Dual Citizenship....an abuse of privilege?

Recommended Posts

One of the soldiers killed during the initial Hezbolah attack was a Canadian citizen. You didn't see the Canadian media going gaga over that, though. Nor have I even seen a single mention of it. Nobody cares what happens to Canadian Israelis. Certainly not the notoriously anti-semitic Canadian left.

There have been two Canadian Israeli soldiers killed so far in the conflict. It made the the front page of the national papers each time. And one Israeli Canadian has been arrested for spying.

The Canadian detained is a Geography teacher, travelling and photographing Israel for his classes on the Middle East. He was spotted taking photos near the Lebanese border, something I would think a lot of tourists would do. He was arrested and is being held without formal charges, as a spy.

Do you have any cites of these front page stories? I have not seen any.

It's interesting that the only mention of the soldier killed when chasing the Hezbollah kidnappers is on canada.com, while the others all reference a helicopter pilot going down, possibly by friendly fire.

I only placed the stories that are not content protected. I was told that some people couldn't see some Globe and Mail or Winnipeg Free Press stories. More and more papers are doing that.
