Bloomberg

Bloomberg is too old and so is Trump and Biden. They need to go to an old age home and fight it out. Old is good but not when you have no stamina to back it up. The 3 of them are gum sucking droolers.

And yet, Donald Trump is President of the United States, and the best Michael Bloomberg managed politically is city mayor.   Bloomberg has plenty of dirt to uncover, and you can be damn sure the other Democrats will dig it up if Trump doesn't.

And Donald Trump is miserable, resentful, and bitter, and is the most hated man in America. He will probably finish his life broke from all the lawsuits and investigations into his behaviour, both business and political, if not in prison.

Ergo....Trump does not sign any bill placed in front of him.

Thanks for playing.

The bill didn't come from McConnell.

Poor Trump...hated so much he fills venues wherever he goes, after thousands stand in line to get in.

...and he still won't save you from the Russians.

Why are you worried about that, too.   So much worrying in canada...oh my !

Trump could very well be re-elected, and there is nothing canada can do about it....again.

Notice how this Bloomberg thread has pivoted to Trump...because Trump dominates the psyche north of the border.

So you have little to offer about Bloomberg, but always have plenty about Trump.

That's because Bloomberg doesn't dominate media like Trump does...in Canada.

That's because Bloomberg is smart enough to stay out of the spotlight and not get caught up in stupid scandals or declare bankruptcy six times.

And he wasn't handed his fortune like trump.

More like...port Bloomberg TV to Canada.    Because that's what American media does.

Bloomberg L.P. still owns it, and Michael Bloomberg is majority owner.

Perhaps I could explain to you my understanding of how this administration works. Trump 'works' perhaps an hour and a half to two hours a day'. This consists of public appearances, things like greeting visiting sports teams or giving medals to soldiers or a meeting foreign dignitary. That is basically all Trump does, other than yelling at his staff whenever they say or do something that irritates him.

I'm reminded of what Lyndsey Graham said once. He was being interviewed as a possible vice presidential running mate to Trump and was told he would be in charge of foreign and domestic policy. When he asked wth Trump would be doing he was told "He'll be in charge of making America great again".

Mike Pence is basically running the shop. If there's a report to be read, Pence reads it because Trump doesn't like to read anything that isn't about him. The intelligence people brief Pence, not Trump, because Trump isn't interested. If there's an important meeting, Pence runs it because Trump couldn't be bothered. If there are administrative decisions to be made, Pence makes them. The only time Trump interjects is when he sees something on TV and decides to tweet out a sudden policy change (which takes everyone in the White House by surprise).

Trump watches TV and plays on his phone and golfs and slurps coke. That's about it for him.

And just as detractors had warned, all this did was result in more stock-buybacks and dividend payments to owners. It did not result in an upsurge of economic activity, any more than the tax cut did.

Trump understands business no more than he understands government, economics, intelligence, diplomacy or the military. Policies, regulations and government behaviour are all directed and overseen by Mike Pence.

Oh? How?

It did not 'take off'. The economy has been on a steady, upward trajectory since 2009.

WTH Argus? That's just a whole page of bogus CNN talking points that, if you even thought about it for a second, you'd know that they're all moronic. According to them the US is in a recession now.

For starters, it's impossible to bring $400 Billion extra back into the country and not create work. People don't just put all that money into their bank accounts and watch it gain interest. People buy cars, houses, build pools, go to dinners, etc and it all expands the economy. Whatever they spend on stocks is good for the economy too.

Of course the tax cuts resulted in increased economic activity. People only save about 1% of what they earn. Almost all of that money went back into circulation.

The economy did take off. The Dow Jones was as high as 14,066 under GW Bush. Under Obama it got to 18,000 by Dec 1 2014 and it was still at 17,888 when Trump was elected. That's a 2 yr flatline at the end of Obama's presidency - ie it wasn't growing anymore. It's up by 10,000 points now. It's 50% higher than it has ever been. And this is happening while Trump is taking on China on trade. Obama wouldn't stand up to China in 20,000 years.

If Trump only works an hour a day, as you claim, he's doing awesome. If Trudeau would stay on vacations, at the rate of $50,000 per week, we'd be further ahead.

Micheal Bloomberg has zero faith in the current gaggle of Democratic presidential candidates....pushes the panic button...will spend "whatever it takes".

Bloomberg has already spent more on TV ads than all the other stiffs...combined.

...all this effort to defeat President Donald Trump...flattering !

"STOP and FRISK" for president !!!

Rightly so,  but Bloomberg would simply be another in the gaggle of tired and sad losers marching towards another beat down come election night.

And yet he's polling behind Kamala Harris and Andrew Yang, while skipping the first four states. Go ahead Bloomberg, waste your money.

He just started and he's polling ahead of at least a dozen other candidates.

When you just start, that's when you are often at your highest level of support as you get a temporary bump that eventually fades. Your support also wains when lose four primary states in a row. Having higher support than Coery Booker while trailing Kamala Harris and Andrew Yang during your announcement bump this late into the process, is nothing to write home about. Dude is in seventh place, with little time to make up ground.

This is Captain Stop and Frisk trying to win a Democrat primary in 2020 dude, Bloomberg is dead on arrival. He could spend his entire fortune on this Democrat primary run, and he'd still lose.

The most important issue for Democrats is who can beat Trump.  As it becomes obvious Warren and Sanders can't do it, and doubts continue about Briden, I think support will move to the person most likely to be able to take him on, and that's not going to be Harris or Yang or Buttiegeig.

Biden will win, it won't be Bloomberg, more likely to be Buttigieg than Bloomberg.

I don't mind Biden winning. Anyone presented as reasonable will, I think, beat Trump. The important thing to bear in mind is who can win in Wisconsin and Arizona and Pennsylvania and Michigan. Not who wins in New York.

You underestimate Trump, and the Dems don't have any reasonable candidates who can beat him.
