Please read my post again.

Once was enough thanks...but if you want to claim " we appear to have processed the change  politically " means we stopped expressing wide spread concern about too much state power, I still disagree.  I do not know who you referred to as we, but the reference refers to subjective impression we accepted more state powers after 9 11 with no continuing concern. What you call " processed" I limit to the manufacturing of cheese or to a suggestion we accepted . The fact people are not in the streets shooting each other does not mean we have no concerns about too much state power.

Michael not all of us with a healthy distrust of government and refrain from breaking the law have " processed" as you call it or accepted or accept too much government power.

That reference as to having processed government imposition left the door open to my interpretation because words like"processing" easily serve to couch words like "forcing" or "extinguishing" for governments of all kinds. Thanks I know what " processing" means. Honest I do. Swallowing.

Nah I don't drink koolaid. Give me a whiskey sour with real lemons no mix. That or strong rum with pine apple juice, a dryish but fruity vintage like beaujolais or a Stella Artois, Amsterdam Pale Ale , Bitter Lemon and vodka, but  no koolaid.  Tequila I take in a shot glass with a side of lemon and lime water with ice. I do drink skim milk. If you make a caesar  very spicy I like that same comment for a bloody merry.  In my world processor either serves a legal edict or is a tool to turn everything into mush.

..and you see no legal, privacy, civil liberties, freedom issues with your suggestion?

Honestly, do you really think they are watching you?  Specifically?  What for? Amazon and Google are.  Apple, Walmart and Home Depot are. Big brother doesn't give a shit.

If you are fine with using a tracking app then go for it.   Make it voluntary and there will be much more compliance, supporting the actual tracking goal. Force people ("mandatory") and there wil

You quickly forget how fast Trudeau implemented the War Measures Act and enabled arbitrary detention of perceived enemies of the state. Now we have a Charter Of Rights supposedly to prevent what he did but it still has a section enabling state imperative to override individual rights.

Your current leader and son of this man, praises China's government efficiency and believes it's acceptable to try directly interfere with on going legal proceedings to protect his partisan interests, one being Lavalin a company that financed the building a state of the art prison for the detention and  torture of the political enemies of Mummar Ghadafi.

You have a PM creating arbitrary lists of guns to ban and you are living at a time when most of us are in lockdown..you clearly are selective in what you see.

Some of us believe too much power in government is a threat to democracy. We believe that because we come from countries and histories that taught us that or these are people who have been arbitrarily arrested, detained or forcefully taken from parents and placed in schools to be abused or told where we should live.

You choose to seevonky from your perspective what you think you need. Government is simply an agent you use to imposevyourcsubjectivd opinions on others. Thanks but I prefer a more balanced approach to state and individual rights. Is that you Justin?

Any other questions?

Yeah. What the hell was all that about anyway? Regardless of what you see as the potential of government's to overstep human rights we do not have a police state. And I don't see Justin Trudeau as having the spine to implement one.

But they have that level of oversight NOW if they want. All they have to do is access google and your ISP. And no, it's not a police state.

Yes it is, incrementally to the point we re monitored for all sorts of reasons. It's the thin end of the wedge. Just needs a little more pounding, why not since we have the capability.

I have the right to turn my cellular data off. No more Google no more ISP. Telephone tower tracking is another thing available to the law. But it cannot be readily accessed by everyone, only upon police request when it's for a reason. I accept those circumstances.

What I don't accept is forcing me to be trackable at all times through an app that must be installed. Not unlike the amber alert app.

We see how useless these grand ideas are. Their implementation sounds good and looks good in some board room full of MBA's. Now we hear that companies would also like to use that data to track their employees while they are working outside the office.

Next up,

You are called in to the bosses office (Zoom meeting...) Why were you at the location of so-and-so, which we do not approve of in our HR policy? You try to reply back your explanation through the camera/microphone/screen. You feel like Sam Lowry in "Brazil".

No, we stopped talking about the measures put in place to combat terrorism.

Of course we can debate trading freedom for security.  We already did, and moved on to the next thing.

Not right now no and hopefully not simply because of an app properly used.

Of course. But you know me, I care about you and your freedoms. You know how caring I am. Do what Argus does, just spray me with Atwater bottle when I jump at you. I am a Golden Retriever .

Who are you referring to? As far as I'm aware every single major medical organization in the world wants a vaccine and says it will be the ultimate solution to this virus.

You will make a great comrade for your dear comrade leader Trudeau and the rest of our leftist liberal and socialist clown politicians who are running this gawd forsaken country into the ground, and making fools of people like you who still believe that social distancing, stay at home, and wait for a new Gates to hell vaccine to come out is the answer. I actually believed that you had some common sense and logic going thru your head, but now I can see that you do not have any of those qualities at all.  You are one of the reasons why I cannot even get an haircut these days. Fools like you should just stay at home for good and not go out and go spread your big bad scary virus to anyone. Works for me. :P

Well, you certainly have shown to me many times over that you do not believe in my freedom of speech, hypocrite. :D

So if you want to push back on this, just so that the government knows that there are people who don't accept increased power just because they said so... Well ok.  I won't but ok.

That's just straight up ridiculous moonbattery.  And you seriously like to project the notion you're some sort of omniscient adult in the room?

You usually seem a lot more like Sam Lowry's mom.

You go ahead and yuk it up, little fella. That will be your contribution of note. While women and children suffer, child poverty in the rise, suicide hotlines overloaded. Keep right on laughing.

I'm only laughing at you doofus especially your penchant for using suffering people as some sort of prop/deflection to protect you from facing the silliness of your paranoid delusions.

Yes, it's easy for some people to laugh while others go through a living hell. But do feel free to carry on about the minutia of all the bullshit that merely irritates you.

You're the one who seems irritated and for reasons that are ridiculous and have a lot more to do with the people you're most irritated with than the issues they're talking about.

And what minutia are you talking about, you mean the questions I asked you?  I get that they irritate you, that's the intent. Notice I keep coming back to them time and time again. If you think that's going to change or something you're wrong, so you best either just answer them or shut up.

What questions are you referring to? I only like to answer the good ones, not silly assumptions based on something I didn’t say. Ask a good question, chances are you’ll get a good answer.

Ask a stupid one...
