy alternatives. They most certainly are not.

I'm not against developing other technologies at all. Being on the leading edge of technology is important. It's also important to note that at the present time things like solar panels and wind farms aren't at the point of being net contributors to the energy situation when you consider the whole process from creation, energy output, and recycling.

Where I differ from some of the people here is that I'm a realist, and I understand that oil is still a hot commodity. Countries are still raking in hundreds of billions of dollars from it, and it's completely incomprehensible that we follow the Trudeauian/eyeball/cougar/EMay/Thunberg approach and just kill our cash cow while every other nation on earth is milking it for all it's worth. None of these people have a clue what kind of difference that will make to our standard of living.

Our country still imports oil from the middle east. It comes through our pristine tidewater, which Alberta oil is not allowed to sail out on because geniuses like E May will have a fit, and then it goes through pipelines, which again, is too much to ask for Alberta oil.

All the provinces want a share of the cash, they only want enough pipelines to make themselves happy, they're happy to buy Saudi oil at the Trudeau family's gas stations, and then all those morons are going to pile on big, bad Alberta for producing oil. LMAO. I swear it should be mandatory for people to have an iq of at least 100 in order to vote.

I have found that liberals and socialists are truly an exercise in futility. Their lack of common sense and logic appears to be quite obviously missing with just about all of them. They will not let real facts ever get in their way. What their politicians and the Canadian MSM tell them they will believe and adhere too no matter what. To do otherwise one has to be a right wing terrorist. Any of their plans that they come up with will always end up making a problem worse rather than better. They appear to be quite clueless people. Just my offending opinion of course.  ;)

What Canada needs are politicians who really and truly do give a dam about Canada. So far, none have come forward yet, other than Maxine Bernier. But most Canadians pretty much where he can go with his real and true conservative ideas and plans for Canada. I am afraid to have to say this but I now believe that Canada and many of it's people have truly become and always  will be voting for and keep putting in liberals and socialists. And with all of those new immigrants and refugees being brought to Canada, it is almost sure that the ilk of liberalism and socialism will be here forever. Controlled leftist free enterprise, more government, more taxes, more foreign immigration cultures, and less freedom have just about delivered the final blow to life and liberty in Canada. I can tell you that your values and opinions are of little concern to me also. They appear to be the problem, and not the solution. :D

Exactly.

Leftists here can't stand the thought that we can't afford mass immigration of refugees, or the thought that they might not have a great standard of living upon arrival, but all of a sudden there's something wrong if we can't live with 24 people per 3 bedroom unit. If I said that refugees should live with 24 people per condo I'd be crucified here, but now we're all supposed to live like that? And why?

Dems in the states are just as stupid.

Why do you always try to offend other Canadians with whom you disagree with? Those so called white "right wing supremacists" that you have called the people of Alberta for being pro Wexit are just your regular hard working ordinary Albertan's who are fed up with getting ripped off by the french controlled Ottawa and Quebec who has been stealing tax dollars from Albertan's ever since old man Trudeau came along in 1980. Trudeau despises Alberta. The separatist leader in Quebec despises Alberta, and when Albertan's react to those two misfits, they somehow are to be seen as a bunch white "right wing supremacists".  Why did you call them those three words anyway? Care to comment? Probably not.

I am offended by those three words, and I am allowed to be offended by your words that I read which I found to be very offensive because I now live in a country that I like to call Offended Canada, and where I am now allowed to be offended by whatever I want to be offended by. I guess that deep down in most of Alberta's liberal and NDP people's minds is that all conservatives in Alberta are nothing more than a bunch of "right wing supremacists". I guess Kenney being a conservative must also be seen as one of those "right wing supremacists". Ottawa and Quebec will always despise Alberta no matter what they do to try and appease Quebec or Ottawa.

The Wexit people will not be begging the UN for help because the UN globalists do not believe in any province or state or country trying to leave the globalists plan for a one world order, with no country allowed to have any borders anywhere in the world. But the Wexit people can use those UN words to help their case. The globalists are definitely against Brexit so why would they want to help with a Wexit? The UN has never solved any crisis in the world. Why would the Wexit people really want their help anyway? The UN would probably f it all up for them to be able to separate. The UN criteria might contain words that says that Alberta could not separate. Hey, you never know, eh? The UN globalists are a bloody big time joke anyway. Get rid of the UN, ans save plenty of tax dollars. Why not? Works for me. ;)

Canada pretty much has already signed away Canada's right to limit refugees coming to Canada. Canada has already signed onto the the United Nations Global Program for refugees, and pretty much Canada has to take in so many refugees every year. There is supposed to be hundreds of millions of refugees in the world, and Canada is going to get it's massive fair share of taking in as many as Canada can. Liberalism and socialism and communism at work and using your tax dollars to pay for all of those refugees coming to Canada. Your tax dollars at work here in Canada. Canada gave away it's right to do as it pleases anymore. Canada must have the United Nations blessing on just about everything before Canada can do anything. Canada already pretty much belongs to the United Nations globalists. There will never be any nationalism allowed in Canada ever. Only Canadian nationalism can save Canada now.

All I can say is to get ready for millions more new refugees coming to Canada in the next three years. At least that is the plan of Trudeau and his Somali immigration minister who have plans of bringing in another one million refugees in the next three years. Today, 24 living in a condo will be seen as nothing in another three years. Probably we will be seeing 33 people trying to live in a condo, lol,  unless they can try and kick out some Canadians who are already living in their condos or apartments and hand them over to the refugees. Apparently, this has already happened in Canada. If a landlord sees being able to make plenty of money in this, it will happen. Frightning thought indeed, eh?
