Are we taking this systemic racism to far already...

NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh is the most prominent person who has suggested the incident would have had a worse ending if Hurren weren't white.

The incident at Rideau Hall followed weeks of stories about police officers treating people of colour, especially Indigenous people, harshly, to the point of killing them.

Originally, I thought all these protests were about 2 things, one black lives matter, and 2 , the excessive use of force ,plus the use of deadly force by police officers... but I guess not, this is now about the RCMP not shooting the white man during the attack on parliament .... because RCMP got this one right it , this incident is now being used to display an example of racism to the rest of the country  .... And he is an elected official in our nations parliament, I wonder does he have a security detail  of RCMP, and what do they think about these accusations....Or am i making something out of nothing...

Apparently Jagmeet thinks 100% of non-white criminals are shot or killed by police upon arrest?

Jagmeet is a piece of crap.

Unfortunately for Canada, that means that the NDP won't be drawing voters away from the Libs.

So he believes he has been discriminated against in the past?

Well, he is right.  I discriminate against Hindu's based on past negative experience with each and every one I have had any business dealings with.

But then you have government sanctions against other nations for just the same reason.   So if a government is Kocher with issuing sanctions against a whole country, or an Ebay seller is allowed to ban shipments to countries of choice, I too have a right on a personal lever to select people I want t o do business with, or elect to represent me!

I've said it before and will say it again , multiculturalism does not work for so many different reasons.

No one has been able to demonstrate to me that 'systemic racism' even exists today. Usually when you ask they get angry and give you specific instances where someone allegedly did or said something racist. At best, they mention the Indian Act, but nobody likes the Indian Act and we'd love to get rid of it if we could get the indians to agree.

Once you accept the existence of "systemic racism" you can't win. Anything can be an example of it and any contradiction gets shouted down by the "Whose streets? Our Streets!" minority.

For them it's us versus them. But you can't accept that and shout back because if you do you're the bad guy. There's a third side. The wishy washy middle. They can't accept the idea that there is a conflict. Although they're shy to admit it too loud they've bought into the lie of the victimized racial minority. They don't want to be seen as the bad guy so they just say  there is no battle and attack anybody noticing that there actually is one as being combative and the cause of the conflict.

I think those of us who know there is a conflict need to take our eyes away from the cause for a bit and deal with what think of themselves as moderates. We need to clarify the enemy for them so even they can recognize the obvious conflict with an obvious enemy. And the enemy isn't 'people of colour."  It's what call themselves "Progressives" through socialists to the admittedly communists. Or as I like to call them, the 'Prog->comms.'

Progcomms invented this 'systemic racism' lie to cause division. We need to clarify the enemy and shout back. Once they realize that we've identified the real enemy and object to the nonsense they are creating they'll back away like they always do. For awhile after FDR, "Progressive" became a slur and they backed away. We need to make it one again. Without the Progs the Comms are no threat. With them they are. The comms create the term 'systemic racism.' When they get the progs to start believing in it, that's when you've got a problem.

Exactly.  On one occasion I asked Michael Hardner.  His proof was linking to laws from the 1920s that have been out of existence for decades and decades.  That’s the best they can do.  Which really means, it doesn’t exist.

Doesn't sound like my style.  I would probably just ask if you think racism really doesn't exist.

I also threw you a bone that 'systemic' is too vague to be meaningful, but you forgot that part.

Jagmeet is a Sikh, not a Hindu.

I do not stereotype many millions of people based on a few bad apples.  I've had both wonderful and horrendous experiences with all sorts of South Asians including Hindus, Sikhs, Christian Tamils etc.

Jagmeet's religion or ethnicity is not the reason he said something stupid here.

And... A bunch of middle-aged white guys posting to each other, agreeing that there's no racism is about the best description of the relevance of this forum btw.

There is racism.  But saying a non-white person would have been treated differently in the Rideau Hall incident is stupid.  It's race-baiting BS.  I mean, maybe he would have been, but making a truth claim that he would have been is stupid.

The guy was charged with 22 offenses.

It's speculation, is what it is.  Stupid?  It's a guess.

Yes it is speculation you're right.  it's a stupid thing for a federal party leader to say.  This is the 2nd time he's race-baited the government, the other time was in the House of Commons not long ago where he was removed from the HOC for those remarks of calling a Bloc MP racist and refusing to apologize.  You can't just blast people with baseless accusations of racism whenever you feel like it.  It's slander.

That's OK.  I make no distinction.  There are at least 50 different languages and ethnicities in India.   There are probably over 50 different shades of white too, but Singh would call all of them white.

Not if it gets the right kind of voter to vote for him.  Nobody who counts is calling for him to step down.

So you think he's race baiting to get people to vote for him?  Well then you're right he wouldn't be stupid just be a disgusting piece of turd.

You keep doing this - exaggerating what people say to make it sound bad when it really isn't.

NO ONE has denied that racism exists.

And by the way, what has our race got to do with it? What has our age or gender to do with our opinions? And how do you even know what age, race or gender we are? Have you presumed something not in evidence?

Here's a perfect example of the horrific 'systemic racism' in policing! Aaagh! Aaagh!

In 2019, 14 unarmed Black Americans were shot and killed by police. Of those 14 unarmed Black Americans, only 5 of them were NOT physically attacking the police. Of those 5 incidents, only 2 of the police officers were White.

I admit that I exaggerated and reacted knee-kick style to Shady's claim: "Which really means, it doesn’t exist."

Where did you get this info?  Link?

Edit:  I followed the links in your pic above.  The stats seem to check out.
